Bobby you should get an OBD scanner if you haven't done already
Bobby, I know a guy selling a Hennessy Mammoth 900 TRX for $99,000... it's in Florida.
What the heck bro?! I'm thankful my trailbox is still going, but it did take a new valve body in the transmission at approximately thirty thousand miles
my father always says, if your chevy does not have a check engine light, somthing is wrong with it. if it does have a check engine light on its working just fine.
I work for gm. That's just all low voltage codes. When your battery dies it will throw a million codes. Your looking for active codes. Not history.
Have you delt with leaf spring clunking from these trucks, mime sounded like garbage at 6000km. Leaf spring slapping eachother at low-speed bumps
Dude! maybe if you stopped hammering down on the gas pedal while doing donuts in a field and driving through mud holes at 40 miles an hour your trucks would give you better service. No trucks no matter what brand will stand up the that kind of abuse without giving you trouble. I have a 2018 Colorado ZR2 that I drive off-road all the time and I’ve had no trouble in 5 years.
Check Engine Light at 5800 miles here after a startup hesitation. Went away after driving for a bit. Now at 6568 after my first service. No lights and running good 👍 I probably had the same thing you had low voltage codes.
Bang - I am having troubles with my 23' ZR2 as well. Stupid that it doesn't read codes from the vehicle status, I thought the same thing! Lots of fit/finish issues. Rear windows don't roll down most times. Tailgate storage doesn't stay latched. CEL on for 0299, but JB4 Map 1 installed. Front fender snaps aren't staying clipped in. Oh, and a super annoying rattle coming from the shifter... sounds like a maraca. Cheers!
I have a 2023 white ZR2 that I absolutely love ,but I am having issues with blind spot, and window switches not working on the drivers door. I am currently waiting for a new window switch and BCM to be replaced. I’m hoping that will fix it for good. I love the truck and don’t want to end up getting rid of it due to electrical problems that never go away. 13:59
Well done supervisor Bobby. 🅰️. Stay on this issue like told ya. ❤. Shoutout Matt’s team at whitmoyer. And the goat Matt.
Might be due to a OTA software update, the update doesn't complete and drains the battery. Talk to your dealer about this issue. Might need to charge the battery and pull the battery cable to reset the diagnostics. That could do the trick.
That happened to mine they updated it , and no more problems 🤞
This is exactly the problem.
My 23 ZR2 also lost communication to the cross traffic and back up warning. Came back next start up. Other than that the truck has been alot of fun. Just under 1K on it as of writing. I hope all goes well for you man!
Another great RF Racing video!!! Thanks Bobby!
Definitely seems like a voltage issue. Usually happens to German vehicles when the battery is going. Surprised to see something like that on a GM product. Might be all the new tech
Yet another reason why I'll be going for the new Tacoma TRD Pro instead
LOL
The new gen will have issues.
There is a TB for the passenger door plug and check every fuse as they are all not seated
Some trails aren't meant for off the shelf trucks..get a side by side or atv for the hard stuff va busting up your zr2
I kinda dig the blue Yellow combo ngl
I have a feeling that it has to do with all the deep water you went through. I bet some water got into some module and caused it to freak out. Now that it dried out it's probably ok.
You mean that it was caused by doing what the vehicle is advertised to do?
@@johnstrand2247 I have yet to see an advertisement for this truck that shows a ZR2 diving into a water hole and creating a bow wave nearly reaching the top of the grille. Diving into water holes at a high enough speed for that to happen is always risky because the water can reach a lot higher than normal. The splash he made was taller than the top of the cab. He's lucky he didn't suck water into the intake. Jeep made the mistake of showing the Wrangler diving into water holes at high speed like that and customers were destroying their brand new Wranglers when they decided to mimic the commercials.... a big wave hits the front of the Jeep and the engine ends up hydrolocked. He also needs to prep the truck more if he's going to be fording water. Even Jeep owners have to do prep on the electrical connectors to prevent water getting into electrical connectors and the differential vent tubes. Taco guys as well.
My engine light came on once and i push the onstar button and they connected me to diagnostics and scanned truck wifi and email me the codes instantly pretty neat and the next time i started it lights been off ever since
if you rent your house be very careful who you rent to. go see where they now live and do a interview with them not knowing you are coming and you will see how they actually take care of a house, because some renters will trash your home and they have no money to get even if you do get a judgement against them. Personally, I would sell it because right now prices are still fairly high but interest rates are up so it may take a little time to sell .
It’s not hard to screen tenants.
I have never had to screen anyone, but I have seen on court shows where people trash places out. if their head liner in their vehicle is hanging down you might not want to rent to them LOL@@Willyfree777
A friend of mine bought a 23 Colorado. Awesome truck. Except the windows will roll down whenever they want to. He was in a restaurant and the windows decided to roll down. Bad thing was it was raining. The dealer say it’s a computer thing that the update will hopefully fix.
Sounds like my old Impala. Trunk would pop open whenever it felt like it
Same here. My hood flys open all the time.
Basically seems like there's just too much tech these days
Just clear all the codes for now see if it comes back on then scan it again that looks like a battery voltage issue that’s normal for the codes to pop up in that situation
Gotta love those chevys
It was probably due to an over-the-air software update to the truck. That being said, if you dive into water holes and generate a tall wave of water that hits the engine bay, you are always putting the truck at risk of hydro-locking or shorting things out. You also need to prep the truck more if you're going to be fording water. Even Jeep owners have to do prep on the electrical connectors to prevent water getting into electrical connectors and the differential vent tubes. The owners manual may tell you what depth of water the truck was designed to handle.
i have read that people who have taken these trucks through the touchless car wash the water pressure dents the roof.
Most new vehicles bring up random codes like that when you scan them. It’s just because new vehicles have such tight tolerances for electronics so if anything is a tiny bitty off for a second it will cause this type of stuff.
Kia niro hybrid
I have a 23 Colorado TB and have 19XXX trouble free miles. Only issue I have had is with the Bluetooth.
i have my zr2 colorado 2023 with 5k miles and have had 0 problems
That to bad no problem here waiting on my 24 ZR2 Bison,,,,,
Those new mods are going to be a BANG!
I had my 2020 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 For three years and 8,4447 Miles on it it’s no problem
Always like your videos Bobby I am 64 retired from ups you and your buddy Mike 717 and can’t forget about neighbor Rich awesome very entertaining and I actually learn from you young guys keep up the good work your viewer MikePierce Lexington Kentucky
Happy thanksgiving 🦃
had nothing but problems with my Z71. I was part of the battery drain problems. In the shop 5 times in 5 months. It had to go. Just traded it for a 24 Wrangler.
It sounds like body control module. I had the same thing with my TRX.
I'd love to see a built Taco, I'd love to do one someday myself. You know. Just in case this one doesn't work out
I beat both of my Tacos ive had and neither have had any issues.
Tacomas are reliable af and have the highest resale
All those faults sound like low voltage. If it’s low the control units can’t properly self diagnose connections and just start throwing faults. Glad you censored penetrating your food, thank you. Bang!
Owner of a 22 Camaro SS1le and a 21 suburban here.
The Camaro left me stranded when it had 5k miles, bad battery.
Suburban did the same fortunately it died on my driveway. Bad battery at 11k miles. Besides this they have both been solid vehicles. If you purchase a new Chevy I would recommend you replace the battery ASAP.
My Canyon AT4 is at the dealer for 3 weeks now for a dead infotainment computer, so NO screen is working, no radio, nothing. And the thing is B/O with no availability date.
Andre from TFL had same problem
My experience with the 2023 Colorado ZR2 is essentially flawless. Have taken it aggressively off-road, on the highway and it is SOLID. I suspect many of the quality comments below are TACO Trolls LOL
That’s the same exact thing I was told. It will be fixed with the software update… blah blah blah. Mine is is still in the shop after a month. GM said, “we don’t have a fix yet but we are working on it” which in GM language means go f*** yourself and deal with it. Lol
Keep buying those Chevys!!!
Idk man. I’d lay low on the Factor. Heard some sketchy things about how it’s made. As far as the ZR2 goes it’s newer junk that can’t handle the abuse of off-roading like the older OBS trucks. You be better off building up your Yukon.
I can tell you my car runs over 14 volts when it’s running so looks to be an battery issue
Nice truck. Bang
Thanks for sharing
hit onstar to scan for engine light.
I thinking getting Colorado or trailblazer equinox
Bang! thinking about trading my LT trail boss in for a Colorado ZR2.
It most be detecting Karen. 😂
how much of a lift will you need to put those super swappers ?
No lift
Bang!!!!!!
It just means that the battery connection came loose for a split second and thats it. The rest of the codes will clear out. Relax Bobby
I have a 2023 ZR2. Waiting three months for a new steering rack .
GM is junk and can't get parts to fix it !
Been a GM customer gor 25 years , but no more !
I placed my order for a Toyota tundra , 18 to 24 months delivery.
I am seeing so many problems with this junk that I'm becoming glad that dealers near me never have one on the lot anyway.
I'm not one to tell someone what to do with their money, but if chevy is giving you problems why keep going back to them, second everyone knows at this point any modifications to your vehicles is going to bring problems eventually
I had my 2023 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 for 3 months and 20,000
miles on it with no problems
You drove 20,000 miles in 3 months?
yeah because I've been doing so much road trips with it
How many miles does it have Now
Check fuses and “gas cap”
Yup
No gas cap
@@Samman1231 I know that why I put “
what is it called then? Lol
Silence is Golden
Funny... that doesn't look like any "heads up display" I've ever seen!?
another banger video
the news is on so it will be a few min before I can watch it, but your tag line tells me you are most likely having issues like lots of others are having on the 23 zr2s. there are a lot of videos out there of the problems.
check your fuses
BANG!!!
Like 65 we got a long way to go Bobby can we do it guys/gals?
BANG!
After seeing all the videos on your Silverado ZR2 I think I would pass on it ✌️
Bang!!!
If that "scanner" is worth a shit you can clear codes should be fine and start it see if they come back
I think because of loose fuses you are getting all those faults
Yep, press on all those fuses.
Bang!
Well... I wanted a trailboss... but I keeps seeing issues... soooo nissan frontier pro4x it is.
Love that wrap man
BANG
I have zero issues with my 2023 Silverado 1500. Mabe stop driving so hard
lots of guys have had their battery's go dead over night.
didn't you flood it out Oh not your battery others have said you need to check all your fuses they were all loose on several guys trucks so press in every one of your fuses
Lol getting a CEL at only 2,300 miles would not give me any confidence for it's long term reliability.
You take your truck off-road and treat it the way you treat yours, you're going to have problems! Not saying that this is the problem you're having but if you don't want your truck to break quit treating it the way you treat it! It wasn't Even broke in And you're beating on it! What did you expect? Maybe you should take this as a sign seeing how this is the second one that's breaking down on you! If you want to go off road buy a dedicated truck and build it for that purpose this truck was not built for what you're doing!
Bang
Bang.
You think it has to do hitting a knee deep mud hole at 30mph 🤔
Bang bing bom boom
Bang¡!
Came here from instagram…
Go with your yukon 😂😂
Bang bang 🔫🔫
You are officially the Chevy drama queen!
bang
Oh My Gosh... Is rich alright?
Ded
@@RFRacing717 I was tired watching the video so thought you were being serious 🤣😭
Hello ever heard the term ( first year model issues)? See this is why you don't buy 1st year model vehicle's unless of course you want to be a Guinea pig. This is why you wait till the 2nd or 3rd year. And for those of you who say buy a Honda or Toyota as there more reliable. Let me pop your little Bubble. In 2007 when the Toyota tundra was redesign they had some issues. In fact there was a recall for that model year tundra equip with the 5.7 L V8. As the cam shafts were having issues. Now the 2014 through 21 models didn't have any issues. However the bones of that truck were still the same as the 07 thru 13 models just with different front-end and back-end and a different interior still the same truck though. Also let's not forget the 22 model tundra and wastegate on the turbo issue. So it goes to show you that no matter what brand you buy they're going to have issues. So stop the brand loyalty shit. Nowadays they're all build the same.
no one cares bro
Same story with every truck, not sure why you expect a different outcome
Bang chevrolet zr2
Nothing but problems with the new chevy colorados; I have owned 2018, 2020 and 2022 colorado zr2 all of them had issues
same thing here. 2019 Colorado zr2 with zero issues. ordered a new 2023 zr2 but will not be taking delivery with these issues@@2011buddylee also, i ordered it 5 months ago with no word from GM on any delivery. Just keep my current truck, whatever
It’s probably your gas cap 😂
These trucks don’t have gas caps
And GM wants to go Electric.
Bobby get yourself a Tacoma TRD pro or the new Trailhunter when it comes out and do yourself a favor. GM's vehicles have gone to shit except for maybe the Corvette and camaro
Boring
Is your Colorado 2023 or 2024?
I think 23
All these issues are Bogus.
BG
We told you don't buy Chevy for a reason 😂
