Beware the barrage balloons! Looks like AI becomes suicidal when Marcom is around, or maybe Marcom is the maneuver kill ace? However he definitely is 7.92mm proof. I finally got some new hardware and tried to record in 60fps instead of the usual 30. I think the result is not perfect, but it is an improvement. What do you think? Marcom, Christ Oldboy. RTB, you have no idea how many times I'm screaming this at my phone, watching the glorious engagement over the channel. 19:17 Jerry has your line
This dude Marcom has got a charmed life hahahah... Btw I feel the outcome of the dogfight would have been somewhat more favorable to the rest of the guys had they used intensively the natural advantage of the spitfire on outturning the stukas, specially while playing defensive.... In the end, amazing video and mission, fishyy!!🔥💪🏻 Greetings from Panama!
Oh my, this looks sooo much better in 60fps... *drool* And Marcom brought the hilarity with his maneuver kills! Respect to him for surviving that long against multiple 109's with an engine that's slowly dying! That being said, it's really interesting to see the AI for the Bf 109 actually using the 109's rapid response to throttle changes so well when they are still up high. So many forced overshoots... one got Momo killed by the waiting AI wingman. I'm actually impressed with the AI right now, even though they "grounded" themselves quite a bit. I can't recall any IL-2 AI that does well when dogfighting near the deck. Just a fan idea here, but how about a scenario during the "Butcher Bird" years? Spitfire Mk.V fighter sweeps engaging Fw 190's. I think that would make for nice recording material, lets see how much of a butcher the Fw 190A-2/3/4's actually are in the simulation. Although I'd prefer if you guys flew the 190's... the AI doesn't have the best track record with them. :-/
This was ace, thanks for making it. Shame for Tony, but kinda nice to see it's not just me that gets my engine lit up by a single bullet! It's a fun scenario, but the the superior Luftwaffe armament can be frustrating sometimes. Well flown as always guys. :)
Thank god they added cannons into the later Marks. Spittys certainly seem to be able to take some punishment though. Look at that big cannon hole in the starboard wing! I was amazed both wheels came down!
@@thebollock9427 The early Spit flies beautifully, but the .303s are not easy to inflict damage with. But once you learn and go to a plane with big guns, you'll fairly get the shot fast. With regards to them taking punishment, it's weird, sometimes you can take hundreds of rounds (like Marcom here) and sometimes, the first shot takes out your elevator, rudder, ailerons or engine (often one bullet to the engine sends the revs haywire, which quickly kills it if you don't act quickly).
@@TheProf62 I think that's why Spitfire pilots would wait until they could see 'the whites of their eyes' before opening fire. Unlike the distant speculative shots we see in this video.
@@thebollock9427 Yeah, it makes a huge difference getting close. Those machine guns can chew up an engine if you converge them at a short distance, but they're little more than a warning that you're on someone's six if you fire them from too much range. Making sure to get a good deflection shot on a 109 matters too, all the vulnerable bits are in the middle.
Ah, I see they fixed the little glitch of the Merlin engine in this game: the RR Merlin engine was not capable of steep dives, because of the carburettor design made the engine cut off at negative G's. This problem was fixed months later with the application of Miss Shilling's Orifice (please google).
Very good episode. The action seems more intense flying for the British side ... Marcom was vaccineted from enemy bullets🤣 . Seriously now he is very good avoiding shots from behind.
Very fine video! I enjoyed it from start to end! What? 45 minutes? I thought it lasted 15! Fine mission too, and Marcom's two maneuvering kills were great! The only irritating thing is stuka's rear gunners...what's the use of escort fighters when a 7,92 is surely bound to destroy your fighter with a few bullets at 300 yds, even when you position correctly for the attack behind and below your "target"? Tony must be pistoff!!!
I got no idea what you are talking about, since I don't have anything to do with the making of this 3d model. I can give you the needed software to change 3d models for this game, though. You are welcome to adjust anything you want. Be prepared for people nit picking your stuff, if you get the tiniest minute detail wrong.
how do I download IL-2 1946 with these graphics? I have been trying to play with these graphic qualities for a while now and so far I have not been able to , thank you and I really liked the Squad ( I am Brazilian )
Can someone help me on how to download mods for il 2 1946, i just got the game and want to improve the visuals more importantly, whats the procedure? Please.
The name of the game is in the video title, the thumbnail, the video description and UA-cam states it under the description, while showing its DVD cover. HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW?

Great video Fishyyy, loved the action! Congrats on new format, hardly noticed the fps discrepancies.
the real test will be how well it records your night missions. great vid as always!
Nice vid!, any chance you could make a quick tutorial vid on how to download even some of your mods please? Im new to this

Very exciting Battle over the English Channel. Well done Boys! The final 2 vs 2 dogfight Is Epic!
dude, Marcom was having trouble from the very beginning, yet survived, I find that awesome and funny.

Crashing into the Stuka that got a lucky shot on your engine is a mood
Assume Marcom handed in his lottery ticket once he RTB....this was definately his lucky day..
"inside England I dunno" hahaha I like the Marcom guy.
You guys are the best Il-2 community on the web! Thank you for posting an awesome video. Wish I could join :D
Great flying from Marcom!
Thank you, this video is great! It's a pleasure to see this video and listening Iron Maiden's Aces High at the same time!
The map is really impressive for 1946. Mods seem to make a huge difference.

Great video! Very dramatic at the end!
Marcom's full throttle torque on take off reminds me of a wheelie with a motorbike!
Thank you to fishyyy and the rest of the flight for giving us this fantastic content. I Love the upgraded Battle of Britan videos.

I think we recently did that early 190 vs Spit V scenario with the Channel Dash :)
I was a Halifax, though.
Guns sound awesome can hear the detail of the rattle and movement of the guns.
Apparently the spits .303s used to sound like someone ripping a sheet in half
@@thebollock9427 Yeah, they had 8 guns each firing at like 1,300 rounds a minute. I bet it was intense

I think Marcom had THE IL-2 EXPERIENCE.
I mean he took a good 1000 7.92mm Mauser and 20mm rounds and flew until the very end
Marcom got lucky. Took a bunch of bullets and still flew back.
Pasta bias xd
Loving the Sound Effects of the Spits guns
😂The Canadian doesn't close the canopy, wants to smell the enemy.
How Marcom earned his place as the thumbnail of the video.
I had to watch it again today, would you kindly work with the finish brewster buffalo's on a record? Or Spanish civil war on DE

Epic dogfight, great co-operation
Love it :)
That was hot !!
very good video; maybe you can tell me how to modify your mission to have it not coop but for single player ?
How did you get the map of Great Britain, I can't find it anywhere. And does it need mods to work?
EXCELENTE FELICITO A LOS PILOTOS DE LOS SPITFIRE BUENA PUNTERIA AMETRALLADORAS . 50 BROWNING
Early Spitfires used .303s.
I love those early bull nose 109's. I see the Spits got fuel injection? No embarrassing konk outs while inverted or push over?
The Spitfires in this video do not have fuel injection and the engines do often begin to cut our during the video.
Can you do more (landing damaged bombers and fighter's ) please I really enjoyed it thanks for the amazing videos
Great stuff.. but what’s with the wing blisters? Too close inboard to even be MkIb cannon (removed) blisters…

Marcom was getting bullied
They were angry at him for the double kill without shooting a single bullet!!!
The spicks holding the runway position markers are a bit over done. Be hell on the tires if you hit one.
how do I download IL-2 1946 with these graphics?
I have been trying to play with these graphic qualities for a while now and so far I have not been able to , thank you and I really liked the Squad ( I am Brazilian )

All five pilots in this video use a joystick.
