So not only did I watch until the very end, I actually went back and rewatched this video with my 7 year old. He has been playing a lot of Brotato the past few days and was getting discouraged with not being able to finish Danger 1. He knows your videos from when we watch on the way to school, so I showed him that even you can still lose runs. And when you did, you didn’t delete the video and try again, you kept going and did much better the next time. He really liked the lesson and said to tell you “good job”.
that's such a great lesson. I remember being discouraged playing the Megaman games on the NES at around his age, maybe a bit younger, and I never got around to beating them back then, and always asking my older brother to just do it. I wish he had just sat with me and encouraged me to keep trying.
@@Cephalopocalypse @Cephalopocalypse I'm glad to hear. He's on fall break from school this week, and came into my office today to tell me he beat Danger 1 on Fisherman (using your spear fishing strat that I taught him). "Dad, I thought you said Fisherman was hard. I guess you're just not as good as Cephalopocalypse." Sigh.
When I see longer Brotato videos, I usually think it's 1) an early loss with a second run, or 2) Endless (which may or may not be labeled in the video). Either way, I'll watch.
I also watched until the end and enjoyed it very much. The title really intrigued me because I you seem to have so much luck in most of your runs and I wanted to see how you handle bad luck. I really appreciate that you shared your loss with us and showed us that even a player like you, can sometimes lose ;) It's a very important thing, because it is way more common to share only our successes rather then then our failures. Not trying to fanboy here too much but it really strengthend the image of you. keep up the good work.
16:36 Also you can get a similar effect by buying attack speed, defensive stats and speed to reduce the pressure waves has on you to get the materials more easily. It's good to have that in mind when you're unlucky with baby gecko.
I always finish videos that I start, might be the completionist in me (I think I spelled that wrong)😅 anyway, I agree that Crazy and Icicle have good synergy. Most Brotato players probably would have either started over or prayed for a quick death after getting those first shops
From start to finish! I really hope when I start watching a video and stop a few minutes in to maintain my 9month old daughter or the crazy dogs doesn't hurt the ratings. Wether in a few minutes or hours I do always come back and finish or restart it.
I really wish I could play this update or the GMO mod on my Switch. Brotato is the game I've been playing the most for awhile and I could use some fresh material to dig into!
i left after you lost but came back later. mostly i still watch most of your brotato videos in length. i have the time though and I'm usually eating breakfast and drinking coffee when your videos come out at 8am my time. try glutton/artificer with the pruner when get back to the GMO runs please and thank you
While trying to complete streamer and saver i lost so many runs due to not enough weapons early on. I recall the start of my winning streamer run because i finally found a weapon in the first shop without having to reroll a few times for it.
I don’t see why someone would stop watching a video like this when you lose. I just skip forward some. If the ice cube stacks, it probably goes a long way toward killing bosses in elemental builds.
are you sure the oldest enemies despawn? I recently had a Loot Alien spawn and despawn within 2 seconds (which sounds awful until you realize I was playing Pacifist)
Honestly not sure! I've heard different people say different things - either way if it's random the oldest ones have the most chances to be despawned, so the upshot is fewer goobers on a wave 14 horde
Does piercing not work how I thought it works? I thought it was the same percent damage regardless of how many times it pierces, but he’s saying the more it pierces the lower the damage? Would appreciate help with my understanding of this :)
For me it depends a lot on if I'm interested in the deck/format, but pretty reliably LSV, Andrew Cuneo, Amy the Amazonian, sometimes Aspiringspike, Reid Duke, Yellowhat, and LoadingReadyRun on the more casual side. Also MTGRemy is the funniest guy in the business

I really love this. I showed this comment to my partner as well and she thought it was the cutest thing she'd ever heard

He didn't really address it in the video, but I noticed his first shop was really bad.
Interesting point! I hadn't considered that
I was going to say

happy to see Ceph having my average luck
I've died on wave 11 with three(!) lvl one weapons before.

Nobody's going to mention the pumpkin and sharp bullet right after saying he wouldn't be able to find the pumpkin? Honestly iconic moment

I've started to be able to clear danger 5 levels. All thanks to your guides and tips.
Awesome, congrats!
Still here, watched you skip bag! 😂✌️👍💜
If you want to just mod in Fireball from the start and see how it plays, go for it! I'd love to see the run.
Did we even see a fireball in either of these runs?
Retention mafia here. I'm having my guys run the data on your witch hypothesis. We'll be in touch.
Still here to the end! Losing is just part of the brotato game

The opposite of streamer luck is gamer luck.
"Humans are very likely to think that way"
Wait! Are you not one of us?!?!? Lol I kid, love your vids
55:38 my assumption is that they moved it to 4 because Giant’s belt (that is similar in how it does percentage damage) is at level 4.

First. Love your work man; great insights, and Crazy is my fave character. Keep up the good work!

RNGesus is not with you these days :(
Yes, finally a game with wisdom. XD
leaving a comment here to let ya know we are still watching ^^
Still here. I wanna see u do a broken run

Renegade and Doctor was a fun one for me, not sure if you'd be intrested in that combo

Thank you Ceph, as always.
Do you post on other platforms? Twitch, X, etc.?
I like the longer videos it’s just more content I don’t mind if you lose
POV: my average 1 out of 5 start

Watched until the end and you mis-spoke about Greek fire, it does only 1% to bosses and elites, 10% to normal enemies
I'm big into Magic, which streamers do you follow?

🐐🐐🐐
Only the Circular Saw is worse
30:06 it was one material from three enemies, not four. So, very, very unlucky. Not extremely unlucky. 😂
Free Bird....lol
52:38 still here!
Cheers!
Still here
ur playing mtg??? xD nice
Which MTG streamers do you watch?
😢 I play on Xbox. I hope I don't have to wait long for this new stuff.
October, supposedly (along with the DLC!)
In such cases it’s better to just restart the run
Sometimes! Usually you can turn it around, but not in this case apparently!
