I'm still shocked that this channel hasn't blown up. I absolutely love this channel one of my favorite fisherman to watch. Come do a show on the Green River in Wyoming. Huge browns and huge rainbows and the occasional cutty.
@@christofferlindberg2287 depends where you're fishing. In northern Manitoba or Ontario a 42-45 inch fish is a trophy with a 48 inch class fish being a giant. Alaska pike don't grow quite as big since they're so far north. In the US, trophy pike fisheries are hard to come by with anything over 40 being a trophy with a few high 40s fish here and there, particularly in the Great Lakes.
@@jackk1830 Okey, interesting. Thanks for the info! I was wondering why a lot of US based fishing material seem to catch such (relatively) small pike, although they seem skilled. Where I live a fish at 40 is a good fish but even an very inexperienced fisherman could get lucky and catch one or two during a day.
I know exactly where you are when you caught those sheefish. 10 years ago we would pull 40" pike and bigger from this spot. Not so much any more but still pull monster pike out of Minto. Minto Flats is my playground.
@Joe Cermele ah fair enough. I know it gets done all the time but sometimes i see new rods or reels that I think are cool. Like that van staal! But alrighty I'll keep that in mind next time. Awesome episode as usual.
I love the Metal music intro, but the constant metal back track was distracting. Overall love the vibe of this episode and I liked and subscribe for more!
Why are they shoving their hands into the gills of fish they're releasing??? Trout fishing you would never do this when releasing fish, normally barely take them out of the water!
Its time Joe got back on the road with another episode...Hook Shots has too continue. Great content!
Miss this show so much.
Another awesome video. Man that looks like a blast! I never even heard of those sheefish. They do look juat like a snook, super cool.

Did my only fly-in fishing trip to Minto Flats, back in 1995 for pike. Awesome time.
What size would be considered a trophy pike in the US (or Canada for that matter)?

Lived in Alaska for 37 years, did a lot of hunting & fishing. It was fantastic. But I'm happy to not live there anymore. Been there, done that...
wtf is the music

Mmmmmm I reaaaalllly wanted them to throw jerk bait’s
The "music" forced me to mute sound.
first
wow! I like your videos!keep up!your lures are made by yourself or bought on website?I can recommend you a website called maxcatch

They aren't putting their hands in the gills, if they did, their hands would get cut up. You hold a pike by the slits in the bottom of the mouth
Real men lipland them.
Authentic fishing, bad music! To bad
