- This is Thom Radice’s last operation session of the season. At the suggestion of a viewer I chose not to narrate the action so you can hear the sounds of the Soundtraxx decoders and the other operators doing their thing.
Our train started in Kingston and was headed by the engine "New Jersey". We started by turning the engine on the eye towards Chattanooga. Then we assembled our train of artillery and supplies headed towards the war front and headed out.
After refueling and watering along the way we arrived in Chattanooga about 45 minutes late. Because the New Jersey needed service and refueling we decided the best solution was to take the Georgia RR engine "Alabama" that was fueled up and watered, serving as the yard engine to be our power for the now late departure of the express passenger train we had to rush to Atlanta. We chose not to turn the engine and ran tender first to Atlanta. A very windy long ride. We saw several other trains along the way to Atlanta.
I've had the privilege of seeing Mr. Radice's amazing work, all brilliantly researched and detailed. His craftsmanship is beyond compare.
Indeed his layout is wonderfully sceniced and extremely well researched. He always seems interested in reworking and updating a scene if the current research changes.
Thom,
It was very nice to view your railroad in action having never seen it in person. The details make it come to life. Thank you for sharing, keep up what you obviously enjoy doing.
I will pass on the compliments. It really is an amazing layout. Thom always outdoes himself.
Wow! A great layout with beautiful scenery and modelling. Also love the way the scenery blends into the back drop. Nice seeing a rarely modelled era.
Very cool. I absolutely agree. It is a wonderful layout and Ill pass the compliments to Thom.
As a fellow modeller (with an interest in USCW railroading) this is one very, very beautiful model layout. The construction, alterations to what is basically a standard Mantua 'General' and scenery etc are an inspiration. I love it.
Thom runs the ACWRRHS as a Special Interest Group under the NMRA banner. If you haven’t already you should check that group out. He has described his Mantua surgery process there.
This ia beyond awesome. Master craftsman at work.😃😃
Thom's work is really amazing. The thing that gets me every time is that his skills are not just focused on one area. his research, planning, scenics and electronics are all so well done.
Dr Greer?
I’m not sure I understand.

I love your video. 👍🏻
💡The voice in the video sounds like Dr. Greer who has appeared in several interviews and documentaries discussing his work and hypotheses regarding extraterrestrial life, and government cover-ups. There are numerous videos of his work on UA-cam.🙂
@@xqxiv1559 Thank you. I will have to look him up.
