Fred Dryer and Stephanie Kramer were great on Hunter. Dryer had a guest appearance on Cheers as Dave Richards. Later he had another series called Lands End as Mike Land.
Sergeant Hunter not Chief, Carlos worked in the morgue, Brad was a FBI agent not an attorney , Morehead was a crooked cheif that was arrested by IA:the person that makes these should watch the show and learn the characters.
First let me say I hate AI narration 😝. Second, plenty of screws up with regards to the characters roles. Get your facts straight first before you post. I never watched this show when it originally aired. I bought it on dvd many years later and that's only due to the fact that I discovered Dee Dee McCall drove a 1984 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z and I have one, so it inspired me to check out the show. I only bought the first 2 seasons but overall I liked it. I certainly wouldn't consider it groundbreaking though. It was pretty much in line with the cop shows of that era but still an enjoyable watch.

It sucked in the last few seasons Hunter went back to being a regular uniform cop…that’s when the show IMO lost its charm

I liked the show but it was not a ground breaking ANYTHING. It was a fairly typical cop show. Well done to my mind but nothing out of the ordinary
Gary Crosby also played Officer Ed Wells on Adam-12, His character was not seen in every episode.
