As a Middle Easterner, Sunflower seeds are easily easily the most addictive snacks ever 😂😂 I could be on top of the tallest tower and completely devour a packet of them.
When she started talking about her aunt's damaged teeth, I felt that. I'm literally eating sunflower seeds as I'm watching this video, and my teeth are also damaged.
I know I'm late to the party here, but haematogen IS supposed to be semi-medicinal. It used to be made with blood (you can tell by the presence of the "haem" in the title), though more modern recipes replace it with supplements and vitamins as well as syrup etc. The purpose is to act as a supplement for various nutrients that can be obtained from blood. Rich in iron and vitamins etc. Love the stuff, especially the older ones. It isn't really a protein bar. If anything, I'd say the UK doesn't really have an analogue to it and the choice was not the best for a comparison.
a lot of people who learn english as a second language actually develop an american accent from watching american tv shows n stuff. also she studied in new york. personally, i can hear a russian twang because i have russian family but i agree that an american accent is taking over!
In America we put multiple sunflower seeds in the mouth. Hold most of them in your cheek. Then one at a time, move them with your tongue into your teeth, crack them spit out the shell and eat the seed.
Technicaly it's from that region. Ukraine only exists as a country for about 30 years. It was inveted at the east of Dnipro river where a lot east Ukranians are pro Russian and territories in the past were Russian.
I love how the Russian girl acts like it's going to be any different because it's in the jar lol he keeps having to say it as if it's going to possibly taste drastically different just because it's in a jar
Man, I'm from Ukraine and I tell you from experience you can go to 10 restaurants and try borshch and it'll be different. And when It comes from a jar you know your won't have the taste of freshly cooked ingredients and you know you;ll get the lamest possible recepie. To be honest, I think it's true about any food, so your comment seemed strange to me, but with borshch I know for sure there are traditions and secret family recepies involved and it's so hard to find a delicious borshch but it's worth it, because average borshch is nothing worth trying, but man, oh, man, when you try a borshch that's on 8\10 quality level or higher - it's awesome. It's just like with Snack Wars with Uncle Roger, when they gave him sushi from Tesco or fried rice from a microwave - obviously there is a drastic difference in taste.
Unilever no longer own Batchelor's in the UK, they were forced to sell it due to monopoly regulations. They own the brand in America and Australia I believe but they also renamed it in both countries.
Sunflower seeds are like pistachios, you need your hands free so good for TV or conversation, but a pain in the arse to eat otherwise, and the pre shelled ones are always a bit stale with no crunch and juiciness.
Marmite crisps are basically beef crisps, they're lovely don't get me wrong but it's just they barely taste of marmite at all. A generous spread on toast is always the way to go for a *true* marmite sample.
hate to break it for the Russians but you don't need to put sunflower seeds between the teeth where she said it caused a massive gap between her grandma's teeth as a middle eastern we always try to center the sunflower seed in the tooth itself and it works with the same force and momentum.

She's actually Russian. Her family left Russia because her parents were critical of Putin's government. She went to high school in the UK and university in the U.S. But she is not American.
The stereotypical accent from the USSR collapse times is a weird thing tho. Most of the people who studied at least some english would not have that nowadays. English phonetics is not THAT hard for a russian to grasp as people presume. Even I have no such accent and my english is quite jagged and lacks proper grammar XD
Some of russian snacks in that video is very accurate like Бабушкины семечки or candys but I never drink this vodka and its definately not popular one and sam,e about borsh in the jar, never saw this brand.
