I'm working on getting stronger. I had a lung transplant back in February. I'm finally out of the hospital and at a temporary house until the last day of June. Your videos got me through a lot. I started watching way before, but after surgery and sleeping for 2 weeks, I'm glad you do these videos. I love Halloween and I'm hoping to dress up and do something fun. My Mom's family is from Oklahoma and they are the lawn chair and watching from the garage kind of people. I'm the "Help me get the mattress off the bed and put it in the bathroom" person! LOL.

That is accurate of us okies. I am from southeastern oklahoma and I can definitely say we sit on the front porch and watch all storms as if we are Miranda Priestley and its just a drizzle 😂😂😂
I can't tell you how much I appreciate your sense of humor, humility and decorating sense. Been a tough year, major surgery for me, and a very unexpected spinal tumor found on my 23 yr old daughter in April. It was removed June 2nd. Backbrace walker and 9 days in the hospital... I sat in one of the hospital "chairs" rewatching J the L videos for hours while she slept. Thanks again for all you do!! Keep creating and sharing!! God bless!!

I used to love extreme weather. And movies about extreme weather. LOVED Twister and Dante’s Peak and enjoyed 2012 when it came out. (I’ll still watch them even though the entire time I feel it’s an absolute possibility 😅)
But in recent years, I’ve developed an anxiety about extreme weather, it’s one of my biggest fears…no idea why that shifted lol
I watched Twister over and over as a kid and I got OBSESSED with them, I love them so much I just find them so fascinating and powerful and just thinking about them gets me excited! I live in Southern California so I’m definitely not going to be hearing sirens anytime soon but part of me wants to see one before I die haha!
This is me too hahaha. Twister gave me an unhealthy obsession for sure. I considered wanting a career storm chasing! If I could watch one from a safe distance I'd be SO EXCITED.
Central Floridian here and I’m scared shitless of tornadoes!🌪 I think the main reason is because we don’t have basements here in Florida. We do get warnings and watches every once in a while mainly during the cold fronts moving through or when hurricanes wanna make a stop here. 😆 I definitely agree with you, the film Twister scared me as a kid. My husband agrees that the sound a tornado makes definitely sounds like a freight train. 🚂😭😱 He’s been in one! 😬

Also I lost my 18.5yr old cat in December and it has been challenging. You’ll go thru his things when you’re ready. When I went thru my lil Bubz’ belongings I selected a senior cat rescue and gave them all his specialty foods, meds, medical supplies etc and honestly just knowing that his things were going to other senior kitties made it significantly easier. It was still hard because when you give away their things it becomes “really” final, like you’ve fully accepted they’re not coming back 😞 and that’s the hardest part. But I’m glad his things helped other geriatric cats. Maybe there’s a senior dog rescue in your area and you could donate to them. 💞

So sorry about your fur baby I’ve lost my 16 year old Mainecoone and then different senior strays I would take in just rips your heart out I still feel for each one I made shadow boxes pictures a favorite toy and i had their paw prints done and I like to think when I think about them that means they are thinking about us too!! I’m with you on the tornadoes. We don’t get nearly as many here, but growing up on the Canadian prairies (the northern end of tornado alley) you learn to watch the sky for signs things could get ugly. My mum would always send us to the basement. She’s from the UK where they don’t get tornadoes. When I was little she saw the beginnings of a funnel cloud go over our house but didn’t know what it was. After that she was very careful and would send us to the basement if there was any sign of a possible twister. We don’t have the sirens, but when there’s a tornado watch or warning I head for the basement. My sister is the kind that goes out to look for it. I think that’s crazy! 🌪
I wanted to be a storm chaser as a kid, I’ve always been fascinated by extreme weather. I live in Ohio so we rarely get anything like that and now as an adult it actually makes me nervous. My boyfriend and I are both weather nerds so we always keep up to date on what’s going on around the country. So far this year we’ve had some tornado warnings and some pretty bad storms… always when we’re both at work and I do get scared because our pets are home alone. I’m working on a setup for the basement for them in case anything does ever happen so they can be safe while I grab my camera and try to sneak glimpses of the storm lol can’t completely give up that childhood dream. I was never into wrestling but we’re big UFC fans and a lot of people don’t understand that either lol. Love that you and your brother still go watch it though, I’m a big fan of nostalgia. Hey ghoul, hey! Yesssss please lash tutorials, fellow Libra with same deepest eyes, I struggle with the lashes, would all the tips including the lashes you prefer and the ones to avoid. More tutorials and basically anything love your chats and glad you guys are doing so much better. When our fur babies passed I had to just get it all picked up, I would have burst into tears seeing everything down and they weren't there. However the phantom visits as we called them were wild, we swore they walked through the room or were in their favorite spot and then vanish. Hope you had a blast at wrestling! I live in Tennessee which gets a lot of tornadoes, as well. I remember camping out under the stairs with our animals as a kid, but it never freaked me out until one day my mom was driving us to gymnastics class in the rain when I was 11. She commented on how difficult it was to drive straight because of the wind. My little sister said something so I turned my head to look at her, and over head through the car window I saw a newspaper floating around in the wind. I started laughing and told my mom so she looked over. She gasped and said "Oh my god that's someone's roof!" and swerved into an empty parking lot. We had been driving alongside it at a couple hundred feet away, but since we were separated by trees my mom hadn't even noticed.

I live in a basin here in Texas, which is basically a huge bowl! So we RARELY get any kind weather of natural disasters. Any time there’s any kind tornado activity it just dissipates before it gets to my town. But that doesn’t mean we don’t completely freak out when it happens. We don’t have basements here so we’re taught to stay away from any windows and go in the bathtub if anything does happen. It’s so scary lol we freak out when we get rain

I feel you when it comes to tornadoes and storms in general. Both of my parents are the kind to go and watch for the storms to come in meanwhile I am in the basement freaking out and crying about it! It really sucks living in tornado alley as a scared ghoul!
I do the same thing with my AC, fall candles, and fall perfumes. It really does help. 🖤
When I saw a grwm from you I got so excited! Like the old days when I first found you! ... I'm in Nebraska, I used to go looking for the tornados but now that I'm old I take my dog and head for safety lol! Also, night of the twisters is based on the 7 tornados that ripped through my town in 1980. There's still businesses that advertise that they survived. And we have a hill named "tornado hill" where people just put the debris and covered it with dirt, who knows why lol! But kids used to sled down it, now there's stuff poking out and its dangerous. 🌪

Hey ghoul hey! I was born and raised in Indiana, but now live in Vegas (my husband's family is all here). But I grew up in part of the Tornado Alley section of Indiana. There were a couple of big tornadoes we had growing up that scared the business out of me. The first one I was 6 years old and I remember my dad saying that we had a big storm coming that night.
I am JUST like you Jade. I panic at tornadoes. When I hear the sirens I bolt to whatever cover/ form of shelter I have. They give me so much anxiety. My dad, however, was the person with his video camera out, recording the storm and collecting hail 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I still to this day think he's crazy.
Thankfully, since we are in Vegas, tornadoes aren't a thing, thank goodness. My anxiety with weather/ natural disasters is very low due to that. But my family still lives in Indiana, so whenever I visit, if there are threats for tornadoes, I freak out. My parents don't have a basement and have to take cover at the hospital.
Sorry for this forever long rant, but I just had to share in my extreme fears of tornadoes. ❤️ The movie Twister ruined my childhood as well. Us 90's kids truly suffered through that trauma.

As someone who doesn't live in tornado alley or anywhere near it, tornadoes are still terrifying! We don't have storm cellars to duck into if one were to pop up...I feel lucky that we at least don't have to deal with tornadoes as frequently as you guys do. When hurricane/tropical storm Ida rolled through my state last year, it kicked up several tornadoes and it was horrifying seeing the news broadcast show exactly where the tornadoes were probably forming...a few ended up destroying several houses. Could've been worse but the thought of losing your entire house is just so sad

I live on the Gulf Coast so we get hurricanes, which always bring tornadoes with them. But come winter, we frequently get standalone tornadoes in Alabama as well. My phone wakes me up with the alert and I turn on the TV in my room (I'm in a single story ranch... very few basements in these parts) to watch my weather guy. If there's one coming straight for me I go in the hallway but that's only happened a few times! It's kinda stressful but I see it as a "I choose to live here and it comes with the territory" situation.
Ahh this tornado talk makes me nostalgic in a weird way lol. I grew up in the Ozarks right on the edge of Tornado Alley. There were a lot of watches, warnings, and sirens while I was growing up, but because it was so hilly where I lived tornados had a hard time forming so the worst we got was really strong winds. Whenever there was a possible tornado I would look out the window and see how the sky looked, and then stay inside going about my normal business but with the weather station on the TV in case something changed. That's also what I did the one time there was a tornado watch in my area after moving to NY, meanwhile all of my neighbors were freaking out XD
I love tornados too. Obviously I dont like the destruction it causes but to look at one it's so massive and truly beautiful.

I very recently discovered your channel, and then the most amazing thing happened. I was hearing you talk about your fear of wasps and those old Maury Povich shows, and some very deep thinking made me realize how very fear-based the OCD that I have suffered from for years and years truly is. I don't run screaming from wasps, but very, very similar fears have been causing me to, more or less, lose my mind (if you will). It was when you said that you can't comprehend how other people do not fear wasps in the same way that you do that I really began to relate. In my life, I have not been able to comprehend how other people do not practice the insane behaviors that I've always practiced. Anyway, your sharing has genuinely helped me, and these last few days have been some of the most pleasant I can remember ever having. I've felt so much less anxiety than I usually feel, and my everyday activities have been so much easier for me to accomplish! Thank you so much! Maybe it was just time for me to finally figure some things out so that I would have anyway, but your words seriously resonated with me, almost broke some kind of frozen state of mind I was in. Hey ghoul hey! Tornadoes absolutely terrify me!! I grew up in CA. I grew up preparing for earthquakes lol. So now that I live in TX (I googled if live in Tornado Alley and they say that parts of North Texas are considered to be part of it) I run and take cover just as you do with my child and tell my family I love them.

I am from Albertville, Alabama. We have crazy weather!!! In 2009 we got out of school early for a snow day, and it was actually legit, not just flurries. Then in April we had a tornado that destroyed a lot of the town and our high school.
We did have micro wrestling at one of the summer brew fest this year lol
The sponsors were even nice enough to provide them with lodging during their stay... all we had to offer was The Microtel Inn....

Concerning the tornado topic: I live in Germany and we usually don't have tornados here but lately we've had a few scares and that really concerns me because it's solely due to the climate changing. Also due to it not being part of the like weather description of my area I feel like we are really not prepared for what's to come
But even if you are used to it it's really devastating if a tornado hits and I recognise that.
Also my love to you and your family, I really love your content and constantly talk about you to my friends. It almost feels like your the cool big sister I never had 🥰
Y’all are so brave because I can’t handle seeing a stormy black sky without thinking if it’s potentially a tornado and I start to have panic attacks and that’s just with intense thunder storms so if we had big tornadoes here in West Texas I’d pass out before being able to do anything useful lol. Sirens were going off earlier this week in Chicago. I’ve lived in Illinois for nearly 37 years, and I am still the “run to the basement with everything you own” person. One of my cats ran under the coffee table, and I am now sporting a giant arm bruise from trying to grab her and falling into it lol. Also, NIGHT OF THE TWISTERS. DEVON SAWA. Gold. 🖤
I just love grwm videos because people are relaxed and genuine while doing makeup so you can definately do more of that 😉. I'm more summer type of a girl because then I have more free time to travel on our beautiful coast and islands (Croatia) and do the things I love. Also, most of the concerts/events here are happening mainly in summer so that is the time when I go live. Hugs&kisses

Btw with the tornado part, I get very very stomach sick scared when it's even thundering & windy. There was a time where I did hear a siren near the house I lived in during high school, & my siblings & I ran in the bathroom while the parents of this neighborhood are all standing outside.
I couldn't have that kind of bravery during a tornado of all disasters.

I live in Florida, but I can relate. I have always been terrified of tornados. They are one of my biggest fears ever since I was a child. Probably all the movies and storm chasers stuff on TV traumatized me. Hurricanes are big here but I am always the most scared about the potential for tornadoes

I grew up in Ohio and we had tornado-like activity every year. Still can’t remember what a watch or warning means though, or which is worse. My family definitely falls into the lawn chair category! I remember one summer I was home from college, and we had a tornado hit in the middle of the night, and it touched down maybe two miles from the house. We didn’t hear any of the sirens, didn’t hear the “train” but our neighbors across the street said it sounded like one was in their yard. We had a dead willow tree in the yard that dropped branches if you looked at it, but not a leaf was disturbed, it was so weird. Barns were torn apart and the metal siding was up in the trees, trees were cut off/ripped out of the ground so you could see the path the tornado took. So scary!
I’m thoroughly enjoying the warm weather, eating on the local restuarant patios once a week and planning out our first vacation in July. 😄
We don’t have tornados in Nova Scotia but we do get hurricanes sometimes. It isn’t scary, just gotta make sure you’re ready for power outages. 🤷♀️

I used to live in northern oklahoma and my dad was the type to go storm chasing a few times for fun (and even let me go with him once but nothing happened lol) while my mom was the anxious type. I was always fascinated by storms despite watching twister and all that stuff. the only tornado I remember coming to our town was when I was in high school and it kinda messed up some fences and that was basically it. maybe part of why I'm not so scared of tornadoes is because we never really got them lol. so many times we've gotten tornado warnings on tv and thought one was headed towards us and I swear we've had tornado sirens go off like 10 times that I remember at least and only ONCE did we actually get a tornado and it was very small. for some reason they went out before hitting our town or changed direction. I do remember kind of seeing (what's the word for it I forgot) the swirling clouds like a tornado was about to form but nothing came of it.
