The one that catches my eye is "Disable conquerors dataset", can't imagine a more cursed mode than playing expansions only, any way to do that if that launch option doesn't work?
I believe that one did work on the HD Edition at some point, but doesn't do anything in DE. Feel free to test it though and prove me wrong.
is aoe2 e better than aoe2 hd?
Yes, DE is absolutely better than HD, as long as you have have PC that is good enough to run DE
