    I find so interesting that back in '03 I was just a kid playing video games, watching cartoons, enjoying my youth and not paying attention to the world. Now seeing this as an adult and looking back, I never realize all the chaos and mayhem that was going on at that time.

      @@rogerespinoza6105 Sure but the rest of the world was mostly peaceful too. Asia wasn't having any major wars (apart from the usual in Afghanistan), Latin America was having an okay time with hyperinflation coming to an end and democracy rising in Brazil, Argentina and India and China were rising. It was a time of hope like no other. If you doubt me just compare the music from the 90s and today's. The mood of the time was something else.

      Trailobyte: No sounds more like the 2016 election that they dragged out for 4 years where they said the election was rigged and Russia rigged it when now we find out it was all a lie. At least Trump had a case...winning night of election than all the sudden they stopped counting for the night (which is unheard of) and he ends up losing with some areas coming in 100% votes for Biden. Look in the mirror hypocrite. Joe Biden getting more votes than Obama and Trump which both had huge rallies and supporters.

    • @Jomskylark
      @Jomskylark 2 роки тому

      @@usnationalist8150 Hold on, Russia definitely interfered in the 2016 election. I think you're confusing that with Trump being involved. That was an accusation thrown around but ultimately dismissed for insufficient evidence.

    • @Jomskylark
      @Jomskylark 2 роки тому +1

      @@usnationalist8150 As for 2020, most states did not stop counting for the night. They had smaller teams while people slept, so counting occurred more slowly. It was actually fully expected that Trump would start out looking strong while Biden would have a resurgence later. This is not suspicious, this is just an understanding of how ballots are counted (in-person first, then mail ballots; Trump had more in-person votes while Biden had more mail votes).
      Areas supposedly coming in as 100% votes for Biden was debunked. The most prominent of this case (in Michigan) turned out to be a clerical error. Look up "vote dumps Biden fact check" and you'll see.
      Finally, Biden getting more votes than Obama is not a surprise given how politicized this country has become and how many Republicans voted across the aisle simply because they didn't want Trump in office anymore.

      @@TommyRibs No it wasn't. If they'd found WMDs that had existed in Iraq in 2000 it would have been headline news. Finding crap rotted in the desert from well before that is b.s. Scott Ritter, Geoffrey Oxlee (ex RAF Military Intelligence) have gone on the record about this. Also, other intel agencies have described it as nonsense that Saddam would disperse his capabilities in a way that would have allowed field commanders to target him.. and the damage the sand and heat would do to WMD stocks and equipment also shows up the lack of credibility.

      Because he wasn't singlehandedly responsible for doing so. To this day George W. is still blamed for the epic travesty that was invading Iraq and the Middle East in general but those same people who place blame solely on him conveniently forget he was misled by people he trusted. Dick Cheney was his closest advisor who was a part of the inner circle and he was a devious snake just waiting for an opportunity to strike. George W.'s issue was that he surrounded himself with the wrong kinds of people and was too ignorant and short-sighted to realize.

    I had no idea that when I was 13 in 2003 that I was actually 13 in 1970. Out of all the great antiwar music that came out during the early 2000s, the directors of this film chose a song from the Vietnam era that materially didn't even have anything to do with that particular conflict. Spirit in the Sky by Norman Greenbaum? What? For the montage footage of the anti Iraq war protests? I feel like the directors wanted to use Fortunate Son but couldn't get the rights and just said " We'll just find something similar"----although Fortunate Son would have been even more cringe so I can't wrap my head around it one way or another. Honestly the use of this Spirit in the Sky as the theme for the anti-war movement at the time is insulting, it's a total whitewashing of the absolute rage that the majority of the planet felt about the Iraq invasion. Even the footage they used seemed to minimize the enormity of the protests that occurred around the world consisting of literally hundreds of millions of people.
