Sometimes a hidden place is required and a closet can be made into a sacred space hidden from view of those who may have negative ideas about Santa Muerte. In my home I have an altar that can be seen by friends when they come over. It actually piques a lot of interest but discretion is important.
People need to understand that sometimes we can’t have altars out and the open. The number #1 altar is in my heart!💜 Santísima knows I love her we have an understanding.
I have her altar in my closet since I live with my mom in an apartment and it's temporary. I need my own privacy in my room so the closet was a good option, plus we don't have much furniture yet since we're moving back to our house soon. But her altar is also very nice. When I move back I do plan of making her a bigger altar in my room (not in a closet) since I'll have more space there. I never got the feeling from her that it was disrespectful. Being on this journey with her definitely taught me that you can't always trust what other devotees say bc we all work with what we have and are under different circumstances and ultimately you gotta talk to mama and most times she understands.
Is it bad if my cats constantly insist on drinkn the water from her water glass i habe tryed to keep them off of the altar but for some reason they always want to drimk her water eben when they have they own water they still want to drinj hers so i started lettin them but i just always make sure to fill it back up immediatly is that bad? Should i keep them completly out of the same room where altar is do u think she mimds? This is probably dumb question i just curiousu thoughts in regards to pets around her altar and keeping them away from it or not? Thank you.....❤😊
La Santisima Muerte absolutely adores animals! Your question isn't that far fetched, I've known devotees who's house pets start to gravitating towards her altar and the water. Now, if they start knocking thing around and off the altar then yes train them away from it. Just my two cents!
