  • democracynow.org - Democrats and Republicans are expected to spend about $1 billion getting their 2016 nominee elected. There’s a third group that will spend almost as much. It’s not a political party, and it doesn’t have any candidates. It’s the right-wing political network backed by the billionaire Koch brothers, Charles and David Koch, expected to spend nearly $900 million in 2016. The Kochs’ 2016 plans come as part of an effort to funnel hundreds of millions of dollars to conservative candidates and causes over the last four decades. The story of the Koch brothers and an allied group of billionaire donors is told in a new book by New Yorker reporter Jane Mayer, "Dark Money: The Hidden History of the Billionaires Behind the Rise of the Radical Right." Mayer traces how the Kochs and other billionaires have leveraged their business empires to shape the political system in the mold of their right-wing agenda.

This is pretty depressing. Starting to understand the extreme violence of the French Revolution.

Tax the ruling class! Preferably they should be taxed so onerously they could only afford one vacation home, one limousine, one airplane and one yacht apiece with not enough left over to buy even one congressperson.

If they did give every American one million dollor, there would be no problem and every one would prosper and that would not cost one billion, with the rest of the money they could do some other good things, because all these moneys are not theirs only, it is very important what good is done with all that money, every one dies eventually, there is no other way in this life and in the end every one will answer for every bit we did in this life to use things that were loaned to us for the time period in this life life time that we are in

Incredible!. The actual users of the tools of the refineries, the doers have nothing whatsoever to do with the equipment. Its not their's! Its private property and as the property of the corporation the tools take on an entity to themselves to which workers say; "i don't know...you'd have to ask the company that question, I just work here".
Workers are still indifferent to their relationship with the means of production but the means of production are not indifferent to the labor-process. Every second it gets the MPs is sucking up the energy of some millions of poor slobs in the factory floor. Chopping off arms, cutting fingers, posioning lungs, causing hearing loss, blindness, loss of physical, emotional, social well being, and worse of all breeding a place so indifferent of any sociality that can drive a person to kill their fellow employees and blow up the boss in the workplace. This is how production takes place in America. Machinery, technology, running constantly, workers using the machinery and technology of non-workers, and the science behind it has it running indefintely violates the physical limits of human endurance to overwork. We are controlled by the labor-process and the process is an independent entity shaping our material world and social life. Working takes on an automatic reality outside of the workers as duration. The clock is used to measure working duration to sustain the livlihoods of non-workers. It is impossible to cultivate conscientiousness and solidarity in a workplace that uses working time to crush any form of working class consciousness. When workers are working with scientific technology the best interest of society is not in there hands, to assume responsibility for, legally workers will tell you; the CEO gets paid the big bucks to assume responsibility to not harm society. This is just another affirmation the workers are not yet ready to assume responsibility much less begin to act for their own share of the economic surplus.
