Just wanted to say this is a great video and really helped me install new door speakers. Very easy to follow and good at explaining in detail. After installing the front set by just popping off the grills, The back grills were making me scratch my head. Thanks

I have this same truck 2004 model. I need quiet ride wheels and I almost want to take the plastic door panels off to reduce rattling on any bumpy streets or especially offroad. Plus my speakers clip really bad and vibrate the panel which makes it sounds worse. need to be replaced. Any suggestions to make the truck in general have a smoother quieter ride.
You would need to take all the door panels off and use put sound deadening material in the door panels. You could even double up on layers where space permits. Here's some on Amazon amzn.to/3K90EXP As for the speakers I would basically glue them in with some silicon caulk. Still use the clips, but the caulk would hold everything firm and give a softer surface for the speakers to rest on.
4:38 you can see the door with the panel off. If you look to the left of the speaker, there is a opening there that will allow access to the window track. You might have to remove the speaker as well to fasten the track back onto the window glass.

Not surprised. On my driver side front door my window cable broke and I replaced it with an aftermarket parts. I got the motor, tracks, cables and all on Amazon for around $60. I installed it and it been working great for the last two years.
