I don't think these people are trying to replace the original song by Ray Parker Jr. It seems to me they are having a fun time playing a version of a well known song for the enjoyment of the audience. And it seems to me the audience enjoyed it, so mission accomplished.

I would say they butchered the song but thats an understatement so the more accurate would be they took the song made friends with it then betrayed it stabbed it in the back chained it up and tortured it explaining the terrible remixed music in the background, they then dropped an anvil on it beat it with a sledgehammer cut it into it's prime tender cuts of meat then cooked then all Well-done because no one else should ever cook meat well-done so it was dry tough because again well-done meat is aweful and if anyone ever asks me to cook it I will jus put leather on a plate, they then ate it with vigar as to not savor the little flavor left in the well-done meat shat it out fed the shit to pigs who shat the shit out then performing that shit live on stage with a shitty set and bad costumes with cringey as fuck dancing. No somehow still an understatement.
