@@davelink88 yeah, form my understanding they sponsored him a while ago and he was being critical of a game or something and they dropped him? I’m not 100 percent sure but I think that’s what happened?
@@EJD339 pretty much yeah, didn’t pay him after they told him to be himself and he criticised the game

@@EJD339 He was contracted by Microsoft to do four reviews of indie games from their Summer of Arcade series a few years back. He asked them what the guidelines for the videos were and they said just be himself and do whatever he wanted. So in the first review he made fun of the game and said it was lame and boring. Microsoft cancelled the contract and didn't pay him for the first video. This was also around the time he was struggling to pay his rent because UA-cam reworked their ad system and started paying creators way less money than they were before.

Forbidden West had an option where you could turn off the animation for picking stuff up. After this, and the God of War dodge button thing, I'm beginning to think that Matt can't read.
This option came with a later patch and wasn't there when Matt played right after release

I've been watching this channel since day 3. Like 3 days after your first video, Red Dead Redemption 2, I started watching. It's incredible to see how much this channel has grown. To have Norman Reedus live in your audience, what a huge guest star. There was others but I wasn't paying attention. Congrats Mafia 2 for game of the year.
Man, whenever one of you would "break character" and just giggle during the video is such a clear testament to why you are so successful with this channel! You clearly enjoy what you are doing and it makes your content so much more enjoyable to watch

I just loved when Shelby tried to retell the plots of the games!
I think the only reason they think HFW had a forgettable plot is because Matt raced through it to finish it before Elden Ring released.
I found HFW to be a bit forgetable compared with the first. But Its by Far the best looking game this year.

@@John-996 it already has good writing and nothing like ubisoft.
@@introduction1266 Some of the Filler Stuff like Drones all over the map feel very ubisoft. Things like Machine Strike and Racing are done well though. The way the Content is present is allot like a Ubisoft game lots of Things bring marked on the map then having to climb tall Necks to see more of the map.

I was actually disappointed in the murder of Horizon forbidden west, I’ll admit the gameplay is pretty lackluster but the story was pretty good!

My thoughts on most forgettable narrative:
Horizon Forbidden West - Aloy goes West and there are more robot dinosaurs probably
Modern Warfare II - Like the sixth war that is modern or something?
Elden Ring - You can just do whatever and there's probably like an actual story but nobody knows what it is. Is it set in Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings world or something?
Pokemon Arceus - God yeets you back in time so you make the first pokedex to fight God so you can keep them as a pet but like not go home ever :(
