Sir/madam, have you tried boiling your ceramic filter after you’ve got it clean? The one that I have, says in the instructions that it’s meant to be boiled. After it’s cleaned, then it goes into a sauce pan, and I usually put a silicone steaming dish underneath it, which water can pass easily through, and slowly bring it to a boil. Are usually just let it have a rolling boil for 10 minutes, and then just leave it in the pot on the stove to cool. Apparently it’s during that time that the adhesive holding the top on the unit can be vulnerable. But once it’s cool, it can come out and left to air dry before use. It’s an awesome little unit, but it’s not a passive unit. That’s what brought me here, looking to see if I could find a passive unit for household use, That could take a good scrubbing. There is a poplar unit on the market that people are buying for emergency use, but it only gets a few scrubbings before it doesn’t filter properly. My hope is to find a filter that can stand up to lots of scrubbing and occasional boiling. Any advice that you can offer either about a good durable and reliable filter that filters down to boat . one or .2 µm, and about whether they stand up to boiling. Thank you very kindly.
Okay, so I tried soaking my ceramic filter (faucet version) for 12 hours in a 50% water to 50% white vinegar solution... Sadly, I didn't observe any change to the ceramic filter. Maybe I'll try using calamondin (or calamansi) instead next time. What about shower filters, will this work on those too?
A quicker and easier way is to use a pressure washer to wash your filter candle. It will remove all clogged particles and restore the original state of the filter and color also. The filtration rate will be back to the original state. It won't wear off the surface as when you scrub and will allow you to use the filter for lifelong. I have tried and tested and made a video because I'm impressed with the results. ua-cam.com/video/HKjD-XsCoQI/v-deo.html (If you don't have a pressure washer at home, take the filter to an automotive service station and get it pressure washed from the outside)
The question thou is since the lemon water is still clear after the 12 hours of soaking the dirty filter, did it actually remove the dirt or simply bleached the dirt?
According to science, we know that salt and water are produced in the reaction of acid and alkali. So lemon water here is acid, and filter dirt is a kind of alkali. So acid + alkali = salt + water So even after the filter is clean you can't see any dirt in lemon water. Because salt and water are produced there. I hope you understand. Thanks.
Chlorination is the process of adding chlorine to drinking water to disinfect it and kill germs. Different processes can be used to achieve safe levels of chlorine in drinking water. I think you can use for the first time. But wash then properly using clean water.
my water candle smells like chlorine and even after using 2 or 3 days the smell in the water it is not fading away ...how to get rid off that smell??? it's is too pungent !

@@BestLearningCentre i know your video is good, and is non-destructive unlike sanding it with an 80 grit sandpaper, but it's rather expensive (lemons aren't cheap!) and also means we won't have the protection of a filter for 12 hours or so. Using sandpaper is quicker. However, I understand that we want to be able to keep using the filter as long as possible, as sanding it will degrade it and make it smaller over time, so if you can spend for lemons and you don't mind soaking it for 12 hours in lemon juice, it's the best way to do it. I think i'll try soaking it in white distilled vinegar as well (50-50 concentration) overnight and see if that will do the trick, as vinegar is cheaper than lemon juice but is safer than bleach.

Keep your water dispenser in a dark room or covered with a pillow case to prevent algae

I just used a green abrillo pad. 15 seconds and done
That would cause it to wear down over time. I think lemon/lime, method the filter will last indefinite.
Ceramic Candles Side effects in body. Yes or no
I don't know sir.
Can any filtration system filter be clean in this way or only the ceramic filter of a mineral pot filtering system can be clean using this method?
May be work by this process. I didn't check. You can check and tell me. Thanks.
OMG! I don't allow my filter ceramic dome to be as dirty like that. I wash it every week.

ceramic water candle does not remove chlorine, you need GAC or CTO carbon filter to remove chlorine.
put activated charcoal in your filter compartment

Slow means good filtration. That being the filter is clean/new.
If its slow it means its working.
