- Hi everyone! So this is my 17 week pregnancy update. I can't believe we are creeping ever more quickly to the halfway point. In this video I talk about how I feel about having a boy, share a mini baby boy haul, and talk about my general symptoms and how baby is doing at 17 weeks gestation. WHO AM I?
I'm Charlotte.
I'm 28, love carbs, rubbish 90's music, Prosecco and baths without finding a bath toy stuck under my bum.
I have a little boy called Bill (born June 2012) and a little girl called Daisy (born April 2016).
I am, very recently, a full-time vlogger and blogger (the stuff dreams are made of), but I am also a trained journalist, former magazine editor, and content lead.
I'm also part of Channel Mum - which is really worth checking out if you're a mama like me and want to find videos to make you laugh, cry, nod, or get advice. / channelmum
I was a single mum, just me and Bill. But then I had a bit of a fairytale moment when I met Mark (he's a bit lovely) and things are better than I could have hoped for now. Daisy was born with Stickler Syndrome, and a cleft palate like me. Her start has been rocky but she'll be fine. She's got a family who adore her after all.
I know that all mums are different in their own way, but I hope you enjoy seeing snippets of my life, all the same.

I was following your videos every week up till 17 weeks as I've recently had a miscarriage. Can't stop crying watching this video, we were booked for a gender scan this week too.
Oh Millie. I am so, so sorry. I know that nothing that I can say will make it better. But I am so sorry that your baby has gone to be with the stars. Life is so cruel and so unfair. And I just wish I could give you a huge hug. Please be kind to yourself. And let your loved ones surround you will the love and support you need over Christmas. I’m thinking of you. xxx
Congrats on the new little boy! I’m also 17 weeks pregnant. :) We won’t find out the gender until the end of October. I love seeing other moms talk about their pregnancies.

I was exactly the same as you when I found out I'm having a boy! I was so sure he was but the confirmation made me squeal with excitement. I was walking on air for weeks just like you! Congratulations! I am 26 weeks now.

I'm at 17 weeks Jan.3rd, I really want to go for a gender scan and see how they are doing because I haven't had an ultrasound since the 7 week point. I don't get to meet my obstetrician until Jan.10th and I'll be at 18 weeks by then, I really hope they will send me for a scan right away instead of having to wait until the 20 week scan. Fingers crossed 🤞.

I'm going to be a first time Grammy! Our 30 year old daughter is expecting her first. Due 3/16/2021 with a little boy. She has not felt any movement from him yet, but has an anterior placenta. Her Doctor said with anterior placenta, you don't usually feel movement until a little later.
His heart rate has almost always been 158, every visit. We cannot wait to see his sweet little face! 🥰
I am glad to have found this channel, very helpful. Helps me relate more to what she is going through.
I have a posterior placenta so prime baby feeling position, am 17 weeks and only just felt movement yesterday! Her time will come soon!
Also really interested to know what symptoms you had to make you think it was a boy compared to how you felt with Daisy? x

I'd personally love to see hauls and reviews if larger items such as prams and car seats. I'm expecting my first and feel overwhelmed at the selection and prices! No idea where to start xx

What do you think Bills reaction would've been if you were having a girl? I have a 3yo girl and a 1yo boy and am hoping to get pregnant next year. My little girl keeps saying she wants a sister because she already has a brother and I'm just wondering whether to play the whole gender reveal thing down so she's not disappointed- she's still young so I think she'd get over it quickly! I guess!

Vomiting, sleepless nights & lower abdomen pain... Irritating me so much!!!! I can feel baby's heartbeat by touching on my lower abdomen... But nothing else... Gender disclosure is banned in my country. Thats why i don't know its a princess or prince!!!

If you do the NIPT test which is genetic screening (blood test) you can find out gender from 10 weeks. Crazy! I think it's been 20 weeks to find out gender in the past cos you typically don't get an ultrasound between your 12/13wk and 20wk ultrasound.
My wife also 17 weeks.. we didn't want to know the gender.. excitement will be there on arrival.. if knw now.. no interest will be there

No it's not the danger zone is before 12 weeks. She's had healthy pregnancys before too, that reduces the risk. But you go ahead and make all us excited pregnant women feel anxious and guilty for being excited and prepared. Smh take your negativity somewhere else
