Oh man, this module I'm waiting for eagerly. You certainly are doing your homework!
Do you remember back to those days when you were maybe twenty and a crew chief, and how nimble you were back then? The hands know what to do, it's climbing around the planes that gets complicated. Avionics Tech, 1969 to 1976, USAF. F-105F/G's at Korat, cargo and helicopters every where else.
Holy crap! that's a hell of a design. I honestly never thought about how that worked. Glad we never had to use those, that looks like it really sucks. Awesome to see though. :)
Total respect, guys👍🏻
Thanks for this new episode. Very interesting way of placing the chute and the cable.
Never knew how the chute was installed. Those metal retention tabs though, super interesting.
I installed many drag chutes when working for Flight Systems on their F100 aircraft, the area above the drag chute was covered with asbestos and every time I locked the container into the aircraft I had some asbestos fall of the aircraft on me. I don't remember any warnings about the asbestos until later, I am 79 and still here so looks like it never got me.
Can't wait for this module 😍
It’s gonna be so awesome!
That's so cool
A little more involved process compared to an F-4 drag bag.
Just a little. LOL!
All the work you put in just to have Nick end up stealing your money.
