I'm 62 and grew up to Sergio Mendez and Brazil 66. It brought tears of joy of the innocence and purity of the era and sadness of missing those days of youth and happiness and people's loosing their decency and of today's corruption. Thank you for bringing the wonderful music into my life. God bless
Couldn’t agree more … they exude a joy a pleasure that has completely disappeared now. Brought great joy to me to hear this again. Wonderful and thanks
I want to time travel 😩, I get so tired of the current era I live in. I was born in 1970, I adore and love nostalgia ❤. I am retro and have extreme adoration for the counter culture of the 1960's. I escape through music and movies, and various other platforms. I feel life was simple and easier to understand. I long for this to return, but I have come to the realization it never will.
Queen B im a 60s person , i will adore its music and culture until eternity ,,Clothes , hair styles , make up shoes a great figure were all available , its music was so diverse , what a choice we had ,,, i do believe with all my heart and soul life is what you make it ....i feel Time travel is given to us from You Tube ,,,, And memories xx kind regards xx Jane xx
@@oughtonoughton2634 I thank you so much for your response and insight. I do frequent You Tube alot, so that I can escape 😆. I do adore the 60's and 70's. I am planning, when things are calm again, to visit Asbury and Haight in Sanfrancisco. I want to visit the consignment shops, the art displays, and library. I love the books, music, and movies. I was blessed in 2008, to meet an older Hippie and she gave me her jewelry.❤ I wear it consistently and refuse to part with it 😆.
One of the best comments on here. Sergio and his musicians and gorgeous singers were class with a capital C. His music will forever live on in the people who grew up listening to it in the 60s and 70s. May the great man RIP❤.
When I hear this song, I was 18, my girlfriend Jan was 17, and we just started going out, in chicago, she lived down the street from me. I had a 1962 grand prix, it was a great time, we been married 49 years now.
I am 61. When I was 4 or 5 I learned how to used my parents stereo. I learned of my love of music also, and I would play my Dad's records one right after another. Burt Bacharach and Sergio Mendes & Brazil '66 were my favorites. When I listen to the songs now it brings back really wonderful memories of when I was a kid...
Thank you for your service the music was perfect for the time. I know personally I didn't know what was going on I definitely was a fool/ air defense Artillery out of Fort Carson Colorado. 1974❤️
So true what you said, and i miss those years. Now we living in a evil time. That's why I'm so happy that we have this music. When i listen to this music it brings peace and love in my heart. I am now 64 years old and i really miss those years. ❤
I'm 66 and listened to these Brazil 66 songs on my hand-held transistor radio while riding my bike in the country. School was out and summer vacation.. and felt totally free ...this music brings back those pleasant memories. Great time to be a kid!

I was 11. I was bored with R&R. After explaining my boredom to the local record store owner she said "check out this album just released by Sergio Mendes and Brazil 66. The album was "Fool on the Hill". I wore that album out from shear love of every song on it. 7 years later I'm immersed in Bossa Nova and Samba and learning to play those genres on guitar from a Brazilian native. Thanks for the soundtrack to my life Sergio. Herb Albert gets honorable mention.
Ah, when music was music! Not like the screamers and shouters of today. We owe a deep debt of gratitude to Sergio Mendes and his contributions to the music world.
I was a kid in 1967 and The Look Of Love and Fool On The Hill cheered me up. They made the two songs romantic, and actually better. Not to mention Sexy.
I'm happy I lived in the era that produced this music. And can seek it out now, because I know it exists. Each year less, and less will ever remember. Just an enchanting, and nuanced version of the original. The brass adds just the right touch. I wouldn't change being a teenager and young adult in the 60' thru the 80's for anything. Even without all the technology available today. I would go back in a second. You just had to be their to understand what real freedom we had vs. today. I'm old now, but very content. I really like Beiber, Dua Lipa, and Post Malone. But it's not the same.

É difícil acreditar que músicas assim tão sofisticadas tocavam nas Rádios e nós as assobiavamos no Recreo nas Escolas ou nas praias.
How do you take a Beatles song and actually make it better ? Pure Genius. This song congers up musical memories of my childhood
Its okay DEFINITELY NOT BETTER
Brazil 66 done in 68 it holds up and nearly matches the Original Fool On The Hill what a fine tune
Souless muzak forgotten 2 mins after hearing it..ruined a simple song ,awful.

This beautiful song and fantastic group transforms me back to my youthful years. Outstanding!!
I just can't find the words................!. Sadly we just don't have this quality - the singing, the music - in today's music!
