So glad I grew up in that era of hip hop. We had fun, we danced, we dressed up when we went to the clubs, we dressed down when we were hanging outside the clubs...it was an amazing time.

"if opposites attract, hun I'm on your side!" Yo I really never appreciated how nice this cat was. I love our music. the 90s really laid a strong foundation.
Different eras, different vibes... these guys had the 90's rockin to fat beats..... Now this is a new era, I still come back to the 90's b/c its just a great era of talented artists, mc's, beat makers, etc..... Nothing can compare..... Totally appreciate each era for what they contribute, but todays artists have lost lots of luster in their delivery!
this is way better than the album version. the one on the album was slower, the samples weren't as clear and I think the words were a little different. I've been looking for this version cause it's the one I remember it's also the one that came out on the radio that's why the album version sounds foreign.
I hated how after The Choice is Yours, all the Black Sheep singles had a different version on the video than what was on the album...regardless, still bought all the 12's.
+terrybrass I KNOW. I just stumbled across this and was like "THESE AREN'T THE RIGHT WORDS." I know the LP cut by heart. Still the video took me right back to high school!
The Choice Is Yours and Flavor Of The Month were awesome. Similak Child And Strobelite Honey were easily also my favourites on the LP and it's pretty shitty that they made a video for this version but oh well.
YO!!! When I was in high school people called me Jess and every time D-R~E~S said his name, I OBVY had to get creative n remix w J-e~s-s…. 😜😜😜💯💯💯🙏🏼🙏🏼 wolf and sheep clothing is like the Lords prayer to me. This duo were so goddamn creative it’s insane. Not only was their album phenomenal and 5 mic worthy, but for every single they released they cut a totally new mix of each track just for the singles and videos - one of which ended up becoming their biggest hit and one of the biggest rap songs ever at that point. And on top of the songs, the videos are insanely creative and entertaining too. I can’t believe they burned out so quickly, they had so much potential and ability. Truly miss these guys.
@S1ngefou I was in 8th grade when this song came out.BLACK SHEEP was very popular. And dont worry about when u was born. All my dad talked about was the 60's. And all I do is drive my kids crazy with early 90's hiphop. And when u get older all youll talk about is these days here. Lion king science,...circle of life.
i remember i couldnt sleep on school nights and if i stayed up long enough yo mtv raps would play this, whats the scenario, and positive k and a few other joints. id stay up long enough to hear it and pass out finally then miss school from being to fucking tired to go hahahaha i would miss like 40 days a year in gradeschool
A fantastic song about trying to ditch an ugly girl you accidentally hit on at a club. Their music was full of vulgarity, misogyny, and sexual references that I didn't understand until at least 10 years later. It was brilliant.
Somebody build a time machine so i can go back to the 90's 😭 where hip hop was actually performed by people with actual talent.

I live in Denver, Colorado and I love the fact that I have seen them twice and the same for acts like Digable Planets and Arrested Development.
29 years later. Still jams.

Black Sheep is underrated! Especially their second album.
I agree. I got to see them in New Orleans on their reunion tour and it was so much fun.
Rano!!gfa! a!
Their second album actually sold better but more people know AWISC better.
Non-Fiction didn't approach the sales of AWISC.
loved their first album. their 2nd was awful.

The Native Tongues: A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Jungle Brothers, Black Sheep, Queen Latifah, and Monie Love. Better together than anyone today.
See guys, hip hop was fun once. Remember that?
word, for me this is still the only real one
Vince Staples he's been flowing like this, making dance music. This sampling though is on a whole other level.
