I gotta agree! This guy is too likeable first off, then has some off-the-cuff material that burns down the place! On top of that he's a great comedy writer and stand-up. Currently my favorite out there in 2022. And has been for a few years now.

If a girl gets the ick from you and breaks up with you out of nowhere. Just look her dead in the face and say ok. And walk away. Never contact her again and i promise you within 2 weeks you'll hear back from her. Nothing drives a woman more insane than not knowing if she had the upper hand in the relationship.

This podcast proves a point that keeps making more and more sense nowadays, if you wanna understand women, don't ask them, don't ever listen to what they say, instead watch what they do, women don't even understand each other.

It's actually kinda freeing to hear that women are illogical about their infatuations and rejections. I can just accept that the "ick" happened and get over it. And also, it reinforces to me the stereotype that women are quite affected by disgust. In my experience, some guys are like that (and it's pretty annoying), but I feel that women use it to judge others and validate their opinions. Again, this is a gender difference I can just accept. If it happens, I'll just shrug my shoulders and move on. It's great to know the differences and have them clarified because we truly are the same in almost every single way that matters, especially in terms of human rights and how the law should treat us, so knowing where we are different is awesome so that I can accept them and move on.

Yeah, when they were describing how they liked a nice alpha male that treats them well but dismisses other women, they were just describing a man with high social status. Women are always analyzing men's status either consciously or unconsciously. It's not that the man doesn't let them have the control, it's that they will give him all the control if they feel like he has a lot of status. He doesn't even need to be alpha or nice or dismissive to other women.

Was just about to ask about the anal thermometer bit, but you finally addressed it in the last 2 minutes. Only seem a half dozen episodes so far, but that seemed to be an ongoing bit. Don't know why, but all my favorite podcasts over the years have those kind of ongoing bits; I first saw Kim on GDWH, where the whole ongoing thing is to get the guests high and randomly do segments (Pot topix, etc.). The Bonfire has great drops, there are numerous ongoing bits with LoS, and RAP has Luis's sh*tty sound effects. Obviously, you still have to be funny, or at least have interesting conversations, but having ongoing bits gives frequent listeners/viewers something familiar, where they feel almost like they are part of an inside joke. My friends and I will sometimes do the bits together when not listening, like referencing a Bonfire drop in an appropriate real-world situation (Christine's "You know I've slept with many men, and some of them had small dicks" comes to mind). I highly recommend having 4-5 ongoing bits to periodically sprinkle in, and maybe one or two that are constants, because it does seem to be a feature that good podcasts have, and gives the audience that familiar feeling to your podcast. Don't have the show be only ongoing bits, obviously (that would get stale), but the hole temperature bit could be like SDR having the "first time" segment every show, and then you have a handful of other bits you do every half-dozen shows, like LoS with "Who's most justified" or RAP with "does it live or does it die?" Anyway, hope it helps; been enjoying it so far (mostly), and see a lot of potential as you guys grow the show, so thought I'd give some audience feedback.
One more bit of advice: this was a good episode, where you guys discussed real stuff, but it didn't get too preachy or serious. I do think, rather than just being like LoS where they are constantly focused on being funny and don't ever really discuss anything, you guys could talk about real stuff (like men and women's different wants/needs in this episode) and have it be genuinely interesting (more like Skeptic Tank), but you have to make sure that you don't fall into the trap some other female-led podcasts I used to listen to now do- which is get too serious, preachy/politically-righteous, etc. This episode was perfect, especially when Kim almost seemed to fall into the trap, but caught herself and made a joke out of it (talked about throwing coffee in Mark's face and called him a PoS). Mark also helped save it when he joked about "feeling attacked", but that is what I mean. Ari might actually be a great example of more your style, where he can talk about serious/deep stuff with the guest (depression, tragedy, etc.), but has a great sense of when to pull out of that and make a joke. It seems you guys (especially Kim) have a sense of that energy build-up and need for release, and I encourage you to exercise that muscle. I will watch, even if you guys aren't a show where a handful of people race to a joke constantly, and you're more like a conversation/discussion, but again if you do so you must maintain that balance of relating to people and knowing how to pull out of tension with a joke. If it becomes preachy (especially in a feminist "women are better" way) or takes itself too seriously, it will be another podcast I used to listen to, but eventually stopped. Again, hope this podcast fan's feedback helps, because I want the show to do well.
P.S. I think Alex is one of the more rational ladies I've heard in a while, and Kim has been hilarious. She has improved a LOT since I first saw her on GDWH, seemingly because of something she demonstrated on the episode, where she stopped herself from bombing beforehand; if you say 10 things and only 1 is funny, you seem less funny than if you ONLY said the 1 funny thing (restraint being a skill Luis, for example, still hasn't learned, lol). And again, although Alex doesn't make me laugh as often, it's refreshing to hear honest and logical female points of view, which is what I get from her. I think the combination of those two elements, and your chemistry, could make this my favorite female podcasts, and up there with Skeptic Tank for conversational/discussion style podcasts (as opposed to Bonfire and Los, which are more joke-focused and less conversational/deep). Best of luck ladies, and hope this was more helpful than annoying (this being unsolicited advice).
