Matej Sommer Well, it started on 0:50, so then it would be 10:00:53. Unless it started early EDIT: never mind, it stopped 15 seconds before the video ended, making you correct.
Don't they? Of course it's amazing, and especially since it's pretty old. I tried to build it myself years ago, but gave up because of obscure lego pieces missing
@@julianw1010I’m reading some of the comments and it’s annoying me how much there is and how much likes they get complaining it’s to loud, or it’s annoyingly slow, like of corse it’s going to be slow and loud it’s legos! the suspense to 10:00 was really good had me on the edge of my seat i was like "just fucking say 10:00 already its already 10 seconds from being 10:01"
We could probably listen to that all night only if I wanted to, but definitely not the whrrrr (number changing) sounds. I would love an 1hr long version of just that
@@ninepointeight7279 so what? switching occurs at the limit and requires a lot of time. it is desirable to speed up the mechanism or change the algorithm for changing numbers.
As a person who started doing stuff with Lego Mindstorms just today at school and is proud for making a robot that rides in infinite eight pattern on the floor, I must say: I NEED THIS SHIT IN MY ROOM THIS CLOCK I FAN SO MUCH PLEASE I NEED THIS CLOCK THIS IS LITERALLY MY DREAM NOW Srsly, this is amazing
Project Zer0 ~40 seconds to reset the entire thing (al 4 numbers changed), also it looks cool and uses only 5 motors, one of which you can remove. One motor to compute a digit going from 0 to 9? Worth the wait.
That's really awesome! It needs to have flaps, 4 vertical and 3 herizonal that makes up the "8"s. It have 7 motors, or electromagnets for each digit that turns the flap from the dark or light sides.
But is it really effective for telling time? Like, the amount of time it takes for the numbers to change, half the minute has elapsed. Cool idea though! :D
*-What time is it?*
*-I'll tell you in forty seconds*
XDDDDDDD
Lol
XDDDD
I counted and it took around 26 seconds
Lol xD
You need to put up a twelve hour version of this video.
I'm not even kidding.
+phuturephunk time lapse
phuturephunk i would watch it
♡
Scratch that...live video a 24/7 live
Poland wants 24h
I always wanted a clock where every minute was an alarm in itself.
You mean, second. lol
Flynt Coal LOL. Every second, that, noise!
And I wanted one when it took a minute to change the minute digit
Flynt Coal I
U must see the clock i made.by the time u tell the time u are awake.😎
That moment when you realize your litterally waiting for a clock to change
you're
he's from england so we say Your
That moment yo realise that by the time the clock has changed another minute has passed
That doesn’t make any sense
@@SomeRandomGuy789 y'reuo
By the time it said 10:00 it was already 10:01
I don't think so... By the time the changing-process finished, it was 10:00:43.
Matej Sommer Well, it started on 0:50, so then it would be 10:00:53.

EDIT: never mind, it stopped 15 seconds before the video ended, making you correct.
Well, in it's memory, it knows the time has changed, it's just completing one cycle before starting another.
lol
then its going to take another min trying to do 10:01 and so and so you wont even know what the time still cool buut too slow
The fact that you found a way to use just one motor for each digit is incredible
Same system used in combo locks
Unfortunately 99% of all the comments here do not appreciate the mechanics behind this. I say really well done to the creator.
Don't they? Of course it's amazing, and especially since it's pretty old. I tried to build it myself years ago, but gave up because of obscure lego pieces missing
Ah, but that clock is marvelously mechanically SIMPLE. It's simpler than an odometer. The trickery is all in the firmware.

really cool, but painfully slow
Fire Wall yeah that's the point

@@user-sy4lz6sw3t I don't think the point of the clock is to be slow as that's rather silly. I think it's just because it's made of Lego

The minute diode takes 1 minute to change...LOL
thats what i thaught
which means the clock gets later and later and later each minute

LOL!
Lol not healthy, man
€:-{(LOL)>
haha no not me
...
The time it takes to rotate probably takes like 3/4 of the whole minute
Collin Smith yea is 43 seconds
exactly 3/4s of a minute and dont say it 2 seconds off
that's exactly what i was thinking
Dad: Whats the time son?
Son: The time is... wait, hang on, almost there... Oh its um 10:00
