Daniel your video on DFS is one of the best on DFS that I have seen. The hands on lab is very practical and useful for Corporate IT teams that manage DFS. Great Job !!!
Excellent and in depth and easy to follow presentation. Perhaps the best video I have seen as far as DFS is concerned. Thanks a lot for spreading the knowledge and explanation.
I hope Daniel makes more content because how he laid this out was great and informational. Most other videos are slideshows or just clicking & screen recording. I find them not as helpful. This was great and I hope you can get re-inspired to share more of your knowledge.
Excellent presentation, very clear and too the point. Superb Demo and just the right length of video. This is a great video for a beginner and answered a lot of questions I had all in the one video.
Thanks a lot Daniel. A very clear and thorough presentation. Even though I know a lot about DFS, but I wanted to watch your video to the end, just because, you managed to show perfect points and simple examples.
Excellent video.. Very well explained and demonstrated. One thing I wish was discussed is the file conflicts. In a multi user environment in which shares are usually used for, file locks I hear is a problem. I am also hearing that a third party software is needed such as WASF from globalscape or peerlock.
Please check if just installing File server role on a DC for sysvol replication is sufficient and there is no need to install DFS namespaces and replication roles. Check the status using DFS Replication Propagation Report.
I have one suggestion before practical if you describe a little on the board it'll be more beneficial; new users can get more from that. Anyway the training was good. Thank you sir!
Hi . I have 2 sites * DFS-A and DFS-B * in 2 diferents places How can I configure to my users in site A only acces to DFS-A, and users in site B only connect to DFS-B, all my users are currently connecting to DFS-A Thank you
Dear Sir, your Video is very helpful- one Video covers all !! Thank you so much for this great job. I have a little problem: I did exactly what you did and so far my Lab looks as yours. From a Client as Domain-User I managed to acess to the Folder 1 & 2 but I could not access to the Folder 3 & 4. Could you please tell me what the possible problem is? I would be thankful to your reply.
Why shouldn’t you use it for profiles and/or folder redirection of users documents etc? It looks to me a good option to make a user profile available on 2 or more fiscal location. For example user A works 2 days on location A and 3 days on location B. When User A logs off on location A DFS replicates to location B. User A starts the next morning on location B and al files are opened from the nearest server the server on location B.
Really good tutorial. Thank you very much. There's still one thing, I still don't understand correctly: Is it necessary to create a new target folder, so that the shares are on both servers. Aren't the shares replicated to the other server? IMHO this should be sufficient.
It too so long to get shared folders right. We finally got it working x-platform on Server 2012 and it was working well. Then the cloud providers appeared and made it all moot for most applications.
This is NOT really an intro/overview of DFS. If you are say, preparing for your 98-365 exam and it says you need to know about DFS and you look up this video you are not going to know what half of the stuff is that he is talking about. don't waste your time if that's what you came here for.

Excellent video. Much better than the other DFS videos that only cover the same basic content.

This is the best video for DFS topic on UA-cam. I wish I had more contents from you.

Very nicely done. i learned a lot from this . Thanks Daniel
Thanks a bunch, this partially helped my group and I with our final exam.
Great Video and Excellent presentation !!!
Does DFS handle/save file deletions for scheduled cleanups and also does it do file versioning?

Very nice!
Your presentation was very didactic.
Thanks.
An excellent tutorial for a rather tricky subject.
Neat presentation , nice one 👌
It helped me understand DFS in 30 minutes. Great video
Very very detailed. Excellent!!!
Really informative and well explained tutorial.
Great video. Please is it possible to configure DFS on a DC for clients to access internally without configuring DFS replication?
I have one suggestion before practical if you describe a little on the board it'll be more beneficial; new users can get more from that. Anyway the training was good. Thank you sir!
I like your videos. its so clear cut. you should make more videos.

Why I cannot add replication group?Permission is denied
Hi Daniel,
Is your second DC a RODC?
Thank you

You don't have to create a target for each if you setup replication.
Excellent video!
Excellent trainer
you have Great presentation/please can you explain it more DFS

Please stop reading your diapoma... don't comment if you read it.. most of the people in here are able to read
Why the hell would you do this on two DC's? Waste of my time thanks.
To test replication.
Great video. Thanks.
