Hey Sam, I have to tell you, I was offered a "ride" on the back seat of a biker gang guy's motorcycle. These were big, ugly bikers TRYING to be nice to me, I felt unsafe about it so I pleasantly declined, I shared this event with a few friends of mine-who are former "ugly" bikers, they told me that if I had accepted the offer, I would've been taken-who knows where and "exterminated" in an unpleasant manner and all the guys would've been laughing at me for being the fool to have fallen for their trap. I've grown up with bikers all my life. I felt so "green" and stupid for not seeing the game/joke that I was about to be victim of. Thanks for putting out the warning to the folks of what to watch out for, people will be glad you took the time to keep them safe. Doug
I left my Low Rider at the shop for a problem I could not figure out. A big-ass bearded guy on a FLH offered me a ride home, told me not to touch him. I didn't, he got me home. I don't remember him being a patchholder, though. BTW, the effin' rod the clutch pushrod pushes against (there is a little piece in between) had split but not broken. So everytime I looked at it trying to figure out why the clutch couldn't be adjusted right, it looked fine. Sometimes, if you don't have the experience, you have to pay for it. And man, was it worth it! The bike no longer pissed me off every time I tried to ride it. '86 Evo motor, stock 5 speed, btw.
Three of my favorites: Don’t call guys you don’t know “Brother “, Don’t force your way into other people’s conversations and Don’t name drop. In the wrong (or right) place doing any one of these can call for an attitude adjustment!
In HS my buddy and I drove all summer on his HD. His dad passed away on that chopper and it was rebuilt for him from the ground up. Took 10 yrs. Fucking blast and memories for a life time. In our mid 40's now. #NoRegrets.
1: Don't go into a bikers bar after having run over a bunch of Harley's with your 18 wheeler. They may not have insurance. 2: Dont leave your MG 42 attached to the sidecar of your WW2 Zundapp, but carry it over your shoulder, into the bikers bar and order a Daquiri. 3: Don't go into a Bikers bar wearing sunglasses. The recoil from your MG 42 might damage them. 4: Dont go into a bikers bar yelling Deutchland Uber Alles... they may not speak German. 5: Don't go into a bikers bar with your German shepherd dog. He might bite a biker and get a disease. 6: Dont go into a bikers bar wearing skinny jeans and designer shoes...if you have forgotten your MG 42. 7: Don't go into a bikers bar with your hot wife/girlfriend. The skanks that hang out with bikers will be so jealous ! 8: Don't go into a bikers bar wearing a Thin Blue Line T shirt. The stony silence will amplify the sound of your spurs. 9: Dont go into a bikers bar dragging the unconcious body of a Prospect asking " Anyone here know why this f@cktard doesn't like Zundapps?" 10: Don't go into a bikers bar. You don't need to prove anything to anyone.
When I was a kid I hitched Hiked Rt 66 a few times. What can set one person off, might not set off another, etc. An example, When I was 17 back then, even at 4 am in the morning, if this fellow drove up to offer a ride, Id politely decline -

When asked though, some of them would disagree on some of the things that are commonly referred to as "big no-no". Case in point, dudes wearing a "Lone Wolf" cut. Those, according to the folks I know, are not really offensive or anything - its just dumb and not worth their time. But they also stated that some guys get really butthurt about things like that, especially when they are prospects looking to make a name for themselves. That being said, much of what you said seems to come down to "just show some respect, keep your mitts off other people's stuff, don't do dumb shit and you'll be just fine".
I'll add, don't go and wear the "Lone Wolf No Club" patch on the back of your vest. Motorcycle club members take a dim view of that. Oh, and did people actually DO the things you describe? Holy Mackerel.

Had to LOL at the point thinking what drama it is losing your masculinity when sitting on a bike with two men or behind a woman. What I learned: When you take a seat behind your buddy or any woman, you have to look depressed at least :D
Don't walk in & say " any 3 of you goofs that can knock me off my feet, gets $500" don't. It sounds like a laff, but there's a downside to this endeavor .

you ever thought a guy might want to get wasted and not worry about cops arresting them and loseing the ride , ,i used to take guys to bars on the back of my bike and have taken them back to there family ,a few ive too had been banned to ride for a time as well just saying ,never been a issue for anyone ive seen and spoke to,the 10 things code with biker bars yep fully agree with

That's true in some places but down here in Texas the Icehouses are open to all and everyone gets along great. I've talked to Sportbike riders in full racing suits, GS riders in touring gear and all flavors of riders on various cruiser bikes and I see groups with mixtures of these. Get out and ride and, sure, avoid sketchy places.
There was nothing wrong with me until the lotus was stolen in 93 Thunderstruck came out about the same time i did the bridge design no one else could do. Was cops forced into a training course & i reinvented the wheel - tweel. None of this is what i wanted.
The only way for 2 hombres to ride on the same bike is to be separated by a 6 pack of beer in the middle of them, thats how my father in law put it! Other than that I couldn't tell ya!
Thanks for the comment. I agree that the common sense rule really is all you need in those places. I've never had a problem. But it's fun to joke around about things that would not be common sense acts.

They have more important shit to worry about than what Joe Blow pulls up on. Just don't park in their pack. (Prospect watching bikes wouldn't allow it anyways). Long as you don't get lippy or step out of line you're invisible.

I go on a Triumph to biker bars where there's a good presence of 1%ers. Never had a problem.
