Hey Exobob, im actually in a quite similar boat to you. Im trying to go pro (Danish scene so yey), and I just wanna come with one thing. U have very clean mechanics, and ur ability to lock ur crosshair is very good. Im giving u this tip cause it helped me and I think it can help you. at 5:30 while swining door and hut, you hold the angle EXTREMELY tight. Give yourself some room and time to react. You have really good microflicks, but you force yourself to flick when you hold angles like that. Its super good to peek and angle like that if you dont think you'll get peeked, but if they swing (wide) its a really hard shot. Just something to think about.
Also what I do alot is I just load up pro FACEIT demos. Alot of Twistzz, Donk, Yekindar and Xantares for me.
Yeah this is a habit of mine I need to stretch out my angle holding here and there for sure..
exobob you inspire me very much, i am currently 17 and am trying to do the same thing you do and you really do motivate me when im in a slump or just dont feel like playing and give me more and more ideas to implement into my own game to keep improving!!!

been playing since i was 12 and watching your own demos and just pro matches helped me the most with "game sense" just learning timings and most popular ways people rotate things like that
just starting to rewatch my games as my number 1 focus, its awfully insightful... wish i had done it sooner
I have a friend who wanted to be a pro and he was lvl 10 faceit. Played for some semipro team and ended his career. Long as you enjoy the game you will make it in my opinion

That's very often not the case. Everyone has a skill ceiling they can achieve and when you reach it you are unable to progress beyond it.
The things you said about yourself sound similar to me when I was around your level. I now have around 8000 hours cs playtime and I got to 3k elo (rn I am at 2.8k).
Here are a few things that helped me and hopefully help you as well:
1. Before watching a demo write down a few things you want to focus on
2. Have gimmick plays. There is nothing wrong with being a good anchor, but you basicly let everyone else on the server dictade the flow of the game. By being more aggressive and having gimmicky plays you for one, set the pace of the game yourself and for two, you somewhat stay in your comfort zone, because you will know what you're doing and how the enemy can react to your plays. You have the mechanics so make the most of it and be a bit more aggressive! I can give you examples if you want :)
3. Awareness. Just try to remember, if noone was there to hold a position, then there is a possibility of an enemy being there! For example the mirage game you streamed 2 days prior.The last round of the first half your teammate was ct and noone was holding the stairs/jungle area.

Underrated part about this aswell is conditioning. If your AFK on Anubis A site, they wont feel like they have to hold it. Honestly I like to just call for my awper to come with me and I take a popshot, run back and if they peek me they get awped. Anchoring is alot about having PRESSURE. One of the reasons why people hate B anchor on Mirage is cause its so hard to have pressure and the defense on the site in itself is super strong.

If you want to understand the chess aspect of cs better, watch pro matches and think about it in this way. Watch how the CT side will react to the T side taking a piece of map control, or vice versa. Take Nuke for example. Watch how once the outside player sees that a team is trying to take secret control (outside smokes), watch how the mini / A player will drop down the vent and move into a position where they can spot players, and then safely drop a smoke to delay the T's bid for lower control. It's all just a game of information. It's all about map control. As you get more comfortable understanding how the CT rotations work, and how they prevent threats each step of the way, you can start to understand how a T side is called. A T side is designed to take map control and PULL rotations. You're trying to isolate players and take advantaged duels. The further you get in understanding the general picture, the more you can get into the minutia of things and start to see how and why a very specific flash is meta and thrown by every team etc.

If you’re solo queueing a lot this makes faceit 10x harder - I’m at 2.1k elo and do a lot of solo queueing which is completely random team mate wise.
When I’m on a losing streak I try to enjoy cs more rather than trying to win more
