Loved this video! So beautifully filmed and informative. Lyrebirds are such amazing birds - especially loved that recording where it made human sounds. I had no idea they could do that!
After wading through a sea of cheap AI-voiced shorts all titled "bro sounds like a laser", I was so lucky to have found your video of this beautiful bird. Dr. Maisey sounds like a great guy too. What a wealth of knowledge! Great video mate ☺️
I was looking for a lyrebird video a few months ago to share with some friends in the US, this would have been perfect. This was a beautiful video, interesting, peaceful & captivating all at once. Sharing it anyway.
Absolutely gorgeous video! I loved how so many points were touched on. Great introduction to such a fascinating bird. Would love to see more of your work.
Thanks so much! We actually did an hour long interview with so many more points, but I didn’t have the corresponding footage to match what we spoke about. Might roll out some additional interview clips on socials as I get more relevant footage 🤞🏼
Your content gives me hope that beautiful videos still have a place on social media. I appreciate the effort that went into this video and all your tiktok/instagram ones. 👏🏻 From a fellow forest person. 🌹
*Wow!* - what a powerful documentary. Amazing content, and great commentary from yourself and Dr Alex. "We all live very comfortable lives, and we all have a significant impact on the environment. I guess the first thing we can do is become more aware of that impact and think about ways we can tread more lightly on the planet." Amazing stuff, congrats @jeremyfilmsthings - The team at Binna Burra Lodge, Lamington National Park, QLD.
The deer in the Dandenong Ranges are posing an enormous threat . Not only are they destroying the natural vegetation for wildlife, but they are introducing ticks....and Lupus disease.
Great stuff. I have heard, only three times or so, one or two of the local males making a sound I could never quite relate to anything. After thinking about it I thought it may be an attempt to mimic the talk of people on the walking tracks heard from a distance. Can't prove it and I only have a couple of examples recorded, but it is certainly intriguing. I have a personal project of tracking and video recording the local lyrebirds, a number of which are tame enough to follow and film. Some of them may be found on my channel LYREBIRD DIARIES.
Good work mate ,but point fingers at the deer is a lie is plenty research saying the deer doesn’t impact the Australia wildlife ,better don’t say anything if you don’t know, look deeper into it if you want to find out
bro- this is stunning! how does it only have 250 views? amazing work man, I’m watching it again
