"See, if you were subscribed to my UA-cam, you would not make such a painfully idiotic play as that." I'm a subscriber and I can confirm this is not true, I am a moron.
funny thing, yesterday kripp got destroyed after playing hydra against a pally in like 7 wins, the hydra got peacekeeped and it was gg. the entire chat was spamming "stop drafting hydra!" lol
Bittertide Hydra is like steroids - great value for great price when you first try it, but in the aftermath it becomes something that essentially kills you.
You also generate attributes usually associated with the opposite sex. Bizarrely, men who use steroids have been documented to develop breasts to a certain extent, whereas women who use steroids (they exist) grow body hair.
I have watched this video 6 times now, I keep clicking the "Watch another video" button on the endslate but it always brings me back here... If I don't make it out of this alive, tell my mother I love her.
Don't know if you can tell, but it's probably a typo. You're also over thinking the joke, since he's saying it's an easy win if volcano, a shaman card, is played with a hydra on the board.
I'm watching you since like... idk for about 2 years now and I really enjoy your content. Keep up the good work Kripperino PS: Greetings from Germany btw! :)
In the first clip the guy was probably baited into playing the Hydra. Krip used the hero power to hit face and the opponent probably thought something like "He has direct damage in his deck and he might top-deck it on next turn, better go all in while I still have a chance"
The only times I ever got a chance to use it, I was pretty lucky... One was in a Tavern Brawl as a Priest. It spawned off a 5 mana use of Forbidden Shaping. And I just so happened to have a Silence in hand. And inner fire... So, I Silenced it, first, then got really lucky and drew a Divine Spirit. So naturally, on that turned I made it into a 16/16 then attacked for face, with the ability already turned off... Was a nice surprise. I forget the other times, all were in Tavern Brawl, but playing it has never killed me. Yet. I damn as well wouldn't choose it on my own volition. But, been lucky enough to use it in situations where it's helped or be a great "bait" card...
If it had a yo-yo effect to bring it back to hand, like an "oops" button effect. Because your opponent can just flood the board with treants or murlocs and annihilate you. 1 damage becomes 3. It's the "I want to lose" card.
it's working in constructed because in constructed, in an aggro deck you already have put your opponenet in a dangerous position when turn 5 comes or made him use most of his removals. constructed: hydra with you at 30 hp, opponent at 15 hp (because he's defending). hydra immediate threat giving him lethal. no way to use it to your advantage arena: nobody can take control of the board that fast and that hard. hydra just a great way to get bit to death.
Had great experiences with Hydra. You just need to know when to play it/not play it. In a way it is a win more card. I think it's fair in some games to have a card that seals the win when you are ahead or equal on board. I have yet to have a big mishap from playing Hydra, though I have exploited when others have played Hydra against me for cheeky wins.
you also don't play arena anywhere as often as kripp does. these highlights were over a few weeks. Ive personally never seen anyone play hydra in arena. but if I 'played everyday all day, yeah I would.
I cleared a shamans board with a Firelands portal and got a Bittertide Hydra out of the portal. Then the shaman plays volcano striking the hydra 8 individual times dealing 24 damage to me and bringing me to lethal. Thanks Blizzard!
"See, if you were subscribed to my UA-cam, you would note make such a painfully idiotic play as that" If someone is suscribed to his UA-cam channel... the poor guy would have a real headhache.
The Bitter Tide hydra is pretty bad, however, It is great like the 6 drop 8/8 in silence priest, but don't let anyone know that. ;). Its a very limited situational card, its great if the enemy has no bored, and is not a mage and or druid or warrior and especially rogue. Other than that if the oppnant is at 6-8 health and your at around 22 28, ts a pretty good push card, since they have to remove the minion. Which is a great slot card for pushing final damage, as it forces them to remove the minion, and gives a high chance to protect, small constant damage.
I played hydra against pally and he obviously had a peacekeeper, it's one of those cards that has so many answers to it and you can take up to 24 damage.
i had 10-3 mage with fledgeling and hydra. hydra won me three games.Fledgeling won me three games solo. 4 games were won by using both(and getting them removed but not so fast) + fireball topdecks.
"Bitterhide Hydra is a trap card" Some people call the things they hate or don't like gay. But Kripp, you can't call them traps, because we all know, traps are not gay.
I think most people mistakenly pick hydra because heartharena rates it high value. I absolutely can confirm hydra is garbage. I stopped picking it after it lost me arena runs easily twice. The only time it has worked well for me is with agro hunter, where I went 8 wins because it closed the game out.
the real Bittertide Hydra: 5 mana 8/8 "Turn opposing Mage's hero power into the upgraded version of the Hunter hero power. Take 1 damage every time the enemy uses their hero power."
for once i have to agree with kripp lmao that day actually came :D ive beaten so many people recently just because they played that hydra KEEP GOING GUYS I WANT MY FREE WINS
Actually You're wrong Kripp. This card is amongst the best ones you can get in arena. If you want to trick people into not picking it, so you get an easier time (because really, a lot of people listen to your advices and make use of them), sure, but it has been performing GREATLY for me. And against me.
I found the Bittertide Hydra's effects is really bad when damage was dealt instantly, unlike the Clockwork Giant which only discard your card but not dealing real damage. I never pick hydra in arena but clockwork giant for a few times
Stopped drafting it after I drafted it the first time the week of launch. got wrecked by volcano once and that was it, lol. Heartharena needs to stop recommending it!
But the card is really good when you need a huge tempo swing on turn 5 if you have board advantage. It you only draft it when you have a tempo deck it's not "70%" of the time horrible like kripp said. Shaman's with volcanoes aren't very easy to find either
i drafted hydra literally once, saw that it is garbage, allowing the enemy to push his wincondition with small minions, dealing ridiculous damage to your face while removing a 5mana creature from your board - and thus, never drafted it again when offered to me. quite an obvious noob trap imo everytime an enemy drops a hydra i know i got this game
this is too true. I won a game I really really should have lost, but my opponent played it and I was able to bring him down because of the hydra. Stay away from the hydra.
Just because your opponents were playing it at horrible times (like when u had 4 creatures and them 0) doesnt mean its a bad card. Its just played improperly a lot. If he had 4 creatures and you 0, then it would help him finish the game before you could draw an answer. You just have to know when to play the card.
Maybe, now hear me out, this card would work better with silence, and this could be Blizzard's secret attempt at trying to make silence priests work again.
if both players had boards full of hydras and a bouncing blade is cast, would the game end as soon as someone reached 0 or would the spell play out resulting in most likely a tie with both players being in the negative?
kripp can say it as many times as he wants but bittertide hydra is still going to be good in arena. it absolutely closes games out when you are ahead. its an 8/8 for 5 for pete's sake! in my experience, if your opponent doesn't deal with it, they lose the game almost every time. now don't get me wrong, there is a strong sense of timing that must be used when playing this card and you must be aware that there will be games where you can't play it. but that was the same deal with fel reaver back in the day and that card was always good in arena. hell, i just finished a game not long ago where i played bittertyde turn 5 against a mage in a game where i had board control. he killed my other creature with volcanic potion and then arcane missled, all three hitting hydra. i won the game without a single bit of trouble. had that turn 5 play not been hydra, there is no way i would have closed that game out like i did. because of it, i prevented the mage from getting to any sort of late game control. the card is good. plain and simple. just be smart with it.
"See, if you were subscribed to my UA-cam, you would not make such a painfully idiotic play as that."
I'm a subscriber and I can confirm this is not true, I am a moron.
Luka Saracen 25 LIKES. so barbaric
I am. And watch my videos as a proof.
funny thing, yesterday kripp got destroyed after playing hydra against a pally in like 7 wins, the hydra got peacekeeped and it was gg. the entire chat was spamming "stop drafting hydra!" lol
Playing Hydra at 5 hp against a mage. That's a special kind of stupid right there.
Bittertide Hydra is like steroids - great value for great price when you first try it, but in the aftermath it becomes something that essentially kills you.
also your balls shrink
nice one dude
Philosopherino Kripperino Well said haha
You also generate attributes usually associated with the opposite sex. Bizarrely, men who use steroids have been documented to develop breasts to a certain extent, whereas women who use steroids (they exist) grow body hair.
it s the first time i see you, but you already became my favorite kripperino
Hydra works really well with Volcano
Hydra + Volcano requires 10 mana...
It's official we came up with the worst way to counter mirror entity
10 mana deal 24 damage OP
24 damage TO YOURSELF
Pug Bandito who cares? It's 24 damage
hsreplay.net/replay/gpebwzYK2qjL38CrDoiSPk
card is played at 4:27
you are a cripperino we needed in a lot of cases
I have watched this video 6 times now, I keep clicking the "Watch another video" button on the endslate but it always brings me back here... If I don't make it out of this alive, tell my mother I love her.
Philip Sibly I told her, she said she doesn't care.
as a shaman player please CRAFT MORE HYDRAS
Don't know if you can tell, but it's probably a typo. You're also over thinking the joke, since he's saying it's an easy win if volcano, a shaman card, is played with a hydra on the board.
But hydra is the thiccest 5 drop 😩👌
Biggierino Cheeserino Kripperino Thiccer does not mean better. I know from my own sad experience...
naruto opening 6 fucking weeb
Fel reaver is also pretty thicc if you're up for some huge robot ass.
Why use a 5 mana 8-8 when you can have a 4 mana 7-7
I'm watching you since like... idk for about 2 years now and I really enjoy your content. Keep up the good work Kripperino
PS: Greetings from Germany btw! :)
I love how the watch another video videos are the one you just watched and the previous one shitting on the hydra.

Wow these are just the clips where Kripp just crapped on the Hydra
This video made me so happy.
I love seeing an opponent with Bittertide Hydra and I've got Volcano. 24 points of damage about to be unloaded on the hero. LOL!
Oui.
IsKripperinointheVideorino Have u ever answered no?
non
twin emperor vek'lorino kripperino yes, he did... I saw him under Trump's video once.

You think I don't know I have an issue? God dammit Kripp I've tried to stop!! It's harder to stop drafting it than you think!
I watch Kripp's videos every day, and I have never played Hearthstone.
Drafting Hydra in arena where all your enemies are mages...
Whenever someone play Hydra against me, I look at my Fireflies, Arcane Missiles and Freeze spells in hand and form an evil grin.
No Amaz or Savjz in this video but we still have Kripp.
It _can_ carry you though, in an aggressive Hunter for example
Where are these players when i play arena???
you also don't play arena anywhere as often as kripp does. these highlights were over a few weeks. Ive personally never seen anyone play hydra in arena. but if I 'played everyday all day, yeah I would.
richanater99
Yeah, that's just what happens when you play so much Arena. You're bound to encounter almost everything.
I play arena almost every day tho,and im yet to encounter legends like these.
I cleared a shamans board with a Firelands portal and got a Bittertide Hydra out of the portal. Then the shaman plays volcano striking the hydra 8 individual times dealing 24 damage to me and bringing me to lethal. Thanks Blizzard!

I remember getting an avenging wrath from an ivory knight into a hydra. 6 mana dealt like 20 damage to face because i got a bunch of lucky hydra hits.
The best turn for me was when my opponent put a hydra and I immediately volcanoed it. insta concede.
Some of my most fantastic wins have come from the Shaman AOE for 15 damage and a hydra.
what's even better is using volcano when the only minion on the board is the hydra.
The hydra has won me several arena games... in one run it got me to seven wins
I played hydra against pally and he obviously had a peacekeeper, it's one of those cards that has so many answers to it and you can take up to 24 damage.
Should better be called ¨Betrayal´s Hidra¨
i had 10-3 mage with fledgeling and hydra. hydra won me three games.Fledgeling won me three games solo. 4 games were won by using both(and getting them removed but not so fast) + fireball topdecks.
"Bitterhide Hydra is a trap card"
Some people call the things they hate or don't like gay.
But Kripp, you can't call them traps, because we all know, traps are not gay.
vili rantala hydoshi totally wanted the D your logic is flawed
is it sad that I understand what a trap is?
KappaPride
vili rantala if it has a dick is gay
vili rantala that's where you're wrong, kiddo
my favour is hydra into volcano, followed by "thanks"
Ever play a bittertide hydra and then get it volcanoed? Pretty fun

A powerful 5 mana 8/8 epic card with a huge drawback? Where have I heard that one before?
for once i have to agree with kripp lmao that day actually came :D ive beaten so many people recently just because they played that hydra KEEP GOING GUYS I WANT MY FREE WINS
Basically, Hydra is only good if you can immediately silence it or grant stealth to it. Otherwise, it's "deal 24 damage to your hero".
More reason to take silence. Purify.
Actually You're wrong Kripp. This card is amongst the best ones you can get in arena. If you want to trick people into not picking it, so you get an easier time (because really, a lot of people listen to your advices and make use of them), sure, but it has been performing GREATLY for me. Top 10 anime betrayal

Stopped drafting it after I drafted it the first time the week of launch. got wrecked by volcano once and that was it, lol. Heartharena needs to stop recommending it!
first time I saw this card, I knew it was negative stars. Why? Volcano that's why
skipperino and shirterino back at it again 8mins in
"...and Im here to tell you guys this card is absolute garbage"
hahahahaha xD
I have found that drafting it in hunter is pretty good
Hard counter for the Bittertide Hydra: Volcano.
Zophah Or mage/paladin hero power
I'm still going to pick it in Hunter.
Played a dude that had two out. Volcano for 1 turn ko
But the card is really good when you need a huge tempo swing on turn 5 if you have board advantage. It you only draft it when you have a tempo deck it's not "70%" of the time horrible like kripp said. Shaman's with volcanoes aren't very easy to find either
Its pretty good with purify donno what your problem is :O
If I had cards, I'd play this in a priest silence deck.
i drafted hydra literally once, saw that it is garbage, allowing the enemy to push his wincondition with small minions, dealing ridiculous damage to your face while removing a 5mana creature from your board - and thus, never drafted it again when offered to me. quite an obvious noob trap imo

Jizz Fandango Silence priest is already a thing and this card is too slow for it.
I only drafted a bittertide hydra one time.
It was enough.
How does he fit his head in his shirt
best shaman arena game ever, opponent plays hydra & i play volcano for the insta win
LOL first duel haha wow must bine drunk/high hahaha xD
Hydra is a GOOD card. It's only BAD if your enemy plays Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Shaman, Paladin, Hunter or Priest
It's only good in silence priest
I can Understand Hidra in a silence priest deck.. but maybe there are better cards for that
Great video
I want to say that if you have initiative on the board it ain't that bad,
But yea you're prolly gonna win anyways.
Turns out it's PREEETTTY bad.
Bittertide Hydra is the best card against you, if you're shaman with a Volcano in hand :D
Why is kripp linking the same video at the end? I noticed he started doing that a couple of days ago and he still does it so it's not a mistake? :X
Hearthstone
your one of the most boring kripperino i have ever seen
"Follow the rules!"
A lot of value --> *IF*
Shadowverse Hydra can attack twice.
I had a guy play it on me in arena, he had 23 health and I topped deck Volcano.
Bittertide Hydra: because you wanted to commit suicide and the Shaman is glad to help with Volcano.
Hydra too OP--
Wait, what?
one word. purify
Day 1 of ungoro arena, roll shaman, get 3 volcano, see a ton of hydra. not so much now lol
Bittertide Hydra: 5 mana 8/8
Battlecry: 75% to lose the game.
if both players had boards full of hydras and a bouncing blade is cast, would the game end as soon as someone reached 0 or would the spell play out resulting in most likely a tie with both players being in the negative?
play hydra in wild as counter to sylvanas
overconfidence is a fast insidious citizen killer
kripp can say it as many times as he wants but bittertide hydra is still going to be good in arena. it absolutely closes games out when you are ahead. its an 8/8 for 5 for pete's sake! in my experience, if your opponent doesn't deal with it, they lose the game almost every time. now don't get me wrong, there is a strong sense of timing that must be used when playing this card and you must be aware that there will be games where you can't play it. but that was the same deal with fel reaver back in the day and that card was always good in arena. hell, i just finished a game not long ago where i played bittertyde turn 5 against a mage in a game where i had board control. he killed my other creature with volcanic potion and then arcane missled, all three hitting hydra. i won the game without a single bit of trouble. had that turn 5 play not been hydra, there is no way i would have closed that game out like i did. because of it, i prevented the mage from getting to any sort of late game control. the card is good. plain and simple. just be smart with it.
bitertide needs a silencerino to be any good
Its a giant chicken
I love volcanoing bitter tide hydras
I use this card only with priests, and silence them.
That shaman... wow I'm still trying to understand why the hell you would play a hydra with 5 HP, AGAINST A MAGE. God...
You can always silence it
ultimate counter is volcano
wow so early no skipperinno yet
