    I have the 2017 Model like yours, purchased in December 2016. .Had the same issue with the rod holders and screws, put stainless screws and adhesive caulk and no more problems.
    Very happy with the Mercury 60 35 mph and fuel efficient. I do wish I didn’t have the live well could use the room for other things like spare tank.
    It looks like they improved the trailer on your model, When launching the lip of the bow gets hung up on roller and takes a little more effort to launch.
    Just like you I have no regrets on my purchase. Keep posting the videos of Dania, Hollywood and Haulover I moved from there 30 years ago and miss it. Live on the west coast now in Homosassa, Citrus County.
    Big time scalloping area season going on now.

    I have the 15 gallon tank from bass pro and it actually fits in the same spot you just have to move the cooler over and it slides in. Also I have the tank strapped down so I can just pull up to a station and fill it up. Gas lasts 2 long trips or 4 runabouts. Also you can run full speed longer and not ever worry about gas.

    I have been seriously considering buying this model boat. I would like to see Mako put the rod holders in the back deck and along the gunwales. It seems they would not work in the console. A Bimini top would be great but not with the rods in the console. I wish you the best of luck bro.

    Look into upgrading steering to hydraulic. Cable steering will fail eventually also it’s annoying having to correct steering due to engine thrust. I installed on mine and so far it has been the best $500 spent.

    I have the same boat. The drain area where the bilge pump is. The channel that the wiring goes through is the lowest point on the boat, water pools in that channel so all your wiring is sitting in water the whole time. There is no way to drain it out. I can't believe that design. I have to get a manual pump to get the water out after I wash the boat. Would like to know what you are doing with that issue.

    • @WeekendPirate
      @WeekendPirate  5 років тому

      You would love it. I think there is a payment calculator on the Mako website. I can’t really say what the payments would be. It depends on how good your credit is, interest rate, loan length, and size of the down payment you make.

    I've been following you and your lovely wife since you got the Gheenoe. I own an LT25 and a 13. I'm on the C-1n canal in Cutler Bay. Thinking about stepping up to a bigger boat, and that '19 Mako you exposed to us early looked real good to me. Seems like it's a significant upgrade from your '18. Any thoughts you might trade in?

    • @WeekendPirate
      @WeekendPirate  6 років тому +1

      No plans to trade in I love my boat. But if I was to go through the hassle of trading in I would probably trade in for the mako pro skiff 19 with the 115hp a small upgrade in size and speed. Lol

    • @fulanito410

      That gets into the "medium boat" category. Too big for the flats, too small for the open water unless the day is perfect. That 17' seems right to me. I really liked that incoming model. Let's see. Keep up the vids, and if you ever want to come down and fish in Cutler Bay...
