Lincoln Nebraska is opening slowly as well. I love you both so much. I learn lots from the two of you. I have been side tracked for a while. I am a you tube learner to sew. I have gotten lost in making masks trying to find the right mask that I can make without having to watch the videos all the time. Time will tell. So, so happy for the two of you. Blessings to keep coming your way, Rebecca, from Nebraska
I love your space. I think you need to keep the room with the window/shelf as an office and checkout window. Use the room you enter as your show room. Have you measured the grid in the opposite direction? Fill up your space as much as possible. People don't but if they don't see a large variety. They love to look at everything and then decide. If you have different stations with only one thing in each station mix them up! Make it so people have to move around to see everything. Starting your own business is BIG! Congratulations! You can also use the room with the large table as your workroom and not allow anyone to go in there. Also, take a small square of each fabric and make a board or book or display of all your fabrics if you take custom orders. That way they don't need to go into your workroom. Keep up the good work! I'm in Newnan - where is your shop located?
Thanks for your sweet comment Joanne. We have made a lot of changes to the space since this video and will have to make a new update video soon so you can see :) The shop is in Marietta- definitely come see us if you are ever in the area!
Your videos are SO great Dani and Nick!!! Do you wash all of your fabrics before you cut/ sew them? A recent fabric order I just received recommends washing the fabric before using it..... but it looks so great already :)
So glad business is good for you! Video idea... may sound boring but one on analytics & how to read them etc. Alberta Canada is slowly starting to open. I still dog treats at a local farmers' market & sales have been slow as a LOT of people have lost their jobs! But tote videos keep me positive & motivated. Much appreciated!!!
Your little shop is looking great!! I love how the bandana wall is looking 😍 Can you guys do a video on how you display your tie on bandanas on the little cards. 🥰
I think it's a great idea to have a space where photos sent by customers of their dogs wearing your bandanas can be displayed. Just like in Pediatrician's office!
Hi, I am new to you channel and am in love with your vibe.....I would love to know what font you use for you Vinyl. I’m new to Cricut and am learning slowly. I have also just started my own little doggy business here in the uk 🇬🇧
Thanks for all you wonderful help! Your shop is so nice! I was wondering if you could share where you buy the cards that your bandanas wrap around on your display? I have searched high and low and I just do not know what to call them to look them up. By the way your pups are adorable!!!!
Do you ever buy fabric wholesale? I know the order requirements are higher but you can get the fabric at least half off or more. Also, how many yards of fabric do you buy at one time once you have purchased the 1 yard for testing.
It still varies for us based on the lifetime of the fabric (if its a holiday or an everyday pattern) and how well we still think it will sell. Anywhere from 4-20 yards. Some patterns at this point I'm sure we've sold over 100 yards, but we never purchase 100 yards at one time of one pattern. I also like to change things up and always rotate new items so sometimes I like when thing sell out and then I can replace it with something new :)
@@DaniBrouse Thank you for the reply. I was wondering if you have a video on the sewing machine you use and where you get your fabric labels/tags. Also, just a suggestion, you should join the Etsy Affiliate program www.awin.com/us (click Publishers and create an account). Then you can use your Etsy affiliate links when sharing your favorite shops and products to make some more income. I appreciate all of your videos. I also follow you on Instagram
As always, loved your video keep them coming! I found your videos as I was getting ready to start up my business and you have been so fun and so helpful. I have a Grace also😊
I too buy fabric via Etsy a lot. I make bows, bandanas, collars, and leashes. I am curious, do you have a limit to how much you will pay for fabric? I am finding that since the pandemic started good quality fabric prices have increased and are eating into my profit. Would love to hear your thoughts.
@@DaniBrouse Thank you for the response. I am spending about the same. Prices have gone up since Covid and I was looking to see if I was the only one spending that much. Thanks for all the information you share with others.
It's looking amazing! I love the clean, fresh look, it's very welcoming, and I can't wait to see it filled with customers and really booming! From my point of view, for the placement for the cash out/register center: Have you ever walked into a store and been confused by awkward check out lines, or see customers confused about where to go to check out? *coughTjMaxx* I think the entrance is a great spot because the first impression would be beautifully decorated walls with amazing products, and your smiling faces! If people walk in and there's no one to greet them, they may feel a bit lost or awkward, but if it's in the entryway, you can set a great experience from the first step in the door! Either way, it's going to be an amazing shop, and I can't wait to see you both succeed at it! Keep it up, guys! ❤️ Oops, almost forgot! Where do you get your product tags (the ones that are sewn into the bandanas, that have your business name on them)? They look great!
I love your videos so much! I have a question though how do you handle it when people ask to model your products and ask for free stuff. Do you take the chance and send them the free item or do you only give models discount codes? I am a start up company and I get lots of people asking me for free stuff and I never know what to say because I know I would be loosing money but any advertisement is good advertisement right?
It's really a personal decision. I see many companies decided to do different things. Tails Up, Pup does not send out free stuff a majority of the time. Everything is handmade and made to order and we just can't justify sending out FREE items. We do give our brand reps a special discount :)

Odd question, but do you wash all of your fabrics? Thank you! :)
What do you use for your bandana tags? They are absolutely adorable! The printable fabric I use isn’t good, it keeps fraying away, I need to upgrade.
Wouldn’t be bad to have space. Hang pic of customer’s pups wearing your Bandanas.Dani and Nick

Hey! Love you videos! How many yards did you have to purchase initially when you were starting out?
I enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing such great info.
Thank you, thank you! Your answering my question I commented in the last vid! ❤

How does it tie? Does the collar just slip through it?
Thank you, this video helped so much
I'm so glad!

Omg I follow you on Instagram and love all y'all posts
Thank you so much!!
It makes more sense to have it in the front across from the window
Hey guys, love watching your videos. Can you please tell me how many yards you typically purchase per design?
Sometimes 5 and sometimes 100... it really depends.
You should do a video where you get your vinyl from x
Do you have any templates for sizing 😭
I think check out should be in an open space. I feel like a side room is awkward for a register.
Where do you get your vinyls from ?

We often spend $18/yard to get the quality and prints that we want but we find it to still be well worth it

I am interested to know where the black tags come from too
why not use the window opening as your checkout you on one side them on the other
What type of cotton do you use?
It's just called 100% cotton

How do y’all see the tag in there please do a video!!! ❤️
Hello! What kind of fabric do you use? Is it 100% cotton?
Most of the fabrics we use for bandanas are 100% cotton.
@@DaniBrouse thank you!
Check out in the lobby
do you make the womens clothing ? or order it whole sale
We do not make them. Our Bandanas, Collars, and leashes are handmade :)
First!!
