So sorry that those cute kitten siblings have Ringworm and it really seems to be a huge breakout at a lot of Resco and Fosters too.🤔. I really do hope that it’s contained only in their room even though Mr. A did see a patch of fur missing which is a sign of Ringworm (which I’ve learned many time from watching these live Rescue/Foster cams). I’m sure Mr. A and Dr. DJ has everything under control too and will definitely eradicate it completely. Thank you Bizzicat for the update even though I did see the banner scroll across the bottom that said “Mr. A is taking Ringworm to the Vet then I knew something bad was up. It will get taken care of and I sure do hope none of the Faculty gets it and especially Teaspoon cause his immunity is compromised for sure. Thanks agwin qnd God bless qns have a good night. Sue M. The Faculty are all going to the vet on Monday. That will be quite a task crating up 6 cats and taking them all at once! Then all of the other cats and kittens visit the vet on Tuesday. Let's hope it doesn't go beyond the Rainbow Room kittens, which is now renamed the 'Ringworm Room' by Dr. DJ!
Sorry about the kittens. I hope they get through this difficult period as soon as possible. I wish patience for Mr. A and DJ 😿 By the way, dear Mr. A, isn't it harmful for your feet to walk around the house all day in these shoes? Please wear comfortable slippers. We always wear slippers in Turkey, they are very comfortable. Love to you.
Hopefully, the treatment will clear up the ringworm in due course. It's a lot of work for the Academy's humans, though. Many thanks for uploading this informative video, Bizzicat!
So sorry to hear this!!! I had a rescue kitten who had it but was asymptomatic when I adopted him. It’s a labor intensive treatment/cleanup process. The rescue kitten plus my four other cats had to be treated, and then my son and I both developed it!! It’s nothing to mess with or ignore. Probably the shelter this litter came from needs to be notified, too.😟
I don’t know where you find the energy, Mr. A!!😂 I am exhausted just watching you from my bed!😂 I love you guy’s!!! I was wondering what you were looking for with the black light!💡 Love you & all the kitties!🐈⬛ Hi Dr. DJ! You guy’s are amazing!! All the kittens are in Great hands at the Kitten Academy!!🐾🐾🐈🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛❤️
I adopted my kitten Sneaker Sadie from the shelter on August 16th. Was told no reason to take her in to see my vet immediately because she had just seen the vet and had everything needed and she has dissolvable stitches. Come the very end of Sept I notice she has a bald spot on her tail and I have the telltale human sign of ringworm on my arm where she cuddles. I thought I was going to get stuck with a sick visit bill, but my vet still charges a well visit and gives her a shot and meds you give for 3 treatments of basically 1 week one 1 week off and the kitten hated it until I discover she loves her Churu and will take anything with it. Didn't have to clean the house from top to bottom because just her and I already had it as did my Mom so we just had to do regular cleaning and everyone is good, but I have some scarring because I got it bad. The shelter found out after I had got kitten and they had to treat everyone. They could have called those of us who had adopted during that time to warn us. Fyi: Sneaker is a Tuxie also
Oh dear, the turn of this New Year did not start out well for Kitten Academy for germs/issues for the kittens. I had hoped that the home would have "smooth sailing" for awhile. Sorry that this is happening and I know that Dr DJ & Mr. A are prepared and knowledgeable but it's still frustrating! Best of luck that the humans do not get this as well 💪🫶🙏
I caught the bit about having to wear PPE when tending to those kids. as if they haven't already gone through a lot at such a tender age before they got to KA. here's hoping it's just a tiny outbreak that can be resolved swiftly and easily. 😁
the thing I notice with Romps and Tuts is - they sleep on the very thing they won't get on when they've eaten!!! I'm calling for a remote control scale so that they can be weighed while they nap and Mr A has one less thing to do! 🤣
Oh no !!! I went thru that in the 90’s !!! Turns out I AM HORRIBLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO RINGWORM. HAD TO HAVE TOPICAL & ORAL TREATMENT. Yeah I wish it was r called ringworm. Thing is it MUST BE TREATED. It will never heal on its own !! 😮😮
I noticed Mr. A was using the blacklight in the annex last night, and suspected he was looking for ringworm on Cape's kids. I guess he didn't find any, fortunately...?
@ Thank you for answering. I was just curious because I’ve had to deal with it with a stray we took in and I certainly would have loved to have heard the positive upbeat approach I see here.
“I’ve been itchy and bald for decades”😂😂😂
I nearly woke up my husband, I was laughing quite loudly at that one!😂
hahahah :D
That was the best part!! 🤣🤣🤣
All the sweet little kittens will made it through this disease with the wonderful love and care of DJ and MrA ❤
Just what Mr A didn't need.
Awww, Mr. A's got his work cut out for him. Thank you Bizzicat for bringing all of us the news.
The ending is the best part of the video😂. Just amazing all the stuff theseguys can get after being exposed to outside elements

He did indeed discover the problem last night. He has not seen it on anyone except Jumper and Smock so far!
@BizziCat 🤞 Fingers crossed it's just in the one room!
Has the kitten academy dealt with ringworm before with other classes?
This is the first case they have had to deal with!
@ Thank you for answering. I was just curious because I’ve had to deal with it with a stray we took in and I certainly would have loved to have heard the positive upbeat approach I see here.
So thank you to KA for the positive messages you are sending out to the viewers!!
Has there ever been outbreak before ?
No, This is the first one for Kitten Academy.
