As a malayali viewer of your channel for over 2 years, I'm so disappointed that you didn't mention Shobana Mam who received national award for her role as Nagavali in Manichithrathazhu. I mean no malayali can ever forget that "vidamatte" scene and the final dance sequences. I don't know how many times I rewatched Manichitrathazhu just for HER.
No he didn't mention her name. Although he mentioned Mohanlal's name. And definitely mentioned Vidya and Jyothika's name. But not the OG Shobana's name. That’s disgusting. Despite having a big name like Mohanlal in the movie, Manichitrathazhu is remembered only & only by Shobana. She was the hero of the film actually.

In the Malayalam version.....not many have noticed but when mohanlal sings the song “ pazhamthami pattu” , there is a line mentioning nagavalli......and he just for a split sec looks at shobhana( who has been possessed by nagavalli) ..... it's a great overshadowing by the director....🔥🔥❤️
@@adityarpillai8483 I think it would be a great plot if it was revealed that the ghost of either chandramukhi, nagavali Or monjulika was real and it did possessed the main actress and in the end of the movie after the ghost kills the king it leave the host body. Also what was the roll of that big anaconda in malayalam version and tamil version?
This original malayalam version is ahead of time Won national awards Technicaly good sound movie in 1993 And director is fazil ..father of fahad fazil And mohanlal...oh man..no comparison with anyone in acting!!! Topic over
Malayalam movie is just super spooky and sound effects/background scores really give the chills. Talk about an amazing writer in Madhu Mattam and a visionary director in Abdul Muhammad Fazil. All the actors gave their 100%. Such a classic and the magic has never been fully captured into other languages.
The hidden story in Manichitrathazhu, , revolves around Ganga’s suppressed desires, infatuation with Mahadevan, and her internal psychological struggle, masked by the outward manifestation of Nagavalli. Ganga's Sexual Frustration and Infatuation: Ganga feels neglected by Nakulan, who is often too absorbed in his work. Her unmet emotional and sexual needs drive her to become infatuated with Mahadevan, a writer, whose novel she is seen reading. This infatuation starts even before she hears the story of Nagavalli. Ganga writing "Alli owns Mahadevan" in front of Mahadevan’s name in his book is a significant detail ( first song). It suggests that Ganga is trying to consciously convince herself that Mahadevan belongs to Alli, not her. This act of writing serves as an attempt to suppress her own feelings of attraction toward Mahadevan, forcing herself to accept the reality that he is committed to someone else Nagavalli as a Mask: The persona of Nagavalli isn’t merely a dissociative identity but is a co-conscious expression of Ganga's inner desires. Nagavalli becomes a psychological mask that allows Ganga to express her feelings for Mahadevan and act out without directly confronting her guilt. Dr. Sunny’s Role: Dr. Sunny is aware of Ganga’s co-conscious state, recognizing that she knows about Nagavalli but uses it as an outlet. However, he deliberately hides this from Nakulan to preserve their marriage, staging the final confrontation as a way to excuse Ganga’s behavior under the guise of possession. Subtle Infatuation Story: The director doesn’t explicitly show Ganga’s attraction to Mahadevan due to societal norms, but through subtle cues-like her excitement over Mahadevan's proximity and her request for a south-facing room-it’s clear that Ganga’s desires were hidden but powerful, leading to the creation of the Nagavalli identity
The fact is that even in 1993 itself, Manichithrathazhu was a complete psychological thriller. The horror part was completely justified later. Unlike the unnecessary things like snake etc.
Priyadarshan was not Fazil assistant. He was of the many Second Unit Directors (Associate Director) on Manichithrathaazhu. Others included Sibi Malayil, Siddique-Lal. Note that all these directors were independent and established film-makers at the time Manichithrathaazhu was made. They all pitched into do some scenes were releted to their auteur styles.
The key feature that makes a major difference from other remakes and the orginal is that the orginal movie was not supposed to be a ghost story , its a psycological horror + subtle hints of a ghost but all other remakes puts too much focus on the Ghost element
@@nithin4289 Manjulika is showm more in the perspective of a ghost but by the end they rectify it but the sequels made it clear that they made it to a ghost
@muhammedirfans4412 In BB1, while all assume it to be spirit, the psychiatrist unravels the mystery and identifies it as DID/MPD... Thats the same in Malayalam version...Hindi version follows the Malayalam.. Priyadarshan worked in the original version and has followed the original like as it is.. BB2 and BB3 are by Different director and has no relation view Point of first part
And remember all other actresses hv a reference of shobhna, but only shobhna who actually designed this whole character with her own creativity. She is awesome truly
Exactly!! And also despite having a big name like Mohanlal in the movie, Manichitrathazhu is remembered only & only because of Shobhana. She was the actual hero of the film.
Being a Kannadiga Aapthamitra was something new at that time, but after seeing the OG Malayalam version I'm in awe of Manichitrathazhu Edit: thanks for the 1k likes 🥺
The fact is amongst all the version of this film the Orginal appears to be the most modernised one but is the oldest is what makes the 1993 version a masterpiece🔥 they could have easily overdone it with Cringe and cliched with the sensibilities of that time but be it technical prowess or storytelling it still stands the test of time❤
Although I saw the hindi bhool bhoolaiya first and will always be my favourite but original Malayalam version is just too good an absolute masterpiece. I saw the orginal movie a year ago and honestly saying bhool bhoolaiya will be my favourite but Malayalam version will live rent free in my mind forever. I don't believe that it was from the year 1993. Such a great movie and such creative filmmaking. I just love it.
Original is always above all. Shobhana is such a gem.💎🙌🏼 Mohanalal and Suresh Gopi also nailed their roles. But even after them being in their prime stardom era, Shobhana overshadowed them and bagged national award that year. The mesmerizing and thrilling yet eerie environment of the movie makes it an evergreen classic. Another plus is that they didn't overflood the movie with humor or any mass bs. The movie stayed loyal to its core which is psychology. And among remakes, Hindi version Bhul Bhulaiyya was better than others. And Tamil was the worst.
Manichithrathazhu is the original version of all.. the Malayalam film directed by Fazil in 1993 and beautifully performed by legends like Shobhana, Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Thilakkan, innocent, Nedumudi Venu, KPSC Lalitha..❤ It's the evergreen Classic Hit ❤
Some intresting facts : Soundarya The actress who played nahavalli in kannada version 2004 was supposed to play the same role as chandramukhi in tamil version 2005. But she died in plane crash. Aptamitra is her last movie. You guyz will remember her as heera thakurs wife from sooryavanshi. When i was child , this movie scared the shit out of all me and my classmate and there was consipracy that soundarya was killed by nagavallis ghost. This is very popular conspiracy till date and some people believe in nagavallis ghost. This conspiracies made this movie even more scary.
And the actor died before the sequel of this movie released. The first part is still the best, Some people who are always faithful to original debate that malyalam version is good without seeing the kannada version.... But kannada version is the best, the actress is so good that, we can't really tell if she is acting or really processed. And kannada version base story could be similar to Malayalam, but it is nothing like that.... It has its own style and vibe wch we cannot find in any other version... And that's the reason Rajni kanth version is similar to kannada and not malyalam, but they failed to make it as good as this.... If you don't agree go fish yourself....
Soundharya mam's last movie Telugu Siva Sankar( this movie climax didn't completed because of mam's sudden dismiss) movie crue added her plain crash visuals in the climax scene.
I'am a malayali and saw Manichitratgazhu in my own language in my teenage years and later seen it's all other versions except Bengali. According to me if you don't compare eachother all versions with different actors are enjoyable for their own good. Sobhana version and Vidya Balan are almost similar. But I thoroughly enjoyed Rajanikanth version with Jyotika's slightly exaggerated version in the climax. Rara is most melodious and soothing song followed by Abhijo toma. Chitra's Tamil rendition is mind-blowing so as Shreya. The over-the-top climax in all the versions were equally filmy.. Rather than psychological decease ankle possessiing by the Naga Valli/ Chandromukhi/Manjulika would have been more relatable. I think malayalis will not accept ghost stories blindly that's why psychological excuses incorporated in it. Sobhana, Vidhya, Jyotika and Soundarya all are excellent in their respective roles. But for me Rajanikanth is the best amongst the phychatric doctors roles.
I believe Manichitrathaazhu (Original one / without useless drama / GOAT) is similar to Nolan's film. When you watch again and again you'll understand more. also when you recollect to complete the puzzle, it will get scarier. even there are satisfying theories based on this.
Shobana won her first National award for this role and hence it's iconic. Throughout in Jyothika version, some light was given to eyes, which looks so weird for every Malayali. For Sobhana it was not needed. She acted so natural and she acted through her eyes. She never overdid it anywhere, especially the climax song, which looks real and natural, and fitting into the theme. I think you are aware, Kannada version was released after the death of the lead actress in a helicopter crash. Soundarya was a top south Indian actress that time, and she was posthumously awarded Filmfare award Vidya Balan gave full justice to the original role I believe. It's the dream of every Malayali actress to play this role. In fact she is a Malayali by birth. In Tamil, to please Rajani fans the script itself was changed, which went out of place many times. But it was a blockbuster
Ngl Shobhana slayyed so hard in Manichithrathazu and Im shocked you didnt mention her! She's the epitome of acting and beauty. She eats 10 bhool bhulaiyas for breakfast
Fact is Soundarya died before the release of apthamitra(2004)and Vishnuvardhan sir died(2009) after completing shooting for its sequel which later released as Aptharakshaka(2010) Both actors associated with this project and that was their last film respectively......Both of them gave there career best performance🔥💥
Sry surpassing the original Malayalam version is nearly impossible Story, acting and especially the soundtrack this is where Malayalam cinema 📽️💎 peaked
Why is everyone crying 😂 Malayalam one is the best and most of the remakes had a Malayalam touch and you should also respect the story writer as he brought it out of the box and others just copied 😂 The movie is always MOHANLAL's and FASIL's the claim others make is just illusion 😂 For reference i have watched every single versions in their own languages 😭
right?I was in 3rd or 4th standard when it released and it ran for a year....I had bought its audio casette for Kana kanade Sharade song...i cant believe it was 20 years ago
CHANDRAMUKHI for me. Was just 5 that time. I know it's a psychological thriller movie. But still get chills while watching it. Especially Jyotika's part. When she says Nan da Chandramukhi. PTSD kinda thing.
1:25 , small correction , Priyadarshan wasnt the assistant director of Manichithrathazhu, instead he was the associate director. There is an interesting story to this. The shooting of Manichithrathazhu began in November and they had the release the movie by december end if they wanted to submit it for that years National Awards (which shobhana ended up winning) . So they had to finish all the works , shooting and post production within 1.5 months. Fazil called few of his trustworthy directors who were blockbuster making directors by then already like Priyadarshan, Sibi Malayil, Siddique and lal and handed them the script of the movie and told them to entirely direct certain portions of the movie because they had a time crunch All 3 directors (siddique and lal are director duos) shot paralelly for one week independently effectively shooting 21 days worth footage within one week. therefore Priyadarshan and the other directors were called the Associate directors of the movie.
The Malayala Version of Manichitrathazhu was re-released 30 years later last August 2024 in 4K remastered versions across theaters in Kerala and GCC. The Soundtrack and Theatre experience was an absolute immersive experience
After all manichithratazhu legacy is untouchable. I'm sure at the making of this movie, fasil sir didn't try to make money of this movie, he really tried to make a movie thats gonna live long in every malayalis heart, forever 💎

1. Manichitrathazhu (1993) - Malayalam Directed by Fazil [Father of Fahad Fazil] starring Mohanlal, Shobana, and Suresh Gopi. This is the original and highly acclaimed psychological horror film. 2. Apthamitra (2004) - Kannada Directed by P. Vasu, starring Vishnuvardhan, Soundarya, and Ramesh Aravind. It was the first remake of Manichitrathazhu and was very successful. 3. Nagavalli (2010) - Telugu Directed by P. Vasu, starring Venkatesh, Anushka Shetty, and Richa Gangopadhyay. This is a Telugu adaptation of Manichitrathazhu, also serving as a sequel to the Kannada film Apthamitra. 7. Aptharakshaka (2010) - Kannada Directed by P. Vasu, starring Vishnuvardhan in his last film role. This is a sequel to Apthamitra rather than a direct remake of Manichitrathazhu. 8. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022) - Hindi Directed by Anees Bazmee, starring Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu. This movie is a standalone sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa, inspired by Manichitrathazhu but with a new storyline. 9. The film stars Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri, It serves as the third installment of the franchise, following Bhool Bhulaiyaa 1 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2
Priyadarshan also made a movie Gethaanjali, remake of a Thai movie and sequal to Manichitrathazhu. The same plot was used by Aneez Bazmi in his Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2
Yes definitely manichitrataazhu is too brilliant, when I watched it when it was released in Kerala I was just awestruck as before that I never experienced anything like that before it... I would choose shobhana any day as nagavalli as i believe no other actresses ever match her
Except for Malamaal Weekly(It was only inspired from a Hollywood movie, where all his other movies are remakes of Mollywood classics). But that movie has been remaked by him into Mollywood and it flopped😅
FUN FACT: IN kannada the original Director has also made a True Sequel of the movie called 'ApthaRakshaka' where Nagavalli actually returns. Another Fun (or scary) fact Soon after the Aptha Mithra, the actress who played Nagavalli died in Airplane crash. Soon after Aptha Rakshaka, even before the release, the actor who played the King also died. After a year, Rajnikant was offered to repeat his role of King in Tamil as a sequel, but he refused fearing something bad will happen to him. Google for more info.
Bhai kannada version has a sequel as well called aptarakashaka and it is a direct sequel to the first one it explores the time when nagavalli was alive and her story
In kannada , vishnuvardhan looks like the king because , apthamitra has a sequel named as aptharakshaka and in that the complete story of nagavalli is explained and they explained why vishnuvardhan looks like king , please watch that you will get all information in that movie , and they resembled nagavalli as snake because in kannada naga means snake .
Manichitrathazhu is a story of a neglected woman Ganga. First neglected by her parents, then by her husband. In her insecurities and loneliness, she started weaving stories from threads got from elders. That stories became her life. Her parents and her husband were similar, focused only on their career. She was insignificant in their eyes. One of the most subtly pointed issue is the sexual dissatisfaction and lack emotional companionship experienced by the woman. She was fascinated by the 'writer/professor' from the very beginning of the movie and it was thus he became the love interest of her alter-ego Nagavalli. Even though Dr Sunny attributes her disorder to the empathy towards Nagavalli and previous case of psychological disorder, the root cause of that empathy was her failure in love. 2 songs are used to literally describe this. The lyrics in the song describes her feeling very caged in the house during day and romantically lonely in night. She felt cheated out by her husband. It is this song she sings every day in the "forbidden chamber". There are several Easter-eggs in the movie in this concept.
Aura aura🗣️Shri Shri nag Shankar 🛐 saw on Zee cinema but dude there is twist that in that movie it is shown nag Shankar was brother of raja vatta and he is one actually killed chandramukhi!
The OG Malayalam version has loads of layers to it which people still talk about, the extra song, shobanas foreshadowing. It’s a cult classic in Malayalam. Every Malayali would’ve watched it multiple times and still cant get over it.
Mohit bhi, we know that you make exceptional videos on main channel(ComicVerse) & here you also did the same. I mean, I never expect anyone to do that much research for any Indian movie to watch all of it's remakes, giving review on them & trying to explain the vision of director & writer etc. You did good work & I really liked it. Keep it up man. Love You.
It’s all about the quality of audience, if you became the highly intelligent audience mindset then you can see the magic of the original manichithrathazhu👍
The timeless appeal of Manichitrathazhu (1993) and Yodha (1992) has cemented them as all-time favorite movies among Malayalees born in the 1980s and 1990s. Manichitrathazhu, in particular, holds a special place in Indian cinema, largely due to Shobana’s extraordinary performance as Ganga/Nagavalli. Her portrayal earned her both a National Award and a Kerala State Award, making her the only actress from any of the remakes to receive such prestigious recognition for this role. The 11-year gap between the original Manichitrathazhu and its first remake, Apthamithra(2004), can be attributed to Shobana’s lasting impact. Her performance left such a profound, cult status among audiences that there was no immediate pressure to remake the film. Later actresses in remakes, like *Apthamitra* (Kannada, 2004), *Chandramukhi* (Tamil, 2005), *Rajmohol* (Bengali, 2005), *Bhool Bhulaiyaa* (Hindi, 2007), and *Nagavalli* (Telugu, 2010), all created unique interpretations rather than attempting to replicate Shobana’s iconic role. However, none could match the legacy of Ganga/Nagavalli as Shobana originally portrayed it. Today, all regional film industries-whether Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, or Kannada-are producing outstanding work.Mallu Audiences now appreciate and enjoy movies from all languages, setting aside language barriers. As viewers, we embrace a liberal perspective, valuing stories and performances for their artistry rather than the language they are told in. If everyone thought this way, the truth of Shobana's universal performance would be clear to all, sad that you never mentioned her.
@@Schrodingercat749 It may not be as realistic or psychological as the original Malayalam and Hindi remake but definitely is a cult classic. The movie has completely different vibes from the original. The original was a psychological thriller while Tamil was pure paranormal horror with a pinch of over the top action and comedy sequences . It doesn't even feel like a remake even though the story is 90% same

Along with Fazil there were few other directors (who worked as 2nd unit directors) like Sibi Malayil, Siddilque-Lal & Priyadarshan so that the movie would be completed in time... the Producer-Distributor Appachan was a very influential personality of those days Another fact is most of the comedy movies Priyadarshan remade into hindi are of Siddique-Lal's original Malayalam movies and the serious ones like Gardish was of Sibi Malayil, Virasat of anothet great director Bharathan...
Chandramukhi's hindi dubbed version was released in 2008 and it had all songs and was dubbed nicely. The one you're referring is re dubbed version uploaded by Goldmines and they have destroyed it. Watch original hindi dubbed version, it's good.
Bhool bhulaya 2 ke makers ke paas ek opportunity tha, Bhool bhulaya 1 Hindi mein sab bhoot bhoot bol ke darr rahe the aur uss gaaon mein sab man rahe the haweli bhutiya he. But last mein pata chala ki wo bhoot nai Vidya valan thi. Lekin Vidya valan pehle se hi waha nahi tha naa, wo toh shaadi karne ke baad hi ayi uss haweli mein aur gaaon mein. Toh iske ane se pehle in logo ne kisko dekha tha jo haweli bhootiya he sapit he Maan baithe the. So my theory is if there's already an evil spirit exists from old time, then bhool bhulaya 2 would follow that story line and akshya Kumar's has a character development and would be serious in this time. May be if makers will try it will be more darker.
There is another movie which is also written and directed by p. Vasu which is Nagavalli in hindi is mera badla revenge. And the fun fact is while watching the movie it is close to bhool bhulaiya 80% rest 20 is p. Vasu takes like that old king is still alive and that fight with Venkatesh's body double. The 1993 version is very very carefully made. There are a lot of minute details which people normally don't realise. It is intrinsic af. Even the ragas used in the songs have some meaning to it. Every time I watch it, I discover something new. It is literally a puzzle with atleast 10 possible interpretations.
Tbh, Shobhana ma'm literally dominated The Mohanlal in the movie. Her acting was iconic !
This act of writing serves as an attempt to suppress her own feelings of attraction toward Mahadevan, forcing herself to accept the reality that he is committed to someone else
Nagavalli as a Mask: The persona of Nagavalli isn’t merely a dissociative identity but is a co-conscious expression of Ganga's inner desires.
However, he deliberately hides this from Nakulan to preserve their marriage, staging the final confrontation as a way to excuse
Ganga’s behavior under the guise of possession.
There is no snake in manichithrathazhu..
Manichithratazhu was more like The Shining imo. It's originally a psychological thriller but soon it dissolved into a horror in the audience minds.

The malayalam version movie was released in 1993....during Christmas release.
Jab mene wo dekha 1hafte tak so nhi paya 😂
I was a superhit movie in Malayalam.
And without graphics and other gimmicks

Some intresting facts :
Soundarya The actress who played nahavalli in kannada version 2004 was supposed to play the same role as chandramukhi in tamil version 2005.
Need to pin this comment
I didn't know about it. Thanks.

True that explains why "hidden details in manichithrathazhu" videos are still surfacing in UA-cam

Debate's over folks 😁
Shobana won her first National award for this role and hence it's iconic. Throughout in Jyothika version, some light was given to eyes, which looks so weird for every Malayali. For Sobhana it was not needed. She acted so natural and she acted through her eyes. She never overdid it anywhere, especially the climax song, which looks real and natural, and fitting into the theme. I think you are aware, Kannada version was released after the death of the lead actress in a helicopter crash. Soundarya was a top south Indian actress that time, and she was posthumously awarded Filmfare award
Vidya Balan gave full justice to the original role I believe. It's the dream of every Malayali actress to play this role. In fact she is a Malayali by birth. In Tamil, to please Rajani fans the script itself was changed, which went out of place many times. But it was a blockbuster

Fazil called few of his trustworthy directors who were blockbuster making directors by then already like Priyadarshan, Sibi Malayil, Siddique and lal and handed them the script of the movie and told them to entirely direct certain portions of the movie because they had a time crunch
All 3 directors (siddique and lal are director duos) shot paralelly for one week independently effectively shooting 21 days worth footage within one week.
therefore Priyadarshan and the other directors were called the Associate directors of the movie.
The Malayala Version of Manichitrathazhu was re-released 30 years later last August 2024 in 4K remastered versions across theaters in Kerala and GCC. The Soundtrack and Theatre experience was an absolute immersive experience

The OG Malayalam version has loads of layers to it which people still talk about, the extra song, shobanas foreshadowing. It’s a cult classic in Malayalam. Every Malayali would’ve watched it multiple times and still cant get over it.

Along with Fazil there were few other directors (who worked as 2nd unit directors) like Sibi Malayil, Siddilque-Lal & Priyadarshan so that the movie would be completed in time... the Producer-Distributor Appachan was a very influential personality of those days
Another fact is most of the comedy movies Priyadarshan remade into hindi are of Siddique-Lal's original Malayalam movies and the serious ones like Gardish was of Sibi Malayil, Virasat of anothet great director Bharathan...
Chandramukhi's hindi dubbed version was released in 2008 and it had all songs and was dubbed nicely. The one you're referring is re dubbed version uploaded by Goldmines and they have destroyed it. Watch original hindi dubbed version, it's good.
Bhool bhulaya 2 ke makers ke paas ek opportunity tha,
Bhool bhulaya 1 Hindi mein sab bhoot bhoot bol ke darr rahe the aur uss gaaon mein sab man rahe the haweli bhutiya he.
If Priyadarshini sir makes a remake of that film in bhool bhulaiya style then it would be a perfect sequel. Hope @FlickVerse you watch that movie and make a video on it.
I thought I was the only one to mention that. I guess Mohit hasn't watched that one and if you remember there's another Malyalam one too called Return of Chandramukhi dubbed in Hindi. But that Nagvalli movie is altogether an emotion for 2000s kids
@@Shrutika90 yesss brother at that time there was no prime or Netflix it was all Zee cinema, sony max , star gold, Movies Ok, Utv action and etc that's where we got the stuff. That era was 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@ninadvyas9343 I second that mate, that era is unparalleled 🔥
shobhana did a bery good job because she did the Chandramukhi part with her own voice
All other languages made a spoof out of manichithratazhu, fazil should have never sold the rights
Bhool bulayya is a classic. Gotta love it. The songs and all
I really wanted a video on this Topic. The whole summary of all langs. Thank you so much Mohit Bhai. Happy Diwali in advance ❤🎉
Director Fazil is father of Fahad Fazil
Oh acha 😮
Old bhool bhulaiyaa,s multiverse 💀☠️

It's because you didn't watched original. Vidya's acting is no match for shobhana 's acting in the film.
11:47 Mohit suggest to watch all movies in orginal language, abhi ja ka sabhi language ki tuition rakhta hu 😂😂😂 (right now I only know three languages Hindi, Punjabi and English)
I know 4

Malayalam version is easily one of the top 5 movies ever made in that language
There is a film called Geethaanjali in which Mohanlal. Played the same of role of Dr. Joseph from Manichitrazhu and the fact is that first bhulbhulaiya is remakr of Manichitrazhu and bhulbhulaiya 2 is somewhere have same theme of 2 sister story which is the movie Geetanjali
Not 5remakes of bhool bhulaiya 5remakes of malayalam movie manichithrathazhu directed by fazil (father of Fahad fazil)
Original version only explain the dual personality with a fantasy story but remakes made horror only bhool bhulaiya 1justice for malayalam movie another reason that direction priyadarshan worked in manichithrathazhu

Even dailougue
And if priyadashan direct then he brings mohanlal of course .not Vishnu vardhan
Because priyadashan is mohanlal best friend
Salute to mohit bhai who watched all movies and still alive😂
For me, manichithratazhu was the best. And this movie is a diamond in malayalam movie industry history
The 1993 version is very very carefully made. There are a lot of minute details which people normally don't realise. It is intrinsic af. Even the ragas used in the songs have some meaning to it. Every time I watch it, I discover something new. It is literally a puzzle with atleast 10 possible interpretations. True Bhool Bhulaiya is a scene by scene copy, but there are things which go missing like some expressions of the actors which also got meanings and reasons attached to them. The movie had many of the top directors involved including priyadarshan himself who by the way was not the main director. It's fun to mix the story with different possible theories.
