This operation is so impressive! These machines are wild I couldn’t take my eyes off this process! I am in the beginning stages of planning my own small business creating dog accessories. I’m looking for efficiency to make my life easier..I like the idea of those rolls!
@@thetalkshop I would like to learn more about how to design and print my own fabric- how would you do this in a domestic environment in other words without your machines? can you do it at home and how? loved this video.
@@purelivingfoodsbygina4244it’s just sublimation which you can definitely do on a smaller scale! You can get a ecotank printer for pretty cheap and use sublimation ink in it and get a heat press and some 100% polyester fabric and start printing and pressing your own fabric it’s obviously limited to you print size and press size but it’s def possible to dip your toes in to for relatively low cost
I love how much thought you put into making these collars, from start to finish! What type of fabric do you use for the collars? and where did you purchase the product from?
Hi Vlad, I first saw you on upflip and I really enjoy your honesty and willingness to share with perfect strangers all the ins and out of your business. I just started using sublimation printing after watching your episode on upflip, to make my own fabrics for my partyhats. In the past, I used tshirt transfer paper but, I was limited by 8x10 sheets. You showed how you make your collars but I don't have photos shop so what other open source software can I use to create my hat templates like you have done with your collars so I can print multiple hats to sublimate? For years I wanted to make my own fabric designs like you but I didn't know about sublimation. Thank you so much for sharing.
I wasn't even wishing I got that much sales on Etsy in a day. That much sales in a month is already more than 10 times what I'm currently selling. It's an interesting video. I've been wondering how your collars are made. I would even like to see a more in-depth video about it. (Don't worry I won't start making dog collars :D. No-one can outcompete you.)
Lol ya for sure, you must be selling large price items. I was thinking of doing more production detailed videos as well so maybe I’ll come back to the process of dog collar making. I definitely plan to improve the product, so maybe during that I’ll show more
I am a huge fan of your reasonable common sense ideas for Etsy shops. I have a plan to incorporate many of your ideas into my small Etsy shop. I am approaching 1K sales after 2 years and I'm ok with that but hope to grow into more products, develop a couple of other niches that have proven to be successful and have no plan to do any real scaling. Mostly I want you to know how valuable I think your advice is, how relevant it is to us with small shops, and how easy it is to put lots of your suggestions into practice. The Brown Hen Farm@Etsy
@@thetalkshop I'm so impressed with your work ethic! Your content is amazing. Your drive is clearly next level. I noticed the short you did that had the two girls in it. Are those your daughters!?!? I can hardly believe all the work you are putting in now if you're a father that is insane! I have two boys myself so I understand the amount of time etc that takes. Do you have or are you putting together a course for starting and running a successful Etsy shop? I get the feeling you are putting something together from the way you present. Thanks for getting back to me so fast and congrats on your success!
@@MrT-dn5hm thank you so much for the kind words, those are my two daughters, yes it’s a crazy season of life. But the only way I can do that is waking up at 5 AM and working till 5 PM (no later) and optimizing the process as best that I can so I can have other people do the work. Yes I’m working on the course right now, it’ll probably take me another 2 to 3 months to finish it
How cool! Really fun vid to watch. I loved it! I’d love to see more, like how you got started. I’m a dog lover. I have 3 rescues so I really like your product idea. I’m subbing
The best strategy today is to have as many designs on your Etsy shop as possible, which means you would need to put your fabrics. Why do offer a print on demand service for the dog collars, if you’re interested reach out to me on my Instagram @vlads_talkshop
I'd like to know too. I'd never justify the cost, but I just sewed 75 tote bags for charity and had to sew that d&8# box stitch 4x per bag for the straps. Man, I was tired of doing those! That machine would be heaven.

Thank you!
This is so freakin cute! I love what you do. Thanks for allowing us to watch what you do
Thank you for the kind words!
May I ask where you bought the attachment for the straps? I make tote bags and that attachment would be so helpful! 😮 6:33

I absolutely love watching the process! Thank you for sharing. 🐕
Slick operation. Well done!

You sure can!!

Hey Darlene, thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it
Thanks for your content. How long did it take you to get a consistency of daily sales?
Thank you! Probably like a year, but I went pretty fast and hard and growth. That’s when I hired my first employee

It would be easier if you used a bias binding cutting machine, rather than a industrial, straight knife cutter

Мужик, я не совсем понял, ты используешь нейлоновую стропу как базу под ткань или нет? Хм 🤔
The nylon is sewed inside of the collar, and two sides of fabric are on the outside
