I've always felt a little weird that I've always dreamed of surfing these areas, being as freezing and hard to access as they are. You're video is making it harder for me to ignore my dreams. ;-)
I really find this to be the most evocative region up north, and i know many of the northerners up here would agree. I have to say that the soubdtrack did work wonders and amplified my own trip down memory lane.
Dope surfing & sick footage! But I hope that the era of flying helicopters and getting surfers and filmmakers across the whole world for just for couple sessions could be in Surfing industry over, just like Jeremy Jones, Patagonia brand and many others found a way to be better for the environment, I am sure Billabong could to, maybe next time collaborate with local surfers and local filmmakers from the area you are filming at or hike to waves don´t fly helis, where is the adventure in that, as we say, earn the turn! The surfers who are one with the nature would appreciate the more conscious approach to show the next generations of how adventure surfing in 21 century could look. But hey I don´t know the whole context of the trip and have no hard feelings, just thinking out loud. Over all I liked the footage, surfers and waves! Cheers
Damn I though I was the only one right here thinking that...! The quality of the video and the surfing are here without a doubt. But after that it seems that Billabong is an old man with old habits that he refuses to change, even if he is part of creating/promoting a part of the climate crisis we are in. I've been where they are surfing. Some of them are reachable by car (which they probably did, yet it's way "cooler" to make us think it's so remote they had to take an helicopter...), and others need a two hours hike... I used to love this brands so much and as a photographer it was my absolute goal to work with such brands. Well not anymore until the rethink their business model : enjoying nature without taking care of it.
I surfed there in may of 2019. Although the surf was not pumping, it was a very unique experience for me, as a brazilian. I would gladly return. The place is amazing!!
Yeah north west Norway in the Lofoten islands. There’s a lot of good places on the west coast of Norway east coast and Sweden. Denmark is very consistent too.
Luana absolutely charged in this film. Conditions were heavy and water was 40 degrees. Look closely and you'll see multiple waves of her shredding. Everyone is in hoods!
The sound track was spot on 🙂
Good tunes and straight shredders!

I'm from Oahu and I'm in N. CA now, it's cold enough, nope. I hate wearing a wetsuit.

Does anyone know what camera this is filmed on?

Hurra! What month is this from?
Earlier this year in March. 🤙
Guess that place will remain uncrowded.
You can keep it no matter how good the waves get.
Just not for me.
Why put beers in the snow when the air's cold enough?

Couldn’t put any better music ?
Desperate
Surf trip consisted of 2 men and 2 women yet most of the shots are only guys surfing or guys drinking beer. Pretty pathetic Billabong..

@@eslate Please re-read my comment. I said “most”. Thanks for chipping in your opinion.
Someone had a bad day.
@@adamlorden5666 With all respect, I was not having a bad day. I’m just trying to raise my voice for marginalized women who surf.
@@5kowal maybe women should surf better then... Obviously not many are interested in watching it.
