Back then, my mom would record this show's songs from the tv on her phone. I was a total fan and she supported me all the way. Now's the 2nd anniversary of her death and i miss her so much. We bonded so much from this. I wish she was still here.

Was in middle school when I first saw this and didn't understand Japanese at all. Now I'm a professional translator among other things working in the anime/video game industry in Japan, and am friends with some of the people who were actually in Mermaid Melody.
Never would have thought my life would come this far 13 years ago.
Will they have another season? Or even a spin off? WE. BADLY. NEED. ONE.

One thing I have noticed about mermaid melody songs is that they have the same pattern first it will be some music then the first stanza of the song then some music then the second stanza of the song then some music and then the third stanza consists of lines from both of the stanzas which are the first one and the second one then in the ending some music and the song ends

That is a fairly standard song formula. Verses and Choruses and a Bridge. That's how it works.

I am 15 yo boy and watched this when I was like 8-9. In 2019 I started secondary school and I met some friends who also watched Mermaid Melody and we tried to remember songs and others... So I came here to check if I forgot something that I really liked when I was a child. I really didn't. The best anime by far.

This anime has changed me, I'm currently 14, this is my childhood anime. Definitely has made me more feminine as a kid, I'm very much a boy and show a lot of traits which is considered boy like, but I like feminine traits it's awesome. Being all cute and stuff, this anime shaped me. I would not be who I am right now if I've never seen this, I might've not even had this much love for music.
