Even if this video doesn't get any views because the movie isn't popular (it's a Polish one after all), I won't mind. It will be here just for me to rewatch as I might sometimes get in a mood to go back to their scenes and cry over them without having to see the whole movie. EDIT: The number of views is a surprise to me. Thank you all!
I recommend watching the movie to anyone who accidentally comes across this video. It's a Polish movie called Operation Hyacinth (Hiacynt) available on Netflix. For a Polish movie it is really interesting and heartbreaking. It shows the problem of homophobia in 80s in Poland, but as my stupid country is still very intolerant, this movie is quite modern in some way. I'm happy that they dared to create such a movie for such an audience.
I don't usually vid Polish fandoms. Well, I don't usually watch Polish movies and don't have Polish ships, but these two just stole my heart and I had to make a tribute for them.

They killed me. I can’t recover from these two. Everything was so good, the story, the chemistry, and the way they stare at each other… says everything. Such a shame this film is underrated. Your edit is a masterpiece!

As one of the Polish, i'm so proud that the film finally brings up lgbtq+ topic, i hope for more productions like this one and that Poland some day will be a free country

This is such a beautiful movie - interesting lighting and camera angles, a real sense of time and place and history in a country that Americans like me know little about. But the best part of the movie is the relationship between these two young men. I can't count how many times I have watched this movie or scenes from it since it hit Netflix. And, unlike some others, I see it as a tragedy, but one where love ultimately wins out over hatred. Thanks for the video.
Who else wanted to know about what will happen next? Will Robert keep his job? Will they meet again? I wish they will have more. Their first kiss isn’t the most romantic but the surprise on Robert face is priceless.
I am not sure since Robert signed the homosexual disclosure but yet his father is also very important in the service force. I would like to think the reason he stayed was because he knows his father would keep him out of prison. But yet his father had a hand in sending the person to kill Arek so Robert has killed his hit man. So corrupt and gross it’s so terrible to think it was anything like this for lgbt In Poland then.
I have to think for robert that was his penance. Hes lied and disappointed himself and everyone right? so he thinks if he can save arek at his expense it just easier than having to relearn everything about himself and he gets a bit of a redemption arc, and its 80's poland and hes a lying character we knew it wouldnt end well lol
most painfull sentences in the movie: "How many bedpartners have you had?" "Just one upto now" 😭😭

I can't find the words. What a heavenly chemistry, what a great song choice!! :) It's incredible how these two have mesmerised me, and I don't even know them. I definitely will watch the movie.

I love this movie so much, i don't know how to even describe how beautiful it is and how much more love it deserves. This is my comfort movie, although it makes me cry.
wooo końcu rewelacyjny klip z hiacynta, szkoda że Netflix tak słabo promuje ten film, Polski to coś tam (słabo) ale wspomniał ale główny nic, wielka szkoda :(
Hubert Miłkowski ma zaledwie 22 lata a jaki talent!! w następnym roku aż 2 nowe jego filmy, mam nadzieję że będzie bardziej doceniany!
Cieszę się, że się podobał! Zdecydowanie się zgadzam, ten film zasługuje na większy rozgłos. Hubert był niesamowity i mam nadzieję, że zyska popularność i w kraju i za granicą.

On dopiero zaczyna. Większość rozpoczyna karierę dopiero po szkole teatralnej, a on jest w trakcie i już ma dwie duże role - główna w serialu dla Netflixa i ten film. Na bycie docenionym ma jeszcze spokojnie czas. Czasem lepiej na ten sukces, bycie zauważonym dłużej zapracować, bo sodówka do głowy nie uderza.

Jestem totalnie zakochana w tym filmie, a jeszcze bardziej w relacji łączącej Roberta i Arka. Nie będę oryginalna, ale muszę to napisać. Boże, jaka niesamowita chemia jest między nimi, aż ciarki przechodzą! Ilekroć oglądam ich wspólne sceny, wzruszam się za każdym razem.
Wspaniałe jest to, że tak znakomity i ważny film powstał w tym okropnym, homofobicznym kraju. To jedna z nielicznych chwil, w których czuję dumę z bycia Polką.
Zgadzam się w 100%!

It is actually a very good movie. Regardless of the lbgtq theme, the overall storyline and the period it captures is on point.

Trochę brakuje mi przetłumaczenia „Zostań”. Ten ważny moment w ich relacji - zwłaszcza ze to był praktycznie początek ich znajomosci. To tylko pokazuje ile odwagi i luzu miał w sobie Arek. Poza tym super, aż szkoda ze tak mało jest fanmade video o Hiacyncie.
Jest przetłumaczone jako "stay", może nie rzuca się w oczy, bo to tylko jedno słowo

That was the last scene of the movie and the police was coming for them so most likely they didn't reunite 😔
Caroline Buzolic well, I believe arek will be accused of murder. Robert will be safe for sure.
Since it's the last scene, we can make up our own ending. I think even Robert's own father won't be able to protect him now, after killing the security service's thug. I think he knows that and is willing to sacrifice himself to give Arek a chance to get away and leave Poland, as was Arek's dream all through the movie.

@@angelacevedo8824 Ja bym raczej obstawiała że Arek zdążył uciec i sie ukryć więc nikt nie będzie go podejrzewał o współudział w zbrodni.Co się zaś tyczy Roberta no cóż wszystko świadczy przeciw niemu.Trup w wodzie, krew na nim (ubranie i ciało Roberta było w pewnym sensie we krwi) do tego tylko jego tam znaleziono więc był głównym i miejmy nadzieję jedynym podejrzanym.Lecz spokojnie wydaje mi się też że dzięki ojcu nie założą mu tak zwanej różowej teczki (Każdy podejrzany o bycie gejem miał taką) i dadzą mu najmniejszy wyrok za zabójstwo,który odsiedzi i wyjdzie po czasie.Niestety nigdy już nie spodka Arka,który możliwe że opuscil kraj by żyć swobodnie gdzie indziej ,tak by poświęcenie Roberta nie poszło na marne.Bodobrze zdaje sobie sprawę że ten się dla niego poświęcił. Ja tak to widzę.

I'm a polish. In 1988 homosexuality was a crime (PRL by Wojciech Jaruzelski). They beat LGBT and even killed. It was times when ourw loves was hard. Now is getting better. I think. Freedom for Polish LGBTQIA+!!! 💔😢♥️
