Hrad Likava day out.36 meters tall, Almost 700 year old hilltop fortress, plus a cave and forest 🇸🇰

Hello guys, and a warm welcome back to Ruzemborek..
Today, I will be heading out to explore the local area. First up is a beautiful viewpoint at a cave, just a 10 minute drive from where I am staying.. I guess there is a lot more history here. But unfortunately, not speaking Slovakian, I didn't understand.. but it was nice to enjoy the walk and views..
Next up along my journey was a huge forest, with rows and rows of trees all perfect aligned..
It was absolutely magical and terrifying at the same time as you always hear weird noises.. After a quick escape, I spotted the stunning
Hrad (castle) Likava in the distance..
With a short drive I could see tge main road was closed and it was going to be a hire.. 30 minutes each way.. but definitely worth it for the exercise and the stunning views..
Built in 1341, it's almost 700 years old.. when it was first constructed it stood at 36 meters tall acting as the ideal location for a fortress..
For just a few euro each you can walk around this magnificent place, with many artifacts and areas to go you can learn alot from it's impressive history..
Then a 30 minute hike back through tge forest..
What a way to spend the day..
Total spend was €6 to visit the Hrad (castle) and get a coffee.. 🇸🇰🇸🇰
