I appreciate how you keep the WGU content and how to get a CS degree fresh and up-to-date if there are any changes (as there could be changes overtime I’d imagine and you’re always on top of it). I’m thinking of getting WGU degree in computer science so your videos help a lot with that.
Hi Alex, I have a question about one of the Math courses. I was looking at the spreadsheets, and for CS Calculus I, it is shown to be done on StraighterLine, but on other spreadsheets, Calculus I is shown to be done on the study. What would the difference be?
Another great deep dive! What are your thoughts about potential career opportunities that might be available to someone with a computer science degree as opposed to the software engineering degree? Initially I was leaning towards the software engineering degree (simply to avoid some of the upper level maths😅) but after seeing more in depth the classes offered in the CS degree it does seem like the career opportunities might be broader with that degree. Is that a fair assessment?
Hey Alex, while it might be a hard question to answer (subjective, dependent on many factors), what uni would you choose OVERALL for a CS degree? (I’m between WGU & TESU respectively). Let me know when u can and thanks for the vids!!! ❤
Can’t go wrong with either… I guess I’d pick TESU if you don’t mind spending more money. The ACE Credits will actually say they are from TESU itself on the transcript (great for Master degrees, government licenses, etc), WGU’s will actually say from those platforms. And TESU has way less grads meaning the degree will always be the utmost credible (so will WGU most likely). Just make sure you don’t do more than 15 credits at TESU or you’re gonna be spending a fortune.
@@alexsheppe thanks for the respone and advice!! One other big thing to mention is time. I work 35 hours a week and wonder if TESU’s model is ok for that? (Sorry for all the questions)
How many college credits do you have, if any? The best path for TESU is to do 81-90 ACE Credits, 24 credits from a community college or acceleration university, and do between 6-15 credits at TESU.
@@alexsheppe I have 93 credits--a lot of them won't transfer bc they were towards a phil. degree. I assume though that TESU will accept more of my credits than WGU tho
@caseyhrt was it a regionally accredited degree? If so, that will cover your 24 credit RA requirement at TESU. And would likely cover all your electives in general. You’d just need to do your major classes and general ed classes on ACE Credit platforms and then 6-15 credits at TESU.
hey, i really like the idea of such a short duration degree. also its not very expensive. i have confusion on how credits work because my county's education system doesn't use credits. and my parents insist that I take traditional degree (it costs similar to this online degree) because they think its better. how should I convince them? your help will really make my future better
What country are you in? WGU only accepts USA and Canada Students but there are other schools that are hackable for international students such as UMPI and TESU. Explain to your parents, with these schools and ACE Credits, you can graduate college much faster and get into the workforce quicker. Time is money!
Obviously not doing all of these degrees, lol. Just want everyone to hack their degree. People get their degree faster and cheaper, WGU gets free marketing, and I build up my channel. Everyone wins :)
@@alexsheppe I'm actually doing OSU right now (I'm only 1 term in and have only taken 2 classes) but I'm considering transferring to WGU primarily because it's self paced. I'm not saying it's easier by any means but I just did not like feeling like I was suffocating with schoolwork working a full time job as well

Absolutely loved this degree. I just finished after 4 months and 61 CUs.
I'm about to start. My question is what was your daily and weekly study schedule? Thank you
@@Marelybbmarley No, it was completely self-paced.
@@vectorhacker-r2 how many hours per day?
@@Marelybbmarley About 2 to 3 hours.
@@vectorhacker-r2 that's it? Wow
I uploaded this video earlier, but it glitched and had to re-upload.

Hey Alex! Not sure if you've seen, but the WGU CS program looks updated with new classes. Would be interested in your thoughts.
I love the content! taking detailed notes and getting ready to enroll
Excited to watch this!
Could you please do a deep dive into the BSCC? That’s the one I’m planning on taking after I finish my Gen Ed stuff at Sophia/study

Go to the wgu transfers website and check sophia and it use to accomplish it. Passed it in 5 days

Yes you can work in AI and a lot of advanced fields with C.S. It’s also still the gold standard.
Can you do a similer video for the data analytics degree. Thank you!
