Big supporter of a 15' flip line made of 1/2" webbing. Very versatile. Basically a mini throw line. Easy for multiple people to pull on. Also great for anchors. Plenty strong

Ive switched to using a sewn runner that they use in rock climbing. The are sewn so super strong and I like that they are a loop so it easy to grab one end when are flipping a boat while all adrenalined up. I keep it in my front pocket of my PFD. They are also good for a flip line's most important function: tying your boat to a tree during lunch time

I agree, except for the knife at the throat.

Looks like a great day at Henningsen. I've been using a 10ft BlueWater Bluewater Titan Anchor Sling- 13mm' 3,372 lb breaking strength and takes up minimal space in my PFD.

I have been rafting for and kayaking for 35 years and I have never heard anyone recommend putting a loose piece of strap or cord around one's waist. Who would do such a thing? If you put that silly $35 strap around your waist, it would be loose as well. Finally, if you don't know how big the loop is going to be, you need to improve your knot-smithing skills. You must be some sort of commercial guide or some other sort of stooge that knows little about river safety and rescue.
