The hardest habit to breakaway for most folks is the fear of not bringing enough for their travels. Once this one bag travel gets into their genome it is Freedom of travelling light 😅
Unless someone is traveling to a "very remote" location, they can typically pick up something at their destination if an "emergency" arises. I've long stopped bringing the "what if" items because most of those can easily be replaced if needed.
One bag is good, but international one bag is even better. In the US weight doesn’t matter but outside the US it does. If you can get below the typical (but not universal) 7kg, that’s awesome.
HI. In Italy we say "Viaggiare Zaino In Spalla" 😊... I also think this is the best way to travel the world. In short: lightness, money saving, time saving ✈🎒
I travel with 1 backpack, people need to learn that you can get the laundry done at hotels for way less than the check bag fee or the hassle of having multiple bags. I also have a small shoulder bag that I fill with VR glasses and a spare phone full of movies that hook to the glasses as well as a battery pack to recharge stuff and noise canceling earphones.. I take the small bag out for under the seat in the plane, when we land it goes back in the top of the big one and when I am in the hotel I empty the small one and take it with me around town, front mounted for safety with $$\phone and whatever else in it.... I have gone all over asia like this for years. the average cost for laundry is $3-$12 for 4 days worth of clothes to get washed/dried and delivered back to you. ( Also I use a backpack that has wheels and a extendable handle so it can be rolled around like luggage, this saves my back 99% of the time )
Because Edwina and Martin come with us in their backpacks, we’re stuck bringing carry-on roller bags. Even though we’re not hand-free anymore, everything else you said about carry-on travel is spot on!! Especially the simplicity of packing and unpacking. But just a backpack is the best!!
I can’t do one bag since I travel with a clap machine but my last 4 trips (one which was international) was carry on only. Definitely more beneficial for me for most of the reasons you mentioned. I don’t think I’ll be going back to check ins 🤙🏽
I always do this and travel companions will actually get angry at me for not going to the check in desk, and again when they are wheeling those silly cases through cobblestone streets. All to carry stuff they will never use. Your fluffy slippers dont need to see the world
This is fine if you don’t have to wear suits in your work. I’d like to see a version for those who have to dress for business. I just came back from a 5 day trip where I was in a suit every day. I can pare everything down to two bags, but one is tough
That is a great point! I will add it to the list of videos to make, because that requires a little different packing style. Thanks for sharing and watching❤️
Same point as @gwaddles. I want to travel for business and leisure - maybe meetings on Friday and Monday with a free weekend so I can do some photography and sightseeing in between the work. Wearing a suit on the plane isn’t always helpful if it gets creased so I just take two bags. I’d love to squeeze it all into one bag though.
This is great as long as you don't need to bring a laptop or any other stuff with you and your only traveling for a couple of days. How much time do you waste on your trip having to wash and rewatch clothes or do you just continue to wear stinky clothes, one bag is perfect for a weekend getaway for sure.
Not true. I have a laptop, camera equipment and am traveling through 8 countries. It's not a problem. Just leave behind all the just-in-case stuff and have clothes you can wash easily. Pro tip:wash your clothes when you are taking a shower, it doesn't take much extra time.
The backpack by its self weighs 4 lbs, but with everything in it and being that I carry a fair bit of electronics my pack usually ranges from 20 to 23 lbs. Thanks for watching our video❤️

"Just keep walking" sums it up. Great video! We couldn't agree more. Thanks for bringing us along for the trip.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Do you ship to Australia? I would be interested in trying that bag for my next trip. 😊

My wife and I have been travelling for several years (25+ countries), and we only carry one backpack each (26L GR1). Travel light and right.

You didn't explicitly say this, but one BACKPACK is key for us. Having the one bag directly connected to my body is key; no wheelie bags!!!!

Since 2017 and I don't regret it.

Great stuff, thanks for sharing! I also agree with laundry so easy and cheap to do. ❤️

Our last holiday we went to usa, canada and iceland and had 1 carry on bag each for the 5 weeks. So many couldnt believe how it could be done.
Great video. I am keen to try the one bag on my next trip. Although it is 10 days in Vietnam.
Hello from Australia 🇦🇺 😊
And there’s the great benefit of the exercise you get from carrying a bag - of reasonable weight. !!
Tried it recently in my trip to Chiangmai Thailand, I bag really great, have to train up my arm muscles to be more confident. Really great
Thanks for your:) It is the best option for travel.
Great video,
Is this bag considered a personal item or a carry on?
Cheers
Great video! I love One bag travel!
Thanks for watching❤️

Merino = no stink 🥰
Which size bag do you have so it fits under the seat. Thanks
The backpack I was using for this trip was 30L and 20.5 x 12.2 x 7.5 in
What backpack do you use for your backpack travel?
In this video I was using the 30L Travel Backpack from Tortuga bit.ly/3UfoyIi
I always just do carry-on. It is so much better with less
I agree, thanks for watching ❤️
More one bag vids!!!
I am 100% never checking a bag again! So much easier and cheaper hahaha
Which brand and model bag are you using?
What’s the blue bag?
How much does your bag weigh packed please?
The backpack by its self weighs 4 lbs, but with everything in it and being that I carry a fair bit of electronics my pack usually ranges from 20 to 23 lbs. Thanks for watching our video❤️
Wow, the legs on that chick. Hardcore gym warrior. Congrats to red!
But that is not a 7kg bag. It looks more like 12-15kg.
Jacket pockets. It only needs to weigh less for a few minutes.
