I believe that minimalism and sustainability should go hand in hand. In a lot of these parts you say: Just get rid of it. You also mention the "20 20 rule" and you say if you can get it in less than 20 minutes then get rid of it and you can always replace that object. We need to take into consideration all of the resources that went into the making of our product. And throw things out ONLY if we absolutely need to. Our best option is donating / reselling if we don't like something or swap with friends. :) TIP: If you have wax in candles that doesn't have a smell anymore you can take it out, reheat it and add your favorite smells there. You'll have a candle as good as new.
I love candles too!! SO MUCH 😂 Actually, another person here commented that they melt down almost-empty candles and repurpose the wax to make tea lights! I'm going to try doing this with all my leftover candles moving forward! 🤍
I’ve decluttered almost all the items you listed before moving! Made the move so much easier. I love being surrounded by stuff I actually use without the clutter.
Just wanna say thank you for these videos its given me a much needed kick in the butt haha. I was a successful minimalist last year before i did a bunch of traveling and once i got back it seemed like i collected stuff! So back to decluttering I go!
Oh my , when i started decluttering it was a draining mess! It took me almost a year and im 3/4 done finally. And the more and more im using stuff and donating
The makeup one resonates with me 😂😂😂 Quarantine has made me realize how much I hate wearing makeup, so I just donated most of it either to my mom, family, or [women's] centers or threw it [the makeup product] away
Have you decluttered recently? Are you in the process of decluttering right now? I definitely am as I get ready to move across the country and I'm excited to bring you guys with me in some upcoming decluttering videos! 👋🏻
I decluttered some stuff yesterday, from my parents' house, they are hoarders! My biggest problem are bags, I am crazy about them lol also, love to collect pretty notebooks even if I don't need them much, and pretty mugs! Can't wait for your new videos from new town!
Tbh when you brought up books I was immediately like NO 🙅🏻♀️✨ lol 😂 I just really love having lovely physical copies of all the books that I adore. I want to one day have my own little library/office room.
I respectfully disagree about getting rid of multiples in regards to cooking utensils. At least for my lifestyle, I use so many and quickly run out before I can do a load of dishes! Just find what works for you! Minimalism is definitely different for everyone but at least we can share our similar journeys together 🥰
Hahaha it’s soooo easy to buy these nifty appliances for our kitchen and then barely ever use them. 😂 we had the same experience when we bought a spiralizer and ended up donating it!
Hi there, I’m just discovering your channel. Thank you for the great content! I am in the process of restarting my decluttering journey so thank you for all the tips. I need all the encouragement I can get. May I ask where you got your necklace? It’s beautiful. :)
You're so sweet! I'm so glad you find my videos encouraging for your decluttering journey!! I got this necklace on Etsy, I absolutely love it! bit.ly/3fwamE3 🤍😊
7:19 Whattt? Belts don't have 1 function of course! It's a way to turn your outfit from good to excellent Also foundation. You could say 2 instead. One for daily use, one for more fancy days
Just found your channel, love it! New subbie here! I declutter from time to time, don't have problem to get rid of things I don't need or like anymore,I feel freedom then 😊 ❤ this video, excellent done!
If I need to keep physical receipts for tax purposes I store them into folders to keep them organized, I do plan on purchasing quickbooks soon to store them digitally though so I don’t add to any physical clutter. For budgeting receipts like grocery’s, I store them digitally into Google sheets and then toss the physical copy! 🥰🤍
I don’t have kids right now so I’m not the right person to talk about this unfortunately. I highly encourage you to check out Sarah Therese on UA-cam! She’s a minimalist momma of three young kiddos and I feel she does an amazing job of keeping her house tidy and organized by involving the whole family! 🤍
Thank you so much for this! I will definitely make sure I do this in the future, I knew not to flush them and I discarded them with coffee grounds, but I didn’t know pharmacies accepted expired otc pills. 🤍 thank you thank you
My UA-cam suggestions is a mix of minimalism and hauls and I love both .... it’s a problem
This is me and my subscription feed to a T!
Girl, SAME
The irony 😭
Girlll I feel the same way!

20 minutes rule sounds a bit privilege, ngl
I just got rid of 4 garbage bags + a large box of donations. 💪🏼
I have been a minimalist for over 8 years now. I still struggle with candles I just love them!
I love candles too!! SO MUCH 😂 Actually, another person here commented that they melt down almost-empty candles and repurpose the wax to make tea lights! I'm going to try doing this with all my leftover candles moving forward! 🤍
If you love them then it’s not a struggle.

I bought a spiralizer 2 years ago to turn vegetables into noodles- used it ONCE 🙄
Hahaha it’s soooo easy to buy these nifty appliances for our kitchen and then barely ever use them. 😂 we had the same experience when we bought a spiralizer and ended up donating it!
I got one as a gift 2 years ago and I haven’t opened the box yet 😂 but I also have a tiny kitchen with no room to use it...yet 🤪
So satisfying to say

I struggle with receipts, what do you do with all your old ones?
If I need to keep physical receipts for tax purposes I store them into folders to keep them organized, I do plan on purchasing quickbooks soon to store them digitally though so I don’t add to any physical clutter. For budgeting receipts like grocery’s, I store them digitally into Google sheets and then toss the physical copy! 🥰🤍
Please send me all your old candles that you want to get rid of! I make them into new ones
13:56 great advice here
Great video 🌿🌸
I'm happy you liked it! Thanks for commenting! 🥰
I was wondering if you have kids? How do these tips apply with women who want to be minimalistic (like in your video) and also have kids?
I don’t have kids right now so I’m not the right person to talk about this unfortunately. I highly encourage you to check out Sarah Therese on UA-cam! She’s a minimalist momma of three young kiddos and I feel she does an amazing job of keeping her house tidy and organized by involving the whole family! 🤍
You can also check out Natalie Bennett! She has 3 young kids and has a series called Messy to Minimal! 🥰
If you only have one pair of sheets per bed, when do you wash them? 😯
When you’re awake and not sleeping in bed. ....
@@susie7336 But it takes more than half a day to dry, at least during winter...
@@yoshl1795 with a dryer it takes less than an hour for me
@@spring7643 I don't have a dryer lol. Also it's better for the environment to air-dry your laundry. 🙂
Bring old medicine to pharmacies or hospitals. Do NOT throw in garbage and please please especially do not flush them or wash them away!!
Thank you so much for this! I will definitely make sure I do this in the future, I knew not to flush them and I discarded them with coffee grounds, but I didn’t know pharmacies accepted expired otc pills. 🤍 thank you thank you
Adorable.
10:15 just happened to me last month lmao
I just found out I have to get rid of 90 % of my stuff 🥴
Why do you need the shelving unit in your living room? Just looks cluttered to me
Pro Tip: Delete Pinterest App
Unless you love it and find it inspiring like me! 🤍🥰
