@@mariar.333 The report said the calls were from a landline phone. I don't believe the loved ones are calling. I just don't think a person buried under multiple floors of concrete, appliances, furniture, etc are going to have ability to punch numbers to call. The day that my mother died. I could feel it in the air. I had been telling my grandmother for the past 2 weeks I feel her stepping from this life into the next. She assured me she wasn't passing away everything was fine. I said Mimi, please don't take away my reality. Don't make things such as this frivolous.
The morning of my mother's passing I walked into work and told my boss I was going to lose my mom that day.
Long story short. I finally made it home after finding out my mother had passed away. As I walk in the door the phone rings, I walk up and can't believe my eyes. It's my mother's home number. I pick it up and answer, shaking voice hello Mom. I cried my heart out. I told my mom hold on a second I got to check something. I hang up the phone and I quickly call my brother.
The whole family is at hospice. I asked him is anyone living with you is anyone at home? He said no why? I said I got to go I love you. Hung up and cried out, mom if that was really you please.. I saying that the phone rings. By this time my husband is spooked he jumps... Let's have a little manly fearful oOoOO...
God love him it really did spook him.
It was her number. I cried I talked to her I thanked her. I poured my heart out. Having no idea what was about to befall me was even harder than her death. But she was with me. I was so grateful for that.
We used to joke if either of us passed away before the other not to fret we would hunt each other.
I'm gifted. Always have been. It took 3 years for my husband to actually realize because he was such a skeptic. But after so many events he was like oh my gosh this is real.
I laughed and hung up the phone, and said, well I told you she's going to haunt me now..
Pasty pale in a fearful look on his face... I laughed at him and said don't fret not in a scary way.
Every night I tell my mother I love her I miss her and good night. Finally whenever I had grieved her death which took me a solid 3 years. I made it my first week of no tears. It wasn't until I was into around 6 or 8 months. That I would finally be able to go without crying.
So proud and saying my good nights to Mom. Without tears I told her I love you Mom, I was snuggling with my husband in bed laying on his tummy listening to the gurgles in his stomach. I hear I love you. It was a woman's voice, I sat up and laughed at my husband and said how'd you do that. He said I didn't say that. I said that's right it didn't come from you did it. I just heard gurgles mom... Of course all the color left his body. He said that sounded just like her. I said see she is watching over us. Paranoid he's like can you leave our room at night... Hahaha aaaaah TRUTH. I said yes spirits don't hang around in those situations unless I don't know there's some dark walkers that may watch you at night.
The soul never dies. Know that. Understand that. And if you do lose anyone. Mark my words they will watch over you. And don't stop connecting with them. It's good. It's good for you and it's good for them.
There will be moments where you won't even be thinking about them and you'll have a memory flood you. In those times they're going through a Life review. They're understanding the situation from your perspective and or everyone else's as well. You will see different things within that memory. And they're connecting to you understanding how you felt in those moments. Be they good or bad. It's a way to connect and understand. And learn. Learning on both ends.

People were trapped in collapsed buildings for days in Haiti after the tsunami; how many more people would have died if they were all just assumed dead even when they were actively attempting to communicate for help? Did you get hit in the head and lose all of your common sense? These are real people's lives here, in real-life grave danger. What's more likely, that God is allowing dead people to use the phone 16 times, or that the phone went oof the hook and some rubble is pressing "redial" at random intervals? I'm a devout catholic myself, but I admit the second explanation is more likely giving that when someone tries to call that landline it gives a busy tone (tube off the hook rather than unreachable), but the redial button gets pressed at random, calling the parents each time.

I know a man who told me that his dead mother texted his sister after their mother died. She continued to text even after they'd turned off her iPhone with Verizon. He showed me a message where he had taken a picture of the text. The man is a preacher in S. Alabama. I have zero reason to doubt him, plus he actually showed me a picture of the text. They were with their mother when she died in the hospital. It happened more than once. His sister got a text from her mother's phone when she was driving away from the hospital after she died. Then she kept getting the texts. Weird stuff happens here.

Regardless of how the calls were made, the family had a connection to a phone that showed the grandparents name 16 times. I believe in a calls from beyond, my deceased father called my then 8 year old niece who has "abilities" while the family was in a hotel room 197 miles away from where he passed and 4 years since he passed, she happened to pick up the phone. She called her dad to the phone saying "Dad, it's Grandpa ********, he's fine" The line went dead. He said "Hello Honey, it's Grandpa *********, I'm fine." I am more inclined to agree with the life alert, activated each time the debris on top shifts but it could be devine, letting them know they are still open to communicate and not to forget them.
