This man has truly been touched by God, so many years of being loved by, I can assure you, by almost the entire population of this planet for perhaps three generations....and counting. No politician, athlete, millionaire, financial genius of the last sixty years has the charisma and sympathy like him, despite his difficult times he has known how to reinvent himself to be current and please everyone. Definitely, an exceptional human being
THIS is Sir Paul having fun and the BEST recorded Sound. When the Pipes and Drums join in it is perfect !!! This is about SIR Paul's Scotland Retirement Estate on the Ocean!
It was published in 1977, however did not go beyond rank 33 in the US charts, whereas being a number-one-hit in many other countries - first single sold more than 2 mill. times in the UK.
mull of Kintyre - - Only after Amazing Grace, does this tune curdle my blood, and stir my soul!! So proud that he chose A Canadian band to play the pipe chorus!!!!
@@timothyshawnjohnston278 Canadian, of Scandinavian, and British decent. Played amazing grace so many on the pipes, when played well bring a tear to even the performer!! This song I know will grow on me!!!
In 2016 Gerry and I were driving down from the BC interior when Gerry said we had a reservation in a hotel in Vancouver. That night, after dinner, she casually said, "Let's go to a concert." This is the concert she took me to. Paul McCartney told stories and sang for 3 hours and it was the most incredible concert I have ever been to. I learned so many things about the Beatles I had never known before. Like the song Blackbird. Did you know it is a song about the plight of Black people in the US? All of a sudden, it made sense. He is a great storyteller. I love you, Gerry. The concert was my birthday in 2016.
What is it about this song thats gotten deep down into me? I just love it and can't stop looking up different performances of it, ever since I discovered it a month ago!!
I saw The Beatles twice. The first time at Boston Garden. The second time was at Suffolk Down Race Track. I was one of the teenage girl's screaming. My best friend actually thought she was going to marry Paul.
He is truly a special person. Talented, kind, loyal, faithful, fabulous husband and parent. . I feel so privileged to have seen him with The Beatles on their 1st USA 🇺🇸 tour in Boston at the old Boston Gardens in 1964.
I'm Asian, from the Far East 🇵🇭 But after hearing this song for the first time, just wonder why i can't get over it - was it Paul or the Bag Pipes? It's both! 💞🎼🎶
One of the most beautiful songs on earth but I can clearly see the Scots scaring away their enemies with the bagpipes. They can really make a lot of noise. 😄
Queria ouvir Paul cantando essa musica junto a Banda Marcial dos Fuzileiros Navais do Rio De Janeiro. Seria maravilhoso. Ficou excelente com a Banda Canadense Delta.
Is the video flipped? The reason I'm asking is because it seems the bass drummer starts with his left hand when your supposed to start with the right hand. I know because that's my role in my band.
This is so moving. What a thrill for the citizens of Delta. I cry everytime I watch this.
The sound of the pipes creeps up my back bone, and stirs my soul! Then add Paul McCartney, Wow!
This is surely one of Paul's best melodies! Brings me to tears everytime i hear it! Yet American Radio ignored it in the 70s..
Have listened to so many versions of Paul singing this tonight on UA-cam I had forgotten how flipping marvellous it is I can’t get enough .
I knew the pipe and drum band was coming, cried like a baby anyway when they started to play.
Me too
I was there! what a night! pipes always make me sob - so proud of our Delta company - my favourite Wings song - the good old days when we could go out
Sadly I wasn’t there but Yes I almost cried when the Delta pipers came onto the stage! What a night Vancouver!
Has that effect on me too...the pipes.
❤️
He was 74 when this was recorded, still has a beautiful voice. Will be a sad day on earth when he passes away.
Billy is actually 5 years older!. He’s turned 84 now. And - his voice is shot!
@@lucytupper69 it always seem the real good singers' voices get better with age?, strange.....

Of all the great tunes by Paul McCartney, this his legacy an imortal song!
This sends shivers down my spine, and I'm English!

That was pure genius adding the bag pipes in this . song ... When this song came out in the 1977 it stayed at Number 1 in the UK for 9 weeks.
How could I have lived without ever hearing this amazing song until now?!? Why did American radio in the seventies not play this song?

He also plays this with the pipes whenever he's in Toronto. Lots of good Canadian pipe bands and a strong Scottish heritage in Canada.
Far better than Amazing Grace.

We’d go fight and win battles to this. ❤️ lad from kintyre.

It's Sir Paul McCartney. There's really no other explanation, yes? I envy those lucky audience members.
as far as I'm concerned it's the Scottish bagpipes that touch my soul
@@MeredithAnne88 It was pretty awesome.
Such an awesome arrangement with the bag pipes.Paul sure knows how to entertain all his fans! 👏
How adorable is Macca?? Love that man ❤️👐❤️

I would have liked to have seen this man.live.
He is so natural.
Awesone
I have and will never forget it
I love Paul McCartney! But the real reason I'm here is for the bagpipes
as most of us
Great song AND performance AND is it just me but I love the bag pipes love Celtic music!!

Me too got to see him twice. Waited in line for 4 hours just to buy tickets back in the old days.
$5.00 per ticket for floor seats about 50 rows back in 1964. Can't imagine what it costs now. Several hundred but still worth every penny.

The bagpipes start playing, the chills run up the spine
Sir Paul McCartney , there is god inside him, god of music. He is god of music.
Amazing! Thank you for sharing this!!! ❤
AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Campbeltown born and bred. ❤️
That's my hometown, sunny Delta.
My dad is on that stage. He died in November. I'd do anything to hear him practice his snare drum again.
Magical! Awesome concert. As usual.

No one. NO ONE like Paul McCartney.
He wrote an IrishScottish Folk Song
Brilliant🖤🌟♥️🎼🎶🎵🙏🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧
With Denny Laine.
It’s not Irish , it’s Scottish.
beautiful!!!
Kudos the the pipe band in those feather bonnets ,they are crazy hot under the lights…👍
I’ve Seen Paul LIVE twice with Linda..💙💙💙💙💙
Sadly NO PipeBand
Awesome!
Amazing. today I will see him at fenway park ;)
Most Americans will never hear this wonderful song live, it is virtually non existent. It's a real shame that it was never a hit here.
why do I have salty water in my eye, I'm not Scottish
when the bagpipes start to play we all are scottish

I wonder what venue this was in. I don't think they don't have anything in Delta that could host this performance.
It's in the description, but the title was too long otherwise ;). Rogers Arena, Vancouver, BC.
@@strangedaysindeed9 Yeah, I looked it up. I'm surprised it was the Delta Police bagpipe band and not one in Vancouver.
