Your observation is astute "as if the sky & the lake are contending for the coveted shades of the colour blue!" Must admit that the weather was favourable to you. Enroute there was also this spot where marmots awaited passerbys for food crumbs!
Pleased to see the signboard for Durbuk. We stayed there at the camp. I remember Chang la was overcast, road works were on..we crossed the check post but didn't stop at the secluded viewpoint at pangong tso where you stood.The view from afar is indeed awe inspiring..the magic of light..the gift of sight..."asadharon!" and "aar ki bolbo?" are an unmistakably thrilling sentiment! Happy to see a sand plover going about its daily business.
We caught the bus for Tsaga from tso and I vividly remember boarding the bus for Hanle from Tsaga on a weekend. An unexpected sighting of a Pallas cat the previous evening was interesting. Merak looks changed though. I don't remember the prefab cottages overlooking the lake during the journey.The quietude is surely a blessing for a walk along the bank. Was it a Brahminy duck making the touchdown? Awaiting rest of the series.
