For those of us who have formally studied Arabic, it is unbelievable the breadth of knowledge that Ibrahim is GIVING his audience. Trust me, if ALL you do is study this channel, he will make you fluent, but you have to work hard too.

I actually like that the English audio here is minimal (but that we can always check the translation by looking at the screen.) I listen to this while I work on other things and if I don't know a word, I go back to the screen with the video going to check. Love this.

  • @lexismore

I actually find this really helpful as an immersive experience for a complete beginner. Not living in an Arabic-speaking country.
I'll share my method in case it clicks with anyone - I'll listen through once, pausing to write down my (transliterated, by ear) Franco-Arabic versions. Now that I know there *are* English translations typed on each screen (very small and not full resolution) I plan to go back and translate as many of them as I can make out.
This is not by any means a way to go about mastering a core group of vocabulary lists. However, as an entry point I find it uniquely valuable.

It's a pity you didn't say outloud the equivalences in English, it would have been great to listen to over and over while doing chore, while taking a bath, on the go or before going to sleep.

This is amazing. My father is a refugee from Palestine but he married my American mother. As he was trying to learn English he tried not to speak Arabic to us. So I didn't catch on as a kid. I have been studying and trying to become fluent. This is really helpful. Do you happen to give one on one or group lessons as well ?
