I like how the color options for Evo80 are so varied - for once I actually like the color options more than the white, black, grey, silver options. The baby blue looks amazing - I'm sure you'll love it 🌞
The storage method for the 2.4gh dongle is interesting. The magnet sounds strong enough so that the dongle won't wobble away, but it'll be just a slight bit annoying having to pull off the cover when taking it out or putting it away. Nonetheless, it looks like a nice pre-built keyboard. Will you also make a sound test video without the foams?
It's interesting and the first time I've seen it set up this way. I can appreciate why they did it though. Keeping the dongle tucked away makes the keyboard exterior very clean. Unfortunately, I've only tried the FR4 option (the one in this video). If I had the option to choose between the two though, I would actually go for PP due to its relative rarity compared to FR4 (you are more likely to easily find other FR4 options than other PP options). Don't let that sway your preference in sound though!
@ thank you for the confirmation. In the meantime I got a neo80 with 3 dofferent plate options and the keygeek y3 switches. Let’s hope it turns out alright
@@JohnSmith-tv5ow Ultimately, after many hours of comparing a lot of keyboards to each other and not finding THE one flawless keyboard, I bought the Keychron Q12 Max with the banana switches and I am very happy with it. It doesn't sound metallic at all and with the osume keycaps, I have a really nice soft thocky sound without any extra modifications. The original keycaps are really nice, too! They sound rather clacky. At the beginning, I noticed that the spacebar and some other longer keys did have some issues with staying horizontally straight, but that seems to be not the case anymore. I hope you'll find your dream keyboard.

@@TAZAKEY I'm just not a fan. It's subjective, but I like clean minimal logos and it definitely isn't. Branding isn't their strong suit. Owlabs, QK, Neo, and Evo all have pretty ugly branding imo. I like minimal branding like Mode boards, Gok Venn, a logo like Smith and Rune, Owlabs Spring, or nothing at all.
@K1LO_ you like building KBs right? Then remove the logo and replace it. You can 3d print or even file down the logo. Such a small issue to deal with.
That is one of the best looking keyboards I have ever seen. The red is amazing.

Pp vs fr4 which one do you prefer more. I feel like contrary to normal, the fr4 with this system sounds deeper than the pp
