When the first baby is born to a sibling it’s a huge feeling. Seeing the generation continuing feels like something really primal and beautiful. Not to mention the waves of emotions of seeing your parents become grandparents for the first time it’s just adorable to witness. I can imagine how much love and joy is surrounding your little niece in your family. Cycle of life ☀️

I have had a Bread Machine for 30 odd years years. They are so good. Pizza dough , brilliant. Fruit buns ( hot cross buns ) super good. Everyday bread just so easy. Just bung the ingredients in and switch on , 4 hours later, a perfect loaf. 👍🏻

I love being an auntie! All my 3 siblings are married and have procreated ( my youngest sister is due with a girl in early June) and 2 of my cousins also have children, and apparently they count as my nieces and nephews too! I work in childcare, so love finding the perfect age-appropriate gift to help them master a particular skill ( so 6 months I get them a plate, cup, spoon and bib with a lip at the bottom and/or sleeves to start weaning, a pull-along toy when they start to walk, black and white contrast cards when they’re born, plus lots and lots of books, in French for the ones in the UK and in English for the one who lives in France. Also clothes, games and craft/art supplies too. It is so much fun to hunt for items as I choose an animal theme for each of them and so am always on the lookout for something they would like that has that animal on it.
Just a tip for the G7X! You can connect an external microphone to the camera which will bypass the bad built-in microphone 🙌🏼 The Røde "wireless go" system is really nice and simple to setup! It has a little receiver you plug in, and a clip-on mic you can wear. Could also be fun for main channel videos or situations where you may want more high-quality audio.
I bake bread using a breadmaker all the time now, with only a smidge of yeast, but delayed baking to give ut a good fermentation. It really does wonders for the flavour and also texture, I feel!

Every time I watch one of your videos I immediately feel an urgent need to make brownies. You should come with a dietary temptation warning... Now you need to make a new video so we can see how the new camera performs! Update: I made brownies but there was an... incident... in the process. I had all the dry ingredients in a bowl, including cocoa powder, and the oil and the last step is to add two eggs. The first one broke in half when I cracked it on the edge of the bowl and half the eggshell fell into the brownie mix. So I picked it out, naturally, then immediately reached into the egg carton for the second egg. Of course, my fingers were covered with rich gooey brownie mix and it got onto the eggs and the egg carton and just then my wife steps into the kitchen and stops dead in her tracks. She's staring at the egg carton. "Michael!" She exclaims in horror. "What did you DO?" My name is Michael but everyone calls me Mike. Starting with my sainted mother, if I hear "Michael" then I know I'm in trouble. "It's brownie mix," I explain. I have the egg carton in the sink, trying to wash the brown off. It's gooey and just kind of sliding off in a motion very reminiscent of Grace's swamp water bath and appearing almost as appetizing. "There was a problem --" Sandy shakes her head and walks away. I'm pretty sure I get to ear all these brownies myself. And don't even ask about the accident loading peppercorns into the pepper grinder. Thousands of little ball bearing like objects, falling off the kitchen counter and rolling merrily across the floor where my little puppy suddenly gets fascinated... She's no longer speaking to me, either.

use a plug in mic - it will override the exiting one in the camera and that should bypass the issue 👍

Bread making tip…..only use it to make the dough. It’s a very different consistency when you bake in it. It makes great cinnamon roll dough!
