What a rich tone and dexerity combined with lyrical mastery ... and at such a young age. Great conducting and orchestra ... doesn't overpower the beauty of the viola.
Along with Kim K. (can't spell her name) Tabea may be the best violist I heard around these days. Really awesome with the quartet she is in. This is a great document of her so young then!
Those C string notes at 11:47 .... so gorgeous. I wish she'd stayed on this viola if it were possible. I know Ms Zimmermann 'won a viola' and she stayed on it, but to her, that has become her "new sound" and it's not to my taste. She's a wonderful player and I always hoped that she had the best viola in her hands. At the moment: she's playing with a marvellous tone and musical passion on a modern viola, but new the best modern viola.
Well look at the good side, you are practicing a pice I can't play yet, I'm 20 years old and I started 2 years playing viola (my first musical instrument) I feel bad to start studying music to late.
@@arathmiguelnerirojas1253 I was like 11 when I started and I also felt that way! Time is relative, don't feel like you're losing cause you're not! Just enjoy what you do and try to improve. Also, you only notice the enormous difference after like 5 years lmao I've been now studying viola for 6 years (I did the equivalent of 7 tho, long story) and only now I've been noticing how much I improved! You got this!!
@@lukinino9094 Definitely! I got carpal tunnel which was very problematic for my progress, but now I'm starting to be able to play again. But I do not miss this piece at all.
Times have changed. I can't imagine the Stamitz concerto being of acceptable difficulty for the finale of a viola competition today. Schnittke or bust! ;)
Well the Bartok works quite well, last year’s primrose competition had Bartok and Walton as the finalist viola concertos. But on the international stage alongside the tremendous other talents I agree! Penderecki too would be a good choice at that same level.
I listened to your Biber Passacaglia on your channel. You must have a microphone! That is the best way to improve! Send me your Stamitz and I'll send you mine!

"The first violins will have the mel-"
Stamitz: **no**
oh, Tabea...goddess of the viola
WOW - What a truly gorgeous sounding viola!
seriously though. she's a 15 yo girl so it can't be that large....
HOLY GUACAMOLE! WHAT A SOUND!!
So glorious! She was, is, and will be wonderful.
TwoSetViolin will question their lives after this
Huh what wrong with it
THERANDOMGUY ISME a good violist that’s also a child prodigy

Excellent! Soulful! The orchestra was excellent and the young lady played beautifully on the viola. 😊🦅🎸
Is the best executacion of the Stmitz Concert!!! Beautiful! Beautiful! Perfect Sound!!

So precious. Awesome early performance in your incredible career.

I personally like Zuckerman more
You really should hear Amihai Grosz, he's my favorite
It’s Kardashian. You’re welcome~
Andrew Vasquez I hope you’re joking 😂

SHE WAS FIFTEEN IN THIS... im fifteen and trying to play this, and i sound like a dying cat
Keep practicing 🙂

The best technique is far from sufficient ; you must put your soul in ; and this is the major difficulty !
Sounds amazing, bravo Tabea! The best, absolutely!
BRAVO/BRAVO/BRAVISSIMO
MUCHAS FELICIDADAS
AMIGOS/AMIGAS.
She is very sweet, which makes her performance very touching !
Großartige Ausführung!
Just gorgeous playing!
wow.... so clean

Magnifique.
Merci :)
Brava!
Great for a Kid
🤩
I learn this next year ❤️, but I'm not a prodigy like she, at the moment that I will play it, I would be 17 years old
How did it go
I’m learning it rn
9:55- the cadenza
Parabéns.
If I was just hearing this I would have told you someone was really rockin out on the Cello.
09:55 Cadenza ❤️
zimmermann
What is the edition of the cadence of the first movement? Anybody know?
Davi Dimana Franz Beyer is the composer of this cadenza but I don't know the edition where we can find this
beyer
20:45 3rd movement
Does anyone know which kadenza is she playing after the second mov?
🎶🎵🎉🥰👍
Muy justo el 1* premio
Tenia 16 años en ese entonces!
Ya no, desgraciadamente
Suave sonoridade, belo.

i keep on wondering how she managed to memorize this all
Repetition. Hours and hours of practice can allow for memory like that.
Where can I get the Cadenza for the 2nd movement?
I am after all the cadenzas, would anyone knows who the composer is?
Magdalena Ojeda Franz Beyer cadenzas
1:28 comienza.
I want to know the Cadenza of that song. What version of Stamitz's sheet music is it?
I didn't find it anywhere... I think she wrote it herself!
It’s the Franz Beyer cadenza
Is that Eric Morecambe conducting?
Qui a composé les cadences? C'est magnifique!
Beyer és l'autor de les cadències. Magnífiques sí que son!
Franz Beyer ist der Komponist der Kadenz
Beyer, I am sure as I have the partition before my nose
Do you have the score? I can not find it
The cadenza is not by Primrose, Meyer, Katims, Fine, Klengel, or Dejardin. I would love to know who wrote these cadenzes!!!
+Viola Bear The cadenzas she played are all by Franz Beyer.
+Viola Bear Yes, they are from Beyer. In fact you can find them on the Cadenzas book (Stamitz, Zelter and Hoffmeister) edition Kunzelmann.
Also this is stamitz's opus ONE.
What is the name of this peace in English?
Stamitz viola concerto
Does anyone know which edition this is? I have the Katims, but I think this is the Primrose.
not primrose! -primrose edition owner
+Sarah Schroder To me is sounds like Peters/International.
The Cadenza was written by Franz Beyer, but idk what edition has it.
Start 3:45
I play this piece at auditions, there is something that the panels do not like about my performance - can never work out what it is....
You should record yourself! I'm working on this piece too.
Daniel Urbanowicz cannot get microphone to connect to computer.....
I listened to your Biber Passacaglia on your channel. You must have a microphone! That is the best way to improve! Send me your Stamitz and I'll send you mine!
Daniel Urbanowicz that was recorded by recording students in a recording studio
Recording devices are so cheap now! It's just nice to hear from other violists to see how they play and understand the music.
20:44
Laura Ingals ?
