    Have some of those cups as well, really nice! I dig their new Battle Station design. Being able to hold that many barbells and also integrate plate storage is clutch. The only thing I don't like, as you mentioned is the off hardware size.

    I’ve had this rack since 2020, it’s amazing especially if you live in a smaller apartment. It’s handled everything I’ve ever thrown at it, and the pulley system they’re coming out with looks absolutely incredible.

    I've had this rack for a year, and am actually in the process of doing a review of it, but I've loved it. As someone who doesn't have space for a proper rack to be up full time having this in the apartment is very beneficial.
    The biggest con for BridgeBuilt is the lead times. As mentioned they're a small company and it can take a long time to get your items. I ordered my rack in August 2021 and received it in January 2022. If you can handle that kind of wait, I'd say go for it. Also get the beefy wheel kit, you'll thank me later.

    Had one all throughout the pandemic and it was great, but eventually I wanted more accessories and the 3/4 inch holes was what made me move over to the PR-4000. That being said, I had it well before Bridgebuilt introduced a bunch of new accessories. They're also one of the only premium brands that has a really short version of their squat stand.

    Ordered mine about four months ago and I’m still waiting. They have been diligent about getting back to me, but the biggest thing has been because they are a smaller company. They are having distribution issues like many other smaller businesses. Still though I can’t wait to get this and start using it. This just solidifies that my decision making back then was on the right track. Thanks coop

      It took me about 6 months to get mine. Amazing quality, worth it in my opinion but it took forever to get it. I also bought the spotter arms in August. If i remember correctly, the website said they had them in stock and ready to ship. It's January 2023 and I still haven't received it. They said I'll get it at the end of the month but they also said the same thing in November...Safe bets, probably looking at like a 6 month wait for accessories or the squat rack. Can't blame them though, small company, amazing quality.

    Having had my Bridge Phoenix rack for over two years now, I have to say its truly perfect for my usage. Folds away when not needed, i can take parts off to lighten it. The big thing i had issues with every other power rack is my garage space has an EXTREMELY short ceiling, this was just about the only option available for me. I actually upgraded it to a full cage. The beefy wheel kit is worth it. The safety straps and spotter arms are immensely nice quality. As many others have said, and as is mentioned, 3/4" is not ideal, but Buffalo Bully Fabrication may be making some pin sleeves to make 5/8" attachments fit without slop. These racks are made to order so there is 100% going to be a fairly long wait, but its a beast of a rack and well worth it

    This is a fantastic rack. It literally makes my compact home gym possible and it's incredibly hefty and well balanced. Other squat racks are known to tip over if too much weight hits the safeties. I've seen this thing take up to 500 lbs on the safeties. If you're limited on space this should be at the top of your list.

    Part of the sound issue seems to be lack of isolation in the space they are filming in. It’s a big open box with no sound dampening.
    The other is checking the sound prior to filming to ensure the mic isn’t clipping when being recorded to camera or to an outboard recorder.
    Recording sound separately to a device would allow an EQ to roll off some of the low bass noise that makes the sound distorted.
    Audio and fitness nerd 🤓
    Most editing softwares have effects you can use to help the issue, but recording quality audio from the get go would be 1000x better.
    I would also recommend after editing to listen to the playback on a variety of devices. Headphones, phone speakers, etc. as it’s going to sound different on each form of playback 👌
    Love the videos and the reviews but the audio is harsh on the ears.

    I have the full power rack. It’s amazing. Honestly I don’t fold it in ward. I just needed a small rack for a low sealing. I have an outdoor gym with a covering, and the clear coat looks amazing and holds up well. I think when I clean the gym floor in the wrack area , being able to fold it and move it out is a big bonus. There customer service is fantastic the owner sent me the wrong strap size, and he sent me new ones free of charge. Bridge built has a customer for life.

    I have the bridge built squat stand and absolutely love it! Had a different set up and sold it cause I wanted to be able to park my truck in my garage. Agreed with everyone else’s comments on LT. Rack took about 2-3 months to get in which wasn’t terrible compared to some other folks wait times. Spotter arms were about 8 months and I’m still waiting on my dip arms and landmine attachment. But like others say the owner Patryk is extremely communicative. As a person who works in supply chain I can understand their challenges. Still love my rack and can’t wait to get my pulley system in!

      I'm coming up to 5 months wait time and all types of excuses as to why it's not being shipped. Supposedly been built in late October/early November 2022. I was promised It would be shipped by last week. Looks like I'm going to have to go through Paypal to force them to ship or get my money back. Absolutely ridiculous how many times they promised a ship date and then go silent and never meet the mark. Looks like I'm not the only person who's dealing with this issue based on the google reviews recently. Damn shame too because it's Exactly what I wanted in a folding squat rack.

    In the UK market Primal Strength has an identical option but weighs in at 91kg (200lbs) as it comes with pull up bar and spotter arms included. This has an upgrade of fold out system as it is all done with pop pins rather than ones that come out and can be lost
    There is even a cheaper option from Extreme Fitness, same design again.
    Interestingly both come standard with wheels not optional.
    I think compact/fold away racks have a much bigger audience in UK due to our smaller garages/spaces.

    Coop, on the Amazon squat stand you placed hundreds of pounds on it. In this video you had all those red plates in the background and never placed a pound on it to show the actual stability under load. Love the videos, but I’d like some consistency in the review standards. Keep killing it.

    • @DaveSchneider7
      @DaveSchneider7 Рік тому +7

      It’s 11 gauge 3”x3” steel. There are tons of drop tests on racks that meet that standard already, everyone knows they can handle insane weight. There’s nothing interesting to learn there, unlike when he did the drop test on the cheap Amazon rack. That was new, and proved that the difference between the small cheap racks and these beefy expensive ones is not safety.

It will take 5 months to get once you place your order. But the thing is strong and sturdy. 5/8th attachments should work fine and tend to be more common than 1inch anyways. If you’re buying it your buying it for the functionality and at that it’s perfect. As a standard rack. It’s perfect. When you first mentioned the pulley system, I thought it would be pretty neat. It looks like it attaches pretty quickly. The routing of the cable isn’t complex so taking it off and putting it on when I need it wouldn’t be that bad. But now I’m trying to figure out where to anchor my legs for lat pull downs. I can put a bench sideways so that it straddles the lower flat leg, but I’m not sure where I’d put a roller to anchor my legs that wouldn’t interfere with the cable. Maybe something that could attach to one of the holes on the foot?

I'd like to be able to train with friends and family without having to share the same rack. Would you recommend going for one of these in addition to the power rack and yoke, or replace the yoke I have with one that has squat rack capabilities.
    I love the look of these folding squat racks over standard squat stands or wall mounted folding racks as they seem like they are solid with a small footprint and also portable enough.

  • @northeastcorals
    @northeastcorals Рік тому

    I'd opt for one of the folding full racks available. When folded up without any added attachments the one I have probably only takes up about the same amount of space as this squat rack & it folds out & locks into a full rack in less than 5 seconds with VERY little effort & then you have a full rack with much more functionality.
    Obviously most if not all the foldable full racks available are not built to the same over the top standards as this beast but I think they are more than sturdy enough for all but the monstrous of powerlifters & the ease/speed of unfolding them coupled with their extra functionality wins it for me personally.

    3/4" makes way more sense. It means more affordable components with plenty of strength. Bolts alone are a fraction of the cost of 1" grade 5 bolts. Also, much less steel is removed from the uprights which kinda matters if companies want to use 14g or have fully cross-drilled uprights.

    Re the added holes in the uprights. I attach handles to the uprights and use it to support weighted sissy squats. One possible use

  • @ellrao7813
    @ellrao7813 Рік тому +5

    I get that the "off" hardware size is annoying, now that 3x3" uprights with 1" holes seem to be the new gold standard. As an engineer I fully support their decission to go smaller though. A 3/4" / 19mm pin with 2" / 50mm hole increments can hold around 5500lbs / 2500kg in 11gauge or 3mm steel. So that would be the case if the pin would just go through 1 side of the upright - so basically double that. And you got 2 pins with 2 uprights, so basically double that again. Of course, you could argue that you don't drop the weight perfectly balanced on both sides and you could argue that the pin would not put force into the front and the back side of the upright equally, but the point is, it's probably still enough. In my opinion, a 5/8" / 16mm pin (Rogue Monster Lite/Infinity series) is the sweet spot. Even with 1" hole increments (Westside Hole Spacing) a 5/8" / 16mm pin can hold around 2000lbs / 900kg in 11gauge or 3mm steel (basically double and double that again). I'd argue that they are strong enough to safely hold all the weight a human could possibly handle, with the uprights - not the pin! - being the weakest link, so in worst cases you might break into the next hole and be safe either way. With 2" / 50mm increments a 5/8" / 16mm pin can hold around 5800 lbs / 2600 kg. As comparision, a 1" pin with 2" increments can hold 4800lbs / 2180kg. That's less than a 5/8" pin can, due to the smaller distance between the holes in the uprights. The 1" hardware standard is something that should never have happened. Bigger isn't always better. Same as some people would say that the Rogue Infinity series is superior to the Monster, since you have 1" smaller uprights, which results in easier walkouts, whilst still not being able to ever break the upright.

    Nice/cool rack. Been contemplating buying one since they started manufacturing it. Wish they made it all 7-gauge, which is the only reason I hesitate to buy one (I use a compact Samson full rack, which is all 7-gauge & thus very heavy/stable & almost indestructible); 7-gauge is 50% stronger/heavier than 11-gauge. Is it stable when you do chins/dips or does it wobble?

      As an owner of a phoenix rack, allow me to answer. I converted my rack to a full power rack, and honestly it doesnt affect the mobility muchm the clydesdale fixed rack they just came out with looks pretty sick though. 5/8" 3x3 attachments will work, though there might be a touch of slack, and for that reason Ive stuck with attachments by Bridge. I also spoke to Buffalo Bully Fabrication about doing sleeve adaptors for 5/8" to 3/4" with set screws, so we will see what comes of it

    That is the best looking squat stand I have ever seen. Now let’s move to price which is way too expensive especially since it does not include shipping and handling. I sold my rogue sml 1 lite squat rack to save on space, but it did not cost as much for the base price. I spent 600 with spotter arms as well. When I sold it I got full asking price, and I bought my self a used pair of cff elite pro squat stands that can hold 1000-1200. I got lucky and bought them for $100.
    If I did have 1000 plus to spend on Squat rack then I probably would buy it.

    Hey Coop, I’m so happy to see you do this review I’ve had my Bridge Built rack since 2020, I absolutely love it and wouldn’t swap it for anything else. I spent quite a bit of time researching equipment before buying and watching your reviews to make the best decision for me. Ultimately, I decided to go with BB For their quality, customization, and of course, because I wanted to support a small business making awesome equipment in America. I went into this knowing that the three-quarter inch holes were going to limit my options until BB expanded their line of attachments- quality takes time and you know best of all a garage gym is never built in a day, better one piece at a time over time. I have since expanded my rack to a four post, adding both the pull up bar and multi grip bar, as well as safety straps, dip, attachment, like rollers, which are good for nearly everything from preacher curls to Bulgarian split squats. I’m hopeful that one day jammer arms may become an option. I also just received my adjustable bench from BB, I’m just like they’re flat bench it’s built to last. I’m @jasonprimal on IG and Tiktok if you wanna see it 💪 many thanks and keep the great reviews coming!

      @@BarryMcCock They're getting better every day! Frankly, we grew too fast and didn’t have tried & true systems to support it nor was the landscape accommodating for this type of growth. Sure, many orders could have been shipped faster but that would have required cutting corners on quality and I personally made the decision to not to do that. Am I proud of of the lead times a lot of our customers experienced? Absolutely not but I am proud of each piece of equipment we shipped and I know our customers are proud of the equipment they own. We’ve spent the last almost 2 years building the systems to accommodate a much higher order volume while maintaining premium quality. Unfortunately things like this take time but we're finally at a point where we have a light at the end of the tunnel and feel confident in saying that our goal of next day shipping on Phoenix Racks will be achieved this spring/summer! 💪🏾 Thank you!
