When I ink blend on a die cut piece I always put it over another piece of cardstock so I get not one, but two card fronts! It is basically acting like a stencil so you get the negative space colored on the second piece. It makes it a "twofer" - you'll end up with two cards instead of just one, using the one die cut piece. Win-win. Both of your cards turned out drop-dead gorgeous! Gotta love Gina K.'s new die! I didn't get the kit this month because I have so many similar stamps, but I'll definitely get that die when it's sold separately.
I think I'd ink blend before cutting, reducing the risk of bending or tear any detailed pieces. (I'd probably put Stick It on the back before die cutting, too.) Of course, your way produced great results.
I've done that before too but for this one because I die cut first, I was able to really focus in on the center of the card and plan out where my colors will be. I also had die cut it from heavystock cardstock and blended with a light hand so the chance of bending the cardstock were minimal. Both ways work great! Thanks so much!
Beautiful! I was looking for the link you mentioned, on a video with a trick for lining up diecuts correctly with the stamp. I always seem to have a trouble with this. Do you know what the video is called?
I love these types of cards. As you say, "Easy but stunning."

I would never have thought to use brown over red and navy over teal. They look great. Nice touch.
Thanks so much! They are beautiful combinations!

You're very welcome!
Mindy, I can't wait to for my kit to arrive so that I can continue to practice my ink blending techniques. Thank you for sharing and God Bless. Hugs.
Have fun! Hugs!

Love the cards & the great ideas! What are the measurements of the cover plate die that you used?
Thank you! The size of the cover plate is 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" .

Thank you! I also had linked it at the end of the video. It's the video with Gift Card Envelopes.
I put wax paper with my card stock and the pieces fall out very easy.
