This video is now over 74 million views. The 1994 Pavarotti Nessen Dorma Three Tenors is now 48 million. I think this is the most watch single opera performance.

What a wonderful, supportive comment, that she is "the best child singer because she did NOT start pushing her voice" to sound older than she is - she sang in her NATURAL voice with all the vibrato in unique technique - and as you said, her parents never used Amira as the money-maker with touring - Amira stayed in school and took part in various sports and her dad kept his job to support - - and Amira's voice was so protected that some trolls were negative about her not singing all over the world - - and her inward focus and calm are amazing - and to me it is a MIRACLE and MYSTERY that she remained so grounded and affectionate without temperamental problems - so as a total package as a person, I admire her strong character, rejoice in her bubbly personality, and appreciate the way she saved me from depression - and her music is used as therapy by some Veteran groups in America - the total package is one of upliftment: Amira has the X-factor that goes beyond mere technique and saves a lot of people and we can't explain it, but we all support YOUR positive comments - thank you for going against the grain and supporting one child opera singer! - especially as she turned 18 in 2022 and will study music at a university; and her voice still retains that velvet-warm and silken-smooth quality.

Amira's well-trained soprano's technical prowess is unheard of at the age of 10 - and the voice of an amazing child prodigy is heard. Very early on, Amira's vibrato and squiro virtuosity is miraculous, touching the hearts of listeners and giving the whole audience a standing ovation.
The most incredible it's that she learned by herself, watching videos on UA-cam. If i'm not mistake, just 6 months separate the Holland's Got Talent of this presentations and she toke just a few lessons before be in the stage with André Rieu. This performance was in July following HGT. Amira turned 10 in March. Amira attended a Masterclass with Andre Rieu in London. Leading up to this Performance for the Ages.

The first time I heard this I knew instantly that this was a superstar in the making...and it has been exciting to follow her over the years with so many of her magnificent performances....as she progresses and matures it is highly likely that she will eventually become legendary.
Great reaction. The clothes she is wearing, I believe this is normal outfit for this piece. The year before this a grown person sung it wearing the outfit. As for Amira, she just is outstanding.
This is her first performance after Holland's Got Talent. Rieu called her and offered her (and her brother!!) a master class in voice, and her brother in violin,, and her a spot in his show. This video shows that spot.

Age: she was 18 last March, and is now "On her own", the name of her last streaming show. She is completely grown up now. I enjoyed watching her grow up, but now, it's onward and upward.
I've heard that Amira can speak 7 languages and sing in 12 languages, but I can only think of Amira as a genius with a great singing talent and a great IQ! 😊🙌

What you say about voice changing and muscle memory .. I recall one interview with Amira in her earlier teens where she did mention the challenge of working with her changing voice.
Yes. Amira recently, already 18 years old, gave a long interview to Classical Crossover Magazine, here on UA-cam, in which she discussed at length the changes in her voice over the years. Very interesting. Even though this magazine has interviewed singers like Sarah Brightman, Jonathan Antoine, Mirusia, Celtic Woman and other big names, Amira's interview is by far the most viewed and entertaining.

What a pleasure to switch on my computer this morning and find this Reaction. We have waited so long for you to do this. It is a wonderful start to the day. Thank you, Valerie. Two other early ones that are not blocked are Funiculi Funicula with Sunnyboy Dladla (dress rehearsal). and a school concert soon after she moved to South Africa (two arias).
What amazed me the most about this child's performance was her utter POISE and CONFIDENCE on stage. After suffering through the years of hype surrounding her predecessors, Jackie Evancho and Charlotte Church, listening to a young girl with this kind of talent and technique was like a breath of fresh air. I found her ability to sustain notes unlike anyone else her age, and her amazingly warm and passionate head voice made me forget I was actually listening to a little girl, until I noticed that the microphone looked like a FOOTBALL next to her tiny face. With so many of these other wannabees burning out by the time they're in their teens, I only hope that she continues her training to become a great singer as she matures.
P.S. I almost enjoyed watching your reaction to Amira, Valerie, as much as I did hers.
Ich denke das Amira auch einen großen Vorteil bei der Atemkontrolle hat, weil sie auch eine sehr gute Sportlerin ist. Als sie beim Vorsprechen zu „Hollands got Talent“ äußerte das sie sich vorstellen könne, mal bei den olympischen Spielen anzutreten war das gar nicht so weit hergeholt. Es klang bei einer Neunjährigen lustig. Aber sie hatte zum damaligen Zeitpunkt schon den jährlich, in ihrer Heimatstadt statt findenden 15 km Lauf, zweimal hintereinander, als erste gewonnen. Und ich denke, bei der Selbstkontrolle, die sie bisher bewiesen hat, wäre auch das ein Weg für sie gewesen.

As someone who doesn't go to the opera, and therefore not a fan, I find it amazing that I recognize almost every song performed on talent shows or exhibitions because they cover the same half dozen songs over and over. One could easily get the impression that there are only that many great songs in the entire genre.
...they have only a few songs to show what they can do and the 3 most often done covers a very wide range of vocal use... Operaic...is a style. Opera... is a show and a type of music. and a Opera house around 3-5k is built just for the sound and that is why no need for a mic...do yourself a favor... next time you have chance... go see one in " Opera house " if you love music ... you will like it ...and to start a lite Opera not a heavy one...

She did not have professional training. She taught herself from UA-cam videos.
As you do I hear a child voice in this performance too, it might be the perfect vibrato that fools the ears on listeners without the knowledge.
As you said voices changes during maturing. In Amira case her voice changed much more than average. Her voice today almost can´t be recognized compared with her early voice. I´m not sure if OMBC today fits her voice anymore and she stayed away from it. Other young talents now +20 like Patrica Janeckova, Solomia, Jackie Evancho you still can hear the origin of their voices clearly. Especially Jackie sings OMBC-Nessun Dorma almost identical as when she was young. Because of drastically changed voice Amira had to work much harder to cope with it and adapted repertoire to circumstances. Of this four talents both Patricia and Solomia voices been pushed prematurely by their vocal teachers while Amira and Jackie has not been pushed.
Also Amira made very little personal income on her music, most of revenues gone to her charity. What she earns is small amounts of revenues on her YT-channel. But mr Rieu made millions of $$ on this particular performance which also on his DVD which sold millions copies. Because the performance got viral he also sold tens of thousands extra package tickets. Some customers even made complaint Amira wasn´t on the show when they attended. Minimum what Rieu is obliged to Amira is to fully sponsor her future studies at music university of choice. Amira in an interview said the music industry if full of sharks, bet she also has mr Riue in her thoughts.
Amira has stated several times she has very fond memories of this performance, and meeting Andre.Your assumption has no merit.
@@stevenM8282 How much do Amira get in revenues for this performance with easily +300 million views on social media. Those views is worth approx +600K usd only for the commercials. (Not accounting mr Rieu extra ticket sales worth much more.)
